This thread is missing the, "I favor the FDA regulations" voice. Surprised that (new) member hasn't chimed in yet.

Here, I'll play that role: I think it would be good to keep the regulations as is, cause then our government can take care of the quality issues currently happening with eCigs. I don't think our products had diketones in them prior to 2007, so that would be really great if we could go back to that time period, when everything was so much better than the questionable products we get now.

(How'd I do?)

I know that you are no troll, but every week we get a troll on ECF, be it juice, pv/vg, box or mech mod killing someone. Expect a real one in 3... 2... 1.

I am not too worried, myself. Partly because I have a stockpile, but mostly because it will be like Obamacare. The government can write all the unworkable laws they want. What they can't do is make an unworkable law work.

Very perceptive and true but you know what cracks me up the most , we actually have people running the Country who insist it is workable and so far it's working out great , hold on a minute please ..............., ok , i'm back , i busted out laughing when i said that and didn't want to be rude , i think i'm alright now .

These lawmakers have to go , the longer they stay the more useless they become , i mean GET OUT !!! We need fresh blood , how did these (wastes of human life) get these jobs in the first place , needing to have the right connection is no longer applicable for these types of positions , nowadays a brain that works should be required , extremely disgusted.

I need to go lay down now .

What worries me is how Provari and other US made vaping gear will deal with this ? Hell, how are all our favorite Modders going to deal with this...

I think that with the possibility of it getting hard to find parts to keep our gear going, we need to get together and start a thread or subforum for those types of items. Modders need to give up the sizes of their o-rings and screws, and if they wont we need those with machining skills and knowledge to share info and maybe start up a side job dedicated to some of the more popular devices for replacement parts.

I am just fed up with Back Pocket Government on All Fronts. All it seems to take is the right amount of Cash and no matter who it effects, the deed gets done.:glare:

Reading implications on the FDA site, I see a good possibility of Nicotine becoming a heavily Regulated and restricted product.

Meanwhile BT will likely close out e-cig operations and roll forward like the Big Dogs they are.

This whole mess is an insult to the Illusion of FREEDOM.

We as a people have asked for this at every turn
We have ignored change in Government
We have ask others to run our lives
We have freely handed over our rights
We are a land of Sheeple:(

Well, time to wait and see what comes next.:grr:

For me, phase 1 begins. Reducing Nic to 1mg. and hoping the body complies.

My best wishes for those now vaping and Prayers for those who may, in the future, have switched.
What time do you think this will go in effect. I'm about to buy a ljter or maybe two of nic and just see what happens.I need to get s couple tanks I've wanted to. I think I got my final mod. I might have to go fully rebuildable tho and diy. Not something I wanted to do

It would be wise to have both nic and rebuildables.

This is not a done eeal yet. Yes, the handwriting is on the wall and we can all take steps to cya, maybe some extra for a bud or new vaper, but it can still get modified. I worry that too much cynasim will lead to folks dropping out instead of being outraged and pro active. This is just begginning.

Well, I guess Im going to keep all that I have now. Was thinking of selling because I felt that 15 atomizers and 14 Mechs were too many. Guess at my age that should see me through another 20 years , I hope...

I have to go over the things I have in the classifieds and think about keeping them, just in case....

Only thing that worries me is the cost of Nic base. Maybe I should buy a few more liters before the price doubles or more...
Even if the current prices of nic are doubled, it is still a bargain compared to vendor e-liquid if you purchase your PG and VG in bulk, and compared to tobacco and it's inherent onerous taxes, self mixed e-liquid when procured with quality and economy in mind, is akin to a free ride relatively speaking...

I've heard some rumours they wanted flaored eliquids off the market as soon as Janurary. That's not do able. But imo, it sounds like there's some cig promoting zealots feeling empowered for some reason, so hopefully they'll hang themseles with their own over reach. I don't think anyone has a crystal ball right now. Good guesses maybe.

We'll see a steady lack of innovation from China and about time production slows down, prices will increase. We're going to miss new stuff coming out all the time. I hope this era can be archived so we can show what vaping could have been.

Meanwhile, take them to court for the murder of millions.

I wish. It appears the FDA is sovereign and can't be sued? However, who got sued when they seized stuff in 09?

No, we don't have crystal balls, and don't really know what will happen, but it doesn't look promising. On my part, I choose to:
1. Have what I need to continue vaping for as long as possible in the worst case scenario.
2. Continue harrassing elected officials. I'm sure some view me that way.
3. Do everything I can to educate non vapers.

Am I willing to take actual militant action against them? Umm, no. Do I want to break laws to get stuff? I really don't, so I'll get it while I can legally.

The other thing we all really need to do is vote our enemies out of office, even when we have to cross party lines. Even if we lose, they need to lose their jobs. You never know what could be overturned in the future. Hanging our heads and voting them back into office is saying, "Ok, I give up."

Theres just other things on my priority list to buy and how long does nic stay good? And will flavorings be banned or faxed too?

How long can nic last? We don't really know. Some say a decade, some say indefinitely. I have to think it will degradea bit. That 100mg/ml may be 90mg/ml after a certain number of years.

I don't see how they can stop vg, pg and flavors.

Time to organize and protest! Here the law was passed and was to take effect January 1st 2016, one protest that was organized in just 8 days made a big difference, 300 people showed up, they pushed the date back and are going to make changes...

Make sure your mission statement is clear..

#VapingIsNotSmoking
#VapingSavesLives
And whatever else concerns you specifically.

Put up flyers showing how much safer ENDS (Electronic Nicotine Delivery System) are compared to tobacco, make them appealing to non-vapers and non-smokers as well, saying how many of your loved ones lives could have been or will be saved thanks to ENDS?, make posts on social media, contact your local officials and yes have a rally! Point out the fact that 1000s will lose their jobs, homes and their livelihood.

Be sure to shy away from the word "e-cigarette" and refer to them as ENDS or Vaping instead, having the word cigarette in there has done nothing but harm to the industry.

We've spoken to a lot of gov officials here, most of them had NO clue with anything about vaping other than what they've seen in the media, they think they are full of formaldehyde, antifreeze and other terrible stuff, educating them has gone a LONG way, we went from one official supporting us to many.

Push for the fact that they should be separated from big tobacco, they are a means of cessation and should be kept out of the hands of the people that people want to get away from.

I think that may be too simplistic. The true cost savings on nic right now are buying a significantly higher concentration than you actually use. If sales are shut down for anything higher than 18 or even 24 mg/ml a good portion of the savings is gone, poof. And that is assuming that buying liquid nic is still legal.

Speaking for myself, I live in the middle of a corn field. If internet sales are banned I'm sol. There is a local B&M, but they don't sell bulk nic. Their prices for hardware are quite a bit higher than those I find online, too.
