90% of my DIY juice is unflavored. The ones I flavor at normal percentages are used as additives to my unflavored tanks. I mix them at generally recommended flavor percentages, but hardly ever fill a tank with them. I'm stuck on rayon for wicking. It's amazing how your taste buds perk up when you flavor lightly.
Glad you mentioned this Dave. I started doing this about a month ago and was pleasantly surprised. When I mentioned this in the DIY forum most people just rated my post as funny. Not sure if they thought I was joking or they were just being polite as if to say.....yeah right.

Now, I do find it does not work really well with some Chocolate flavors, but works best with fruit and tea flavors, which is what I vape the most of.

:)

BTW I hate (when wicking a coil) in an RTA the pieces of rayon that are discarded as we cut to trim and form the wicks gets all over my work space. I sometimes feel like I have to hurry to finish and clean it up as it drives me nuts. lol...... yeah, I know, some of my OCD is showing.

If you try trimming rayon wicks on an Aegis with a silicon finish you very quickly end up with a "furry" mod. And because of static (I assume), it takes ages to clean off :w00t:.

No 1. Not being able to find liquid that either A; is 12 mg or B; a 6mg that has good throat hit at vape stores. I would love to experiment with other brands besides Naked 100 but every one I've tried has zero throat hit.

No 2. Finding an Evolv powered device, where I live, is dang near impossible. I don't want a half :censored: built mod with a bunch of lights, bluetooth and a board that I can't trust.

No 3. Manufactures using childish labels on their packages, vaping is under a microscope and these manufactures are giving the industry a bad name.

No 4. The whole pod thing, I like the fact that we have pod mods that are marketed towards smokers but it's to the point now where some shops don't even sell mtl tanks or coils. I have concerns for the nicotine levels too 36 mg is a lot. I am not a doctor and not pretending to be one but imho I don't think that high of nicotine is good for your heart. Again that's just my opinion.
Missed this post. I demand throat hit. You need to get into DIY because I can get a great one, albeit DTL, from just 3mg nic.
It can be flavour, concentrate dependent too, some of my mixes give less, some more. But I'd ditch anything that gave none.

What I really hate though, is the fact that I have to clean my windows far more often since I started vaping.

mimo...I can only surmise that you were a NOT a cigarette smoker before you started vaping???

Since I live in a corner apartment where ALL the outside walls are ceiling-to-floor GLASS...I am somewhat "sensitive" to window cigarette/VG film...

As a cigarette smoker...I called the window cleaner every 3 months...

When I started vaping with 30PG/70VG ejuice...I only called the window cleaner every 6 months...

Now...after switching to 70PG/30VG ejuice...I only need to call the window cleaner every 9 months...

Trying to find a juice flavor that I like that has enough Nic to keep me right.

Tim...have you considered trying some WTA ejuice???

I keep about half my tanks filled with nicotine ejuice and half filled with WTA ejuice...and just pick up whichever tank I feel like at the moment...

WTA, the difference

..

Nope. I was quite a heavy smoker before I started vaping.
But I'm slightly sensitive to PG, and I don't like its taste either nor do I need/enjoy the throat hit anymore, so aside from PG-flavor I vape max VG if possible.
This combined with DL-vaping isn't very window-friendly.;)

What do i hate about vaping? Lets see, theres.....nope. Ummm the uhh....nope not that either. It must be the.....no, thats not it. Aha! Its the nic salt vs freebase nic thing. Ive found nothing explosively different between the two, nothing worth posting thread after thread after thread about why someone should use one or the other, or worse, HOW someone should use one or the other or in which device. Yeah, that.

1) When you lose the buzz for rebuilding and you finally get the inevitable less tasty hit and have to go again...

2) Worse still is when you get the less tasty hit and wick again. Then you realise it’s vapour tongue and you just wasted a little more precious time and it might be a good week before you can truly enjoy that exact juice again :(

I hate the fact that, where I live, can't buy Aspire MTL coils (for the Nautilus family of tanks). Nor other brands, for that matter.
Things have got better in the past year, because the advent of pods / AIO which are mostly for MTL, but still, no coils for pure MTL tanks.
Should I, for any reason, run out of Nautilus coils, I have plenty of MTL RTAs, but, why? I call it discrimination, same as "only 3 and 6 mg juices only".

I think that flavor sensitivity comes with vaping unflavored for a while. After doing for a while the regular percentage DIY flavored juice seems really strongly flavored. About 10 to 15 percent flavored juice in a tank of unflavored perks it right up once you get used to unflavored.

If you have a pod friendly shop close I noticed some pods use those Nautilus coils.

Totally agree. Funny how that works. I didn't even vape unflavored for a few days before i added some of my diy ejuices to a tank. And I did not notice a lack of flavor at all. Today i tried just using one of my regular mixes without unflavored and it was so strong I could not vape it. Had to add unflavored. Lol

The most frustrating thing about vaping is how the anti-smoking lobbyists have latched onto it and convinced my government that it's the same thing as smoking. And in the USA the the labeling on every piece of equipment must read "this product contains nicotine" even when it literally doesn't.
