I got tired of fumbling with leads while holding an atty so I took a meter I wasn't using, mounted the connectors in a battery box, and wired them internally. Now I screw on an atty and turn on the meter to get a reading....works well and cheap to make.

The one you sent me Rock's. Thanks again Oh and Happy Birthday as I can't post in the classifieds

It's YOUR fault I had to make another one.

I couldn't go back to the one I was using after making yours with extra space between the connectors so a tank or an Iatty would fit.

Thanks for the B-Day wishes; I used to worry about getting old, but now I appreciate each day I have.

i havent, yet. Please tell me the secret to getting 2 weeks.
So, anyone had a highly used (about 2 weeks of constant use) fiberglass wick (one that came with it) start to fall apart at the coil? Looks like parts burning away, got a chunk missing... and taste is not so great.

My highscore was at 10 days constant vaping with the fiberglass wick (just got the iatty ). The taste became very bad so i changed the coil/wick.
No wick felt apart off the coil, but the wick looked like burned

My fiberglass wick was burnt black after one day of use with a 1.5ohm coil at 3.7 volts regulated. I also use the wick on top of the coil method. I checked my XC-116 wick again today after 7 days of heavy vaping and it is still bright white and clean.

Para, it's tempting to change too many things at once with the iAtty, and if you do, you will never know which ones makes it a superior vape. Slow and steady wins the race

Yeah....keep the variables to a min. Next up is a 5 ohm coil; not sure how it will vape, but I'm about to find out. lol

Also bit the bullet and rolled a SS mesh wick. I've never had much success with those, but thought I'd give it another go with a 3 ohm coil and compare it to the 116 wick.

What about the coil? I vape dark juices and my major complaint with that is that the coil and wick get gunked up after only a days vaping and need to be cleaned, IMHO, for best taste and performance.

I would take your Iatty apart and clean all the pieces, replace the coil and wick and start from scratch.

...especially the top piece and most especially the ceramic cup. After a while grunge builds up in and around it's base so I run mine through the ultrasonic to get it all out.

Hope your supplies get their QUICK !

Can take weeks to get here, cleaned everything, made a new coil, same nasty taste... I'm confused, and out of wire.

That's what happened to me when I tried to do the "easy replace wick" method. I just gave it up and went back to wrapping the coil around the wick.

Only things in common are the wick on top, and the ohms (1.7 for both). 1.7 should be just fine on this, and previously I was using wick on top and it was working fine...
