I know you said you have a bad eye's and clumsy hands but it wouldn't be a big outlay for you to try one rta with a draw similar to the zenith. An rta, roll of wire and a bag of cotton or rayon and you could play around for a while just experimenting. Stockpiling a life time supply of wire and cotton is ridiculously cheap and easy.
It' very easy to build and wick rta's once you get into your own rhythm with it
Thank you for this. I will think about doing a cheap experiment, but I very likely will decide not to bother. I'm steadily declining (secondary progressive MS is an irresistible force, and I am not an immovable object), so what I might be able to do on one of my good days now could easily be impossible soon. Even at the moment, the thought of handling little screws and tiny screwdrivers or indeed seeing them clearly is daunting.

You're awfully sweet to take the time to encourage me, though. I appreciate it a lot.

Since I got the zenith yesterday, I’ve noticed the coil seems like it’s flooding a little bit after sitting. Not to the point where I can’t use it but notice a little gurgle / restriction at first. I’m not expecting great things from the .5 coil.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
my Pico boards burnt out, (started with 5 total.. Now I have 2repaired & 1 nearing the end of it's life,,,,,,) but again I am an extreme user at 30mls a day.. So I was hitting the power button 5xs more often than someone who vapes 6mls. (.20-.35 ohms @ 25-35 watts)

I did get 2 Picos that had a very short life, 1was only 30+/-days. I think Cool_Breeze fixed it. --when buying something so far in advance,, you risk the inability to return the items -if that matters to you,, and the item may not even be in production any more. I thought about that this time of stock piling... Either buy several of whatever I like or buy what may last 2-3years. I went with the 2-3 years with the exception of 1 mech

As for the Pico squonk, I had low expectations for it when I bought it. I have really grown to love it. It's dependable.. Mine are the nearly Mech 1st generations... No adjusting only computerish feature is the micro usb charging port... No screen. I use narda atty,, I didn't like the Coral atty. Far more Atty's available today. Would I buy another squonk -yes, 10000%. I loved the kangtech Nebox because it held a lot of eliquid which was great for road trip back home. ( my parents can't travel here easily so I drive to them 450+/-) as we know kangertech Nebox had leaking design flaw. So Pico was a good replacement ,,,I think there are regulated squonks out there,, I would like one or three lol. My advice to you is research the Atty's,, that where the level of happiness is at with squonking,,, the mod may be great but if the atty can't keep up or allow your build,, you won't be happy. (I want a semi built in juice well I don't want any a b/f atty that the outter shell creates the well... Too much leakness.)

The good news out of my recent pickle was it forced me to look at the newer generations of gear, I am no longer pinned to 22mm atomizers, there are Atty's out there very similar to my Griffin's,, so over all I am happy.

If unicorns are listening, I would like to know we can get a cohesive list of what size bubble glass we can use on nearly any tank.

Thank you for the info on customs incoming packages.

Great job on your weight /health! I have really enjoyed my ever expanding journey... I made it 3:01 minutes Thursday holding my breath (Wim Hof).. Not doing as well on the ice baths lol.... Only 2
okie dokie,, I found Pico 2squeeze makes a regulated squonk and I think I like the recurve for the b/f atty. Any comment on either? Good, bad, ugly all welcome

Both the Pico Squeeze version 1, and the newer Recurve are not true mechanical mods. They are both very nice but the Pico Squeezes last a little over a year with regular use. I assume it will be the same with the Recurve too.

I have seen nice used Reo Grands for $50 and $60. They will still be squonking perfectly, a long time after everyone reading this is dead in the grave. All it takes is one Reo and you never have to worry about stockpiling mods ever again.

For some unknown reason people are inclined to stockpile a dozen or so crapper mods, instead of one good mod that will outlast them.

I'm game: what are the good mods that will outlast me? Nothing crazy--we're talking twenty-thirty years here.

For now after looking around, I don't see the point of buying another squonker,,,other than the Topside one seems best designed regulated IMHO,---yes, over the Pico 2 squeeze,,,, , I have 2 Pico squeeze that when their little safety chip dies can be converted to a full mech squonker.. The new mod I have is a Drag,,, very much can be converted into a mech duel 18650 or single whatever with a 20-30ml squonk. The old kangertech Nebox would make a good squonker.

Just prepped 3,000 ml of "base" to 500ml bottles; base includes everything except flavorings. Flavorings also premixed; usually ~30ml of each. Ejuices then mixed as needed using the base and flavoring. Keeps DIY simple and consistent and takes minimal times. Dumped remaining VG stored in plastic and in the closest from May 2015 (3 1/2 years) and ordered fresh. Stated shelf-life on new bottle is 2 years -- I would say that's about right. With current freezer space, plan to limit vg stocks to 2-2 1/2 years' supply. Meanwhile, nic in glass and stored in freezer, dating April 2016, is still pristine. About 3,250 ml of 100mg nic in the freezer. Haven't considered consumption recently but maybe 17 years of supply. Life is good. :)

In case anyone needs wire, wicking, tools, eliquid, and other things that Lightning Vapes carries...they're having a 25% off sale that started at 4PM today and runs until 12:01AM Monday. There's no code needed.

    From their email:
"This weekend, we're offering 25% off most items in our store! If you're looking to pick up some of the best quality wire on the market, or that time saving tool you've been wanting, then now is the time to do it!"

From my experiences buying from them, they have very reasonable S/H, too.

So my stocking up, pretty much complete, has taken a weird twist. I've been happily MTL with the same basic setups for years, using a light mint/menthol DIY. I still sometimes drip tasty stuff for fun and missed the days when I wouldn't leave the house with a handful of rich flavors. I've gotten spoiled with tanks and become too lazy to drip regularly. I will wind coils but only as a last resort. As these liquids are mostly coil killers my frugal side couldn't tolerate the frequent drop-in coil changes.

Last year I ended up with a subohm tank that I love for heavier flavors, the Wotofo Flow Pro. About 25-35 watts into those .18 ohm coils seems to be my sweet spot and they last a long time. I'm about to amend the stockpile with a bunch of those coils and other tanks that use them - they're Baby Beast compatible. I never imagined that a Smok coil design would become a quasi-standard with so many compatible tanks. Any suggestions would be welcome! The Geekvape Illusion Mini looks pretty good and the AT22 tank that came with the Artery Nugget X kit I won can use these coils too. It's hard to find 22mm tanks that can fit these coils for my smaller mods, but I know they're out there. Once again, time to grab 'em before they're discontinued.

It's nice to dig back into the research and hunting for deals - this is gonna be fun!

In the Zenith thread...users are about 50/50 positive/negative with the 0.5 Plexus coils...

There are few...(if any)...flooding/gurgling complaints with the 1.6 (my favorite) and 0.8 coils...due to the way the tank closes OFF their juice intake holes when it's opened for filling...

I do find it floods if I have it laying on its side for a while. Otherwise it’s clear

I won an innokin kroma kit and it came with the .5 coil installed. It flooded and I ended up giving the kit to a friend since I didn’t like the color. The zenith tank I bought flooded with the .5 coil also and both were standing up the whole time. The 1.6 coil is working great. Now I need to watch for a sale to get more coils.

Kanger wholesale (lightfire) has them about the cheapest. Mt Baker (when they have the bulk discount option), or Direct Vapor would be the other two places I use for better $$

That VG would've been perfectly fine, even stored at room temp. At room temps... I've had ancient 8+ year old VG and it was perfectly fine. OTOH, the PG bought about the same time was off-the-charts nasty - like a fumey gasoline type smell.

But I definitely wouldn't waste any freezer space for plain PG/VG, especially not for VG.

A while ago I ordered 6 1-gallon amber glass jugs for nic base. For cases where it starts looking like things are heading for problems. I have to admit I fear it's starting to look like that with H.R. 293 and the FDA-ANTZ marriage forming out of that phony propaganda hearing.

True - I read a paper done by one of the largest VG mfgs. in the country (forget who?), and they explained that the 2 year date is kind of arbitrary, and on the packages only because it's required to have a date - that useful life in normal storage conditions is much longer. I wouldn't necessarily toss it because of the date, unless it looked, smelled, or tasted off. But then again, it is pretty cheap!

I emptied my first liter of nicotine. I feel this strange urge to buy two more because LIKE if this ECIG thing keeps up I am going to live into my 90s apparently.

I want to wait til after the "move" but then I wonder... IDK. I don't want to transport more nic in the heat of the summer but then SHIPPING it is just as bad. IDK.

It will be higher test. I have not left the husband much room in the freezer especially now we MAy be like, going to the wilds of like, the border town of AZ.. Not Nogales, happily that one's horrid. The other one. LOL.

My first reaction after emptying my first nic liter (4 8-oz bottles): Got another liter. :w00t:
This, despite already having a remaining 5 liters in the freezer.

I once calculated that at 6 liters I had maybe about 22-30 years (I forget), which should bring me into my late 70's. With my current lower rate, that might be like into my 80's/90's.

Still, I'm ready for 6 more gallons in VG, albeit outside a freezer. Yes, I plan to make sure I live into my 180's that way.

Nothing makes people, including both kids and adults, want something more - than banning it. I know, shocker there..
