I've been looking for CE2/Fluxo tanks, thanks for linking one. Ordered, I'll let you know how the newer Fluxo's work as I have a lot of them in my stash. :)

You could always make a G-tank mod. :)

(I've changed the design slightly since that video, using most of the tube going all the way down the bottle with "windows" cut out of either side from about 2-3mm from the bottom of the tube to halfway up, or just below the CE2 cup, to allow better liquid usage, since it'll use all of the liquid in the tank now. I'll do an update video on it soon.)

You update the video and I'll be your guinea pig. :D

Will do. I might be able to get something done this afternoon at some point. Most of the procedure is the the same, it's mainly just the tube that's changed. I also added a tiny fill hole, but that's totally optional.

If it means not having to screw with the seal cap, then the fill hole is needed. :)

Yeah, I don't have to remove the O-ring to fill anymore. That also allows me to fill a bit more because liquid doesn't travel up the tube higher than the rest of the tank. (Probably not an issue with all-PG liquids, but I mix 70/30 so viscosity is higher which creates enough surface tension for the liquid to rise up the tube higher than the surrounding liquid in the tank, which means it's "full" sooner than it should be. The fill hole helps eliminate this, although larger windows would too, but I wanted to strike a balance between sturdiness and liquid access.)

Ok... So I have gotta ask. I've been using CE2's for nearly a year and even ordered my first ones from GV back in Dec last year. So far I've not found anything better for flavor, vapor and ease of cleaning. And I know all the tricks that you have to do to these things to make them work correctly. The new tubes are great but what the hell is going on with the coils and wicks? I can not get these things to work worth a chit. I have tried all the tricks but I can not get them to wick. ALL of these latest ones (2.6-2.8 XL's with smoke tubes) taste burnt from the get go. I had one freshly opened that the wick just fell off at the coil before I even used it or dry burned it. All the others tend to start breaking the wicks whenever I try to dry burn them after only a few hours after opening them because they gunk up so quickly. With some of these new carto's I can clearly see a winding or two of the coils not even touching the wick. I have a feeling this is whats wrong. I know it's not my juice because I have been vaping the same 70/30 juice 100% of the time for the last 6 months now.

I know these are just disposable units but come on! Give me at least a couple days! Hell... I'd be happy with one day right about now. I think like the older shoe laced wick CE2's better as I could get them to last a good 3 weeks.

Please know that I'm not here dissing GV. I know if I asked them to help me out on the DOA's they would. As long as it's not big $$ I take my losses within the vaping arena as I know it's all in development stage and it's a risk we always have to take. And I don't expect GV to inspect every item that comes in from overseas. This problem is in the manufacturing not the sales.

Is anyone else having these problems with the newer E2's? Did I miss a special tweaking detail that I need to do with these new E2's? I don't mind fiddling if it means I can get good flavor again and make these thing last a little longer.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just ...... and want a good vape.

I've been wondering about the wicks also. The old leaky units never had a problem wicking but I have to tip these units every two hits or I get burnt taste. This happens if I'm vaping 50/50 or 70/30 or 80/20. Can you ask the supplier to look into a better wicking material?

No worries, I totally get where you're coming from. I've always been a big clearo fan, even though they don't wick that well...

There are several laws of physics that prevent the juice from traveling up the wicks, so I just do it myself. Every time I take a hit, I hold my piece horizontally to do so. The juice is always in contact with the uppermost part of the wick, and always feeds to the coil. I know that if I were to depend on the wicks 'pulling' the juice up to the coil, I would be disappointed. Even though I have to feed the coil myself using this method, I still prefer this design to just about everything else I've tried. The only thing that I've found that has been comparable, has been Boge LRs in a carto tank. But they are just to bulky to carry around everywhere.

Oh yeah? I was afraid to go that high with a 3.7...

I was a big Boge LR fan, so my instinct is to go as low as possible in ohms... Top coils do break the rules though...

With higher ohms do you get less vape, but better flavor?
I was using the same logic coming from the 1.5 boge world. It seems you need to toss that out the window when switching to the CE2. 2.4~2.6 didn’t work well for me but 2.6~2.8 do the trick! :vapor:

Higher ohm fluxos wont give more flavor, depending on the juice. If you have a delicate juice that seems to "break down" at higher voltages, less volts, or a higher ohm fluxo, would work.

As far as wicking is concerned, my last 2 boxes all had wicking issues. I started taking them apart right out of the box and I have noticed the wicks are smashed flat against the cup, and some of them are even sheared off at the cup a bit before I can even use them. My previous boxes were all fine... not one bad unit. Out of my last 2 boxes, I've gotten 2 fluxo's that worked properly, ie not having to tip after every puff to make sure there's juice on the coil. If I don't, dry hits every time. This is even after filling them and letting them sit overnight to make sure the wicks were saturated. I've gone back to dual coil cartomizers because the fluxomizers just aren't working for me like this. I really hope they get this sorted out soon... I love the fluxomizers, but I won't keep buying them if they keep coming out like this. Maybe I just got lucky with my first few boxes, who knows.

You got it coming T <3

Replace lower seal with #6 Oring and a good shove to a 5ml BD oral syringe
Insert rubber V1 cup, fits snugly.
For the tip, old tip to a mega carto cone (IGO) and a condom inverted/folder onto half of itself end cut.

This is exactly what I'm seeing. Well... That plus some of the windings on the coil are not even close the the wick. I don't use E2's on anything but ego batts. I learned a long time ago that my Provari doesn't like E2's so I mainly drip with it. I've always used 2.4-2.6 E2's on my ego's but they have been out of stock for so long I just went ahead and bought these 2.6-2.8's. Anything higher on my ego batts and I can't get any flavor with my juice.

I'm a little more hard headed than you and I can't walk away from these things. I've experienced how good they can be when they're working properly and over the past year I've tried EVERYTHING out there and nothing is better than a perfectly tuned E2 on a little ego batt. But that's becoming harder and harder to achieve lately. I guess I can just hope like hell I just got a bad batch of them.

Anyone tried the latest batch of 2.4-2.6 clearo's that they just got in a couple of weeks ago? Do they have these same issues?

For what it's worth I got some of the first batch of 2.6-2.8s and, other than modding them (seal and donut mods) I've had absolutely no trouble with them at all. They've worked great in their own tube and even better in the CE2 G-Tank mod I made. (Don't know why they work better in the tank, but I can punch it up to 5V and it performs amazingly with no burnt taste or anything; I can't go much past 4-4.2V with the original tubes.)

It's not that I'm giving up. I do have another box on the way. The issue with the wicking is quite clear: the wicks are not intact where they make contact with the cup. It's easy to pull a brand new fluxo out of the tube and see if the wick is intact or not... no fiddling will make this work, short of cutting the wick off and doing the pyramid tea bag mod to get the juice to the coil. If my next box is the same, I will take a break from the fluxomizers until I hear this issue has been addressed... I'm not going to keep throwing 12 dollars a pop for a box of fluxomizers that do not perform properly. I did submit a ticket on their website, and got no response... I can only assume they are well aware of this issue and have bigger things to worry about. I'm not giving up on gotvapes I think they are doing wonderful things! I know they can't be at the factory to personally inspect every unit produced. But I don't seem to be the only person experiencing this, and taking a break from the fluxomizers until they sort this out is probably my next step.
