How do you define "advanced vaping"?

Once you've walked the hallowed path of the advanced vaper, you are forever tarred by it's brush. There's no going back I'm afraid.

I once thought advanced vaping was owning a Provari V2 with adjustable voltage. After that, the advancement was variable wattage. Later, it was any vape that included an LED display. Then even later, it was anything that had an LCD display. Eventually, high tech was a mod with temperature control.

It won't end. It will just advance perpetually in small increments. :)

Maybe we could try to figure out what the opposite of advanced vaping is?
That would be my husband who uses several dolphin mods and knows how to turn it on and fill it. He hands it to me when it starts tasting off and needs a new coil. I have happily taken on what I call vape maintenance on his mods, keeping them all nice and clean (and spending lots of cash stocking up on the atopak coils in case they stop making them). He’s not interested in learning any more about more “advanced” vaping techniques, which is fine with me. I’m just happy he’s not smoking!

I'll admit that I didn't read the thread past page one, so some of this may be repetitive, but for me, I guess if you build your own atomizers, have a thorough understanding of Ohm's Law, have as much or more knowledge than the clerk at the vape store, and own more than 15 little blue screwdrivers, you might just be an advanced vaper. Bonus points for making your own juice.

Not all in rotation ... more like all are in various orbits around me ... some are pretty much in permanent meo-stationary[sic] orbits, some are parked in nearby lagrangian orbits, and some are more like long period comets and may be currently out in the Ort Vape Cloud (but they'll pass by again, someday). Just like real near earth space, my local vape-space is pretty crowded. Yes, there is also vape-space junk, and yes, there have been some near collisions when new devices are launched ... vape-space exploration is not without risk ... but at least it's not rocket science (therefore, not really advanced).

Have too many sub-orbital dilemmas myself.

Good luck. :D

Oh heck IDK. Some people are super advanced at coils. they post pics and I am like, "gulp." LOL.

Some people test their flavors so exhaustively I'm like.... Wow. I mean I do to single flavors to an extent but if there is a 10 page discussion on v1 vs v2 vs Shishka lemon, I am like, gulp.

I consider myself a middle of the road vaper. We all are kinda. I mean yeah you can buy your Juul pods at the gas station every morning and that requires little effort.

But. you are vaping? There is always more to learn. If you desire.

Give that man a cuddly toy! I do believe you identified the true mark of an advanced vapeur.

I'm SO glad we worked this one out!!!

Next up, when @Baditude has the time & interest, "Professional Vapers". ;)

Risking redundancy with a post from an unrelated thread (that many of you are also part of):

No, No, No - isa da wrong musica!

The really advanced vaper chucks the silly wee blue screwdrivers out, uses a real man size pozidrive and pinches one of his wife's crochet hooks to roll his coils on and neither asks her if he can borrrow one nor checks what size it is!

Really advanced vapers also only buy RDAs with big gnurly slotted screws that at a pinch we can undo and do up with our teeth.

And who needs a voltometer thingie to check if the coils are ok anyway - we all know if you spit on it when you fire it up before wicking it with some garden string and it crackles you're good to go!

Advanced vaping is when the stockpile of shiny has grown big enough you feel you have to pretend they're all in your rotation.

    Good luck. :)

I'm officially an Advanced Vaper, and so are all the members in the shiny thread  ;)

It also depends on ones audience. To the gal I vape with at work, she thinks I’m advanced at vaping because of diy, battery knowledge and because I use several different mods. She comes to me for troubleshooting vaping issues. However, compared to many of the fine folks here on ECF, I’m nowhere near their level of experience/knowledge and do not feel advanced at all!:D
