Just thought I'd drop in and see your new place. So, how do you like it in the lounge?

Oh, Diana, you were just doing a little dance on the table. Nothing to worry about. The youtube video is going viral. But, really, no worries.

Yeah, this place is nice. How did you get the bar? We just have a coffee urn with fiber bars. Oh, well.

oooh, Blues, you are in the wrong part of the lounge! Hang here with us! We're the heavy partiers!

Congrats to your son and your wallet!

Yup, he attends a private university that, even with scholarships, is waaay expensive. The very well known company he is going to work for pays their interns very well. My son just finished his sophomore year of studying Environmental Safety and Occupational Health. It is a major rich in job opportunities. (Thank god, his tuition has been kicking my ....!)

Yah, our son just completed his junior year of high school so we are now in the process of visiting colleges. I just gulp in amazement when I see colleges costs today. "Back in my day", I earned enough from my summer jobs to pay for most of my college costs. You sure can't do that now.

Yes, I was trying to explain to my son that "back in my day" when my parents helped me pay for my college education, it cost a MUCH smaller percentage of their income. My roommate paid for college while working. Good luck to your son!! Start applying for scholarships now!

Yah, we're looking at scholarships too.

One more thing, Remember when we couldn't stand it when our parents started a sentence with "back in my day"? Eeeaahh, we've become our parents!

I say it all the time!!! I teach high school, so I have plenty of opportunities! It comes out of my mouth before I even realize I've said it.

Oh crap, i just realized that I'm posting in the Middle-Aged People 35-54 thread instead of the Older People 55 and Up thread (I'm 57). See what you all have to look forward to, lol. And don't even think about finding your car keys, just have several sets made.

Anyways, it was a good visit and take care dlsw.

Oh don't you worry about that. I definitely will as I have a long history of stumbling into and around places I don't belong, lol. Many years ago, a co-worker and I decided to walk into show-home in a new housing development during our lunch break. As we were commenting on how unusual it was for a show-home to have such tacky furniture, a woman walked out with a surprised look in her eyes and said "may I help you"? We said no. we're just looking around during lunch break and continued our self-guided tour. She then became really alarmed and informed us that we were on private property! Fortunately, we were both clean cut looking and wearing suits so when we explained that we were accountants on a roving lunch break, she let us out without calling the police, lol.

So don't worry, I'm sure I'll be back here from time to time. But to be on the safe side, you may wish to keep your front door locked!

Sadly, everybody does.

But you can fight it! If you say "back in THE day", your kids will think you're old school, rather than just old. At least that's what I like to think.

sigh. I may be old, but I'm still young enough to be sadly deluded.

hey is it just me or do the younger kids seem to care a whole lot about the voltage ratings and so on with their equipment because i really dont as long as it does what i need it to and congrats to your son and your pocket

Yeah, me either, except I have a couple 5v passthroughs and 5 is actually too high for me. I don't care if it's variable voltage as long as I don't smoke.
