Man, I have got to give you credit on this one. I went from refilling 10-15 times in a day down to maybe 4 or 5. This mod is great. Now, we have to find deeper carts to use. Goal: One refill per day!

Thank you very much for your idea. It works perfectly!!!

Glad to help.. as far as bigger carts not a whole lot we can do about it unless you start cutting a glueing things together.. However there are new carts for the 4081 that have a larger resivor do to the old ones only holding about 8 drops of juice.. I think we will start to see larger carts pretty soon and probly a whole lot more other goodies soon.. I almost garantee in a year or 2 that our 510's 801's 901's etc.. will be a joke.. the technolgy is really just starting to really take off... :thumb:

somewhere out there......
This is a great Idea ... I am a dripper but Im getting tired of dripping all the time......... anyway can anyone tell me how they prevent the filling to grab a hold of the coil inside and sticking. I starting getting burt taste because of it. This is one of the main reason why I went to dripping so its not because of this spring mod... I just want to know what I can do to prevent this from happening. I tried tea bags forget it doesn't work for me. I tried rolling up the filler still no prevail... is there any thing I could use that will work... im thinking of try sponges but i dont know yet.... THis spring idea works now i just need a filler to go on top of the spring.

Twist the spring to make the coils bigger I only have like 3 to 4 coils that way it wont stick... if you are getting a burnt taste you may be getting polly on the attys coil.. when you put your filler in singe the top with a lighter to quickly do away with them stray fibers..

This mod is working great for me! Been using it for about 2 weeks now! I get an occasional leak, but thats my fault for dripping too much liquid lol.

I usually go through 2 (sometimes 3) carts a day and put about 12-14 drops in. Works perfect because the 510 PCC carries two carts. I get great hits all the way through with the menthol flavor I've been using, and I have yet to run out; even if I go straight to the bar right after work.

I just refill at the end of the night, and I'm good to go in the morning.

Also, my roomate who also has a 510 has went from direct dripping to this.

This is a very easy mod and I highly recommended it.

Just an FYI, my first e-cig, the revolver elite (M401) did not work with this mod, just a bunch of juice in the mouth haha!

This mod works quite well on my 510.:D

With a standard cart with polyfill, I was always topping off, 2 or 3 drops at a time.
Now my carts give good hits until they're empty.

I ended up cutting a spring exactly in half (makes two), inserting it lengthwise, and experimented a bit with the size of the blue foam piece so it wicks well but doesn't flood.

Works great on round carts and flat-tips.

Thanks Scottyballs!

Sorry it is late (or early I should say) and Im too tired to look at 8 pages to catch up on this thread.

But, does anyone know if any vendors have commercialized this mod or one like it? If this was engineered with just the right materials and maybe even built into the atomizer it could make a "cartless" e cig a reality.

I imaging that one could just use a screw or rubber stop that could just be removed to refill an e-cig even easier instead of taking out and replacing the poly even though this is very easy anyway.
