Thanks for the quick shipping!! I've been using the io6 over the past few days and I'm loving it, except at the start.

I followed the instructions and loaded 4 drops, let the io6 sit and then vaped. It was awful tasting, so I thought I would add a few more drops, got some good taste on 1 draw and then awful again.

Added a couple of more drops and flooded. Blew the atty out and started over again. This happened over a full day but now on my 3rd day the atty is working GREAT!! Awesome flavor, Great vapor and no flooding.

I wish there were a way to break these in easily but now it's all good. To those out there that are having problems initially, hang in there, it gets better. This is one GREAT atty. Thanks and Happy New Year :)

aww Mojitto!
The black delrin is totally fine. You see, the io6 is much like. 306 but slightly bigger so it is kind of difficult to produce them in a different material. I did find this link, maybe we can track down who is producing these? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/where-can-i-get/185940-metal-306-drip-tip.html

Also Jason from goodsensevapor.com has been making an io6 DCA for quite sometime. Maybe we can give a little nudge? I think if we get him more requests, the production can go faster.

Are you saying that one of the tops in the expansion kit fit the IO6?

As far as I know of, no. A complete DCA will be required.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in stating my question.

What I meant is that if I purchased the basic complete DCA (which is described as suitable to use with a MA306 attty) and also purchased the expansion kit - one of the pieces included in the expansion kit would permit me to use an IO6 atty.

No, not as of now. Even the largest top piece in the current expansion kit will not fit the io6. In fact, after just having tried it, the io6 will probably require a larger bottom piece; while it does fit inside the current one, the side tolerances may be too close to allow a larger top piece to fit inside when the whole contraption is assembled.

hey 5C,
is there anything about the Universal on that page that could be configured for the i06?
I'm looking for a sleeve that will fit over the i06 barrel, configured somehow, to use a 510/901 d/t such as the one you show, or nay favorite d/t.

btw, i put an o ring on the i06 below the lip of the Pyrex i06 d/t.... works fine.

GO for the Pyrex from Theecig.com... i'm not having any complaints with mine,

...and btw, the i06 atomizer just seems to get better and better. I've had mine going about a week.
It took about a few days to get just right.

Well, even though Ike advises against it, I decided to try http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html on the above mentioned horrible tasting atty. I figured since I couldn't stand to use it anyhow I had nothing to lose.

During the burnout I could smell the taste I was complaining about. This made me optimistic. I hoped I was burning off the taste I didnt want. Alas, I popped it. Oops.

So I grabbed my 1.8 ohm atty that had the same taste but at a more tolerable level and very carefully burnt it out. The burnt metal taste is gone! This is now my favorite atty.

Perhaps this "break in" period you all speak of is simply the amount of time it takes to burn off whatever it is that's giving this taste?

A nice, quick hit and great flavor!

YMMV of course, but keep it in mind. I'll post back if the atty dies tonight or tomorrow.

Outside of the original "soapy" taste (drip tip related) these are amazing and probably one of the best if not the best atty created at IKV. No funky taste here on the 3 I have used (broke one testing the 7mm).
Yeah the only one that died early was the one that I ripped apart for the video I made. Should have just had Isaac confirm the amount of wick, rofl.
