Epic Journey
When I get mine in the mail I will be sure to test one with the small ammounts of wicking fibers left in there, and then another atomizer without the wicking fibers to see if there is any real difference in the quality of the vape. Gosh I cant wait!!

I like that very much. I really want to hear opinions of how this atty performs as it's built without any modifications foremost. And I'm curious of the performance difference after it's modified. Looking forward to hearing about your observations.

So, this new Io6 does have some wick... it has a chunk that lives inside the coils... and a little tiny bit of stuff outside the coils, but I pulled that.

I am not getting all of this talk about wicking.

Initial fill is only 4 drops. Break in is very minimal as there is no wick that needs to be properly wet before using. All you need to do is get the liquids in circulation.

Interesting... Are those numbers after deducting the lead resistance?

i'm using the provari to test it, so i'm assuming it already deducts the lead resistance.

so i started using the 3.5ohm and it dropped to 3.4.. i'm loving the draw, and i'm still feeling the TH is lighter than the 306's. my throat is cached at the moment though, goin out for a bit i'll report back in the evening

Next time use a proper DMM to check resistance. You know what they say wrt to assume eh!

Please buy 10 someplace else and please provide us with the results. I am .... too. Your point here is what? Ya wanna shill do it someplace else. Most atties are sold +/- 0.1-0.2 Ohms.

switched.. i don't know what the .... your problem is, but this is the 2nd time you pretty much got at me for assuming i'm even stated anything negative. all i did was provided metered results? everyone who vapes should know they come at a +/- 0.2 off the ohm's stated. should read what i wrote prior to that post which has been nothing but positive. get the .... off me

Perhaps it is the way you are trying to convey your thoughts/message?

Whoa whoa, let's slow down. Iken didn't leave yet!
I don't know how accurate a Provari is as mine has been lying dormant for the past few weeks, but I'm sure it's close. Let's not argue or bring any hostility here. Here's a fun fact: In the 2 years we been in business on ECF there have been NO deleted threads or posts here in all the sub-forum. Well there's 1 in the Help center but I'm sure it was a Moderators doing as I usually catch it. Mostly all sub forums have 100 to 500+ deletions. I do not plan on having to find a post necessary to delete so please don't make it happen. This goes to no one directly but to all. I like to run a tight ship here where truths can be set free, but hostility and violence is something that is not tolerable.

It's fine Player, please come to me with an issue. Email, PM, Phone, Skype. I'm always nearly available. I know these things pretty well and Nothing is ever perfect.

Can you please modify your post before this results into a fight. If you have something to say to someone. Please use the "Outside" Thread and not this one.

Well I got home from work tonight and found my i06's waiting in the mailbox.First thing I did was drill out the drip tip with a 11/32 bit and the drops don't hang in there anymore.I have been using the HV for about 2 hours now and the flavor is getting better.I'm limited to about 8 watts with my BuzzPro voltage maxed out but it's plenty.I get a warm flavorful hit with clouds of vapor and I gotta say i'm diggin them.I think i'm gonna try the LR now so I can see how they are when pushed beyond 8 watts.Later

I am not getting all of this talk about wicking.
When you get a normal atty, lets say 510, you may or may not notice that there is a small amount of fibers that are outside of the coil and tucked into the bridge, there is also a small wick that the coil itself is wrapped around. When an atomizer is advertised as wickless then it only means that there is no outer wick(the portion that is tucked in the bridge. I myself have never ever seen an atomizer that had a coil without wick inside of it. I could be wrong but I am quite certain that if people believe otherwise then they just cant see it or are mistaken. Not trying to argue, I am just stating my experience. Wickless means no wick in the bridge.

I know that this has already been determined but my Io6 had a couple strands outside the coil, just looks like the wick that the coil was wrapped around was left a little long but I just pushed it aside and vaped away.

My experience with the Io6, I got mine yesterday afternoon. It took most of last night to get it broke in but by the end of the night it was vaping great. I tried to use it on my glv supermini first but the new style connector on the glv's have a nipple that sticks out and goes into the bottom hole of an atty so the draw was incredibly tight, since the glv has an adjustable center post I may try to move it down and try again. Anyways as soon as I screwed it on another mod the draw was instantly cured. I am really enjoying the draw, the draw is close to best that I have had in an atomizer. During the break in period the throat hit was lacking, so much so that I thought I may have gotten a HV one, but keep in mind this is a new atty that I have never dealt with before so maybe I was just over doing it with the liquid. Now the I have gotten the hang of using it, the throat hit is very satisfying for my vaping style, I actually think that it might be a bit much for some people. For those wondering, mine metered at 1.9. The flavor for me is somewhere between a 306 and a 510 but I have hopes that it may blossom some more with more use. Overall I am pretty impressed with this atty, I think that a lot of people are gonna be converted to the Io6 once word gets around. Also, I have not had any leaking issues at all, so far so good. The drip tip is actually has an outer diameter that is thicker than a standard 510 which may or may not cause issues with use on certain mods, One I can think of would be the adjustable draw cap on a ggts. The drip hole is a bit smaller then I am used to but I have not had hang ups with the liquid I am using. Remember, these are my thoughts and my thoughts/opinions only and I do not claim to be an expert.

So, I wanted to check to see if the precise tight tolerances would cause problems with the io6, mostly I was checking to see if the diameter of the drip tip would prohibit the atty from screwing down completely, it does screw all the way down but it seems like it seals off what little airflow that the precise has so the draw is extremely tight on it, not sure if a slot on the positive post on the atty would be a solution but its a thought.
