1950's TV. 3 channels only. Maybe for an hr. a local station televises a teens' dance featuring new music and dance moves. Serious business and time to dress in Sunday best. Also, time for a teen to be nervous about his/her "groove moves" showing up on TV when the whole school and neighborhood could be watching! Gad, did I worry about my crinolines dipping below my skirt hem! :)

Hey porchers...

Geez....for the first time, i'm posting before reading! Have to go to the pre-op "seminar" in a little while, where i learn about the surgery, etc., get to ask questions...i only have seven to ask....

Been kinda sickly for days , no energy or strength, especially for running my mouth as i tend to do in the HO's, so i've been laying low. Haven't even been able to drink my normal two pots a day of coffee....

So when i get back i'll prolly sleep some more:)

damn messed up weather....

oh...but...I now have Netflix and ROKU!!!! thanks to Chey, who spent the whole weekend with me, along with Coco.

Hi Choochoo...are you new here? Welcome! Love your name!

See y'all later i hope...

Good Morning, Peoples! I know I've been scarce, but every time I work overtime, I'm always playing catch up. Haven't been sleeping worth a POOP!!

Yesterday I got to visit a little bit with my son and his little family. They're ripping and running all over the place trying to see everybody for the brief amount of time they are down here. It's never enough time for me, but oh well.......I take what I can get.

My granddaughters are a trip. I should have taken pictures, but they don't stay still long enough for that, and I just enjoyed them in the moment. The older girl is 6 and the baby just turned 3. They are SO funny. After dinner we went to the park and wore them out. The little one is freaking fearless. I guess I won't see them again for another two years.

Hi, oldbroad. :) No, not new just mainly quiet. Other people have more interesting things to say and they crack me up. Not near as quick witted. Ha! Wishing you well and hope to see you back here soon!

Rotowoman, I have the same problem as you in that my one and only grandchild lives so far away that I only get to see her every couple of yrs. or so. Getting pictures aren't the same. Hugs are way better in person! :)

really glad to see ya talkin more! But sorry they live so far away. my dil has a daughter from a previous marriage, and I live with them, but still don't see much of my granddaughter. She and her mom are often at the dil's folks house when my son is working. He works 11 am til midnight to 2 am, so she stays at her folks a lot except for his days off

Publlk service message...

For those who want netflix and hulu and latest movies and every tv show ever broadcast... why pay for it?

Kodi is free. Anything ever broadcasted anywhere (world wide), anytime is at yer fingertips. Watched the new color is orange or whatever it is and house of cards. Neither one impressed me. But alf, combat, mork and mindy and others brought back some memories.

Just google Kodi. It'z a free program. But... a real bear to set up. It comes with nothing but you add what you want or need. But tons of youtube vids on how to and what to with it.

Yay-y-y-y, you do get to see her during the weekend.......which is really a good time to visit 'cause she's happy that it's the weekend! :)
if you meant me, unless my son is off on the weekends, they're usually at her other grandma's house. But I do get to see her a lot more than I did before I lived here :)

Couple weaks. As I said... a real bear to set up. Sometimes hair pulling involved. But once you get the hang of it and what to install and what not to... mind blowing. Anything ever broadcast including live tv. Worldwide.
Ok... critic hat on. Insurgent... fair. London has fallen... not bad. H8full eight... thumbz down. 3 hours of sheer boredom. I think it was supposed to be a dark comedy that wasn't very comical.
