Another one bites the dust. At 57. Kid had talent.

He had more than talent, imo. A genius in the music industry.....so sad. His plane made an emergency landing on the 15th because he was ill. Was taken to the hospital, released...someone missed something....

Hey @garyoa1, did you notice that Aljazeera America has shut down its cable and satellite operations? Well anyway, it has.
Yeah, read about that a while ago. I think something about not getting nuff viewers. Never saw it so won't miss it. :)

There's someone 'sides me on the porch who watched it on occasion; thought that someone was you. I watch BBC America quite a bit and appreciate the better world coverage that it gives compared to the US based news-type channels. Plus, a lot fewer commercials!

I'm a lot less informed about Prince than you, but I'm watching Brian Williams' coverage on MSNBC. Williams is a lot more familiar with Prince than Blitzer is. I watch MSNBC a lot but it doesn't even really claim to be a news station any more. It bills itself as The Place For Politics 2016.

I'll learn more about Prince in the next few days than I ever knew before. RIP Prince!
WOW! I REALLY have to get out more! I had no idea..............
I'm not sure I regard him as highly as some but he was a talent of sorts. Certainly a self made man(?).
I doubt there's many who can see a red corvette and not have that song start running through their head ;).

    Rest In Peace (Symbol)/Prince..........

I think he musta lived in a different world than I do. I have looked and looked but have never seen a Raspberry Beret in a secondhand store, but he made it sound like they were common in such stores.

In gardening news, it's still in the very low 20's here in the mornings so hardening the vegetable starts off over night will have to wait another week or so. Everything but the Asparagus has sprouted and is looking good. We got a little concerned that we hadn't seen the Asparagus yet and consulted the internet last night. We had heard it was hard to grow and weren't expecting to harvest any this year (The seed package states , "About 3 YEARS from seed to cultivation. Then it should come back for as many as 10 years or more.") but we had no idea that it is THAT persnickety of a plant!!! As much as a month just to germinate and about a 40 to 60 % success rate at that. Then as much as a 20% loss from transplant shock (with each transplanting, started pot to maturing pot and maturing pot to outdoor establishment.) Once you've overcome those hurtles and you've planted them deep enough but not TOO DEEP and waited to the end of the season to "harvest", you'll only end up with a few stalks at best, from each plant the first time around. HOLY COW!!!
Looks like we're going to have to get a whole bunch more "Jiffy Pots" and get the whole pack of seeds going!!! No wonder it's so expensive (up here anyway) we may have more luck compressing water!

I must admit I've never looked for a raspberry beret anywhere, let alone in a secondhand store. I don't know whether to congratulate you or offer my sympathies. :thumb:

No, I just always wanted to find one for my wife, because according to Prince if she wore one, then if it was warm she wouldn't wear much more.:)

I have a question. Less than 2 years ago, purchased a couple of mech mods and therefore, batteries. I have 3 Efest 2000mah 18650s- 2 button top and one flat. I purchased them at Madvapes and 101vape. They were great batteries. When I bought my first regulated mod, I also purchased Samsung 25rs and that's what I use. I put the Efests away.

The Efest batteries are still good. They hold a charge just fine. I don't like wasting things, so I thought about buying an inexpensive flashlight from fasttech that uses them. Is there anything I need to know about the flashlights and safety? It may seem like I stupid question, but, I don't want to make a stupid mistake.

Mmmmm! There ya GO! "You Can Leave Your Hat On!" (Another good song....)

@DebiK - There are NO STUPID Questions ;). The electronics side of things isn't one of my long suits so what I have to say would probably be a stupid answer though. That being said, if the batteries are "supposed to" work in the flashlight (in other words, that's what the add says it uses) my guess would be that you're going to be okay.
I do hope someone more qualified than myself will answer this definitively though.

That's pretty much what I figured, but as a vaper, I am conditioned to think of battery safety always. I figure flashlights are what they are. But, as a vaper, I have to ask.

Whoa! That first pic threw me there for a second! I thought, "OMG! The boat sank!" Then I realized I was looking at the motor from the Starboard side! TOO FUNNY!!!
GREAT PICS of a WONDERFUL TIME!!! Thanks MikE3!!!
"Won't You Let Me Take You On A Sea Cruise?" (Sticking with the "great song theme" ;))
