I started out the pilot hitch right today. I walked in, looked at the lead pilot and said, 'IT LIVES!". His reply, "My first day back on hitch and you're already starting ''''ish. Hey, it's my job. Somebody has to do it!!

Pshaw!! It's just Tuesday for me. It's only the second day of a seven day work hitch. We've already got one grounded and I'll be unloading a transmission for a407 Bell Helicopter tonight, along with other various assorted materials that I ordered yesterday and didn't get last night.

I've been going to supper every night with my mechanics. It's been open season on Debra. Tonight I was in the middle of mechanics And pilots. Good thing I dont' take them seriously and have good sense of humor. I was getting it from all sides. I just can't take these guys anywhere!!
Isn't it great to work with mostly folks you like. Didn't say job you liked but, seems kind of obvious you like your folk (mostly).

Don't think about the cost of replacing it - you won't be replacing it. Think about getting a smaller one, but only if you see a reason that you'll be using it.
Janet, It's a REALLY good saw. A "Cabinet" saw is designed for cuts with such precision that they are used to build fine furniture and are of such quality that when treated right and maintained properly they become heirlooms and can be passed down several generations. I definately plan on using it in the future so II think I am going to hang on to it. If I did sell it I would definately want to replace it at some point and that would be VERY expensive. It's big, takes up a lot of room and I was thinking of replacing it with something more portable but, have decided against it.

I finally realized what falls off the smiley! Laugh My *** Off!
Until your comment on it, I had always thought the smiley lost his teeth and put them back in. Finally looked at it more closely.

Also if you don't like the accordion you obviously haven't heard good "Zidaco" (SIC) music. Love it.
LOVE zydeco.....love me some bluegrass too. I really like most music, but those are a couple of favorites.

Haven't been on the porch much in the last two days. Nice to catch up finally and nice to see Uncle Willie back, rants, muses, music, and all.

The biggest problem I have with selling the saw is that it's probably never going to be replaced. It was $900 when I bought it 25 years ago and it would be over $2000 to replace it with a comparable saw now.

Oh no! Not the saw ... that would be painful to give up.

Shwew! Now you've regained your senses.

You get so much pleasure from that work, Matt. You should find a way to keep your equipmentt. Rent a workroom somewhere. I know what it's like to be robbed of something you enjoy so much. It leaves a big crater full of all your creativity & nothing to do with it. It's very painful & it would be a shame to lose a true craftsman. You have a gift. There is no reason to give it up. Find a place to do the work you love so much!

Losing my 'like' of Apple products.

1. I update my Mac laptop to the current OSX - Yosemite. I thought by now it would be as stable as it's going to get because the new OSX - El Capitan will be release soon. I could even get the install to complete properly with out kicking and shoving it to completion.

2. Updated my iPad and iPhone to the new IOS 9. Now my Contacts and Calendar entries won't sink between my laptop and phone. It works OK between the iPad and laptop though. A bit of googling turns up they had this issues months and months ago during the beta cycle of IOS 9. So they knew about it and still couldn't get it right on the actual release.

So that's were I've spent a bunch of my time the last couple-few days.
