Well, I finally got down to DMV and got my license reinstated today. I haven't driven since Dec 29 2012. I still have no vehicle, though. That situation might be remedied by this evening,
wahooooo!!! that's fantastic. Good luck car shoppin!

but my furniture and the "star" of the room will fit nicely.
all 3 of em!!!! hehehe ok.......so yeah I know you mean the macrame, just make sure my stars also fit nicely where I can see em!!! lol seriously, so happy you like it!! Hate the thought of you having to move again, but it will be so nice to be in a peaceful place. Hope you find it's a great community too. Just not so much that it keeps ya out of the h/o lol Just hope the steps won't be too much, but hopefully you'll have no need of the hip surgery.

havent we discussed this hit and run stuff :D
lol jup!

Your sun porch is called a car port down in dese parts. Is dat a sunway up front leading to your 'porch'?
dontknow.gif
darlin, that sun porch was up the steps behind the car port lol

To play with other cars!
mine always got stuck on the slide.

Tell me again why they call these the "golden" years.

cuz ya need to own a gold mine to afford all the healthcare!!

Sorry I haven't been participating much. Had something bothering me that has got me in such a hole I don't want to see anyone talk to anyone go anywhere even open the curtains.
((((((((((Legs))))))))) I'm so sorry sweetie! I do understand needing to hidey hole away, but I sure hope you'll come talk to us. We can't fix anything, but we all really care about you, and hopefully we can help you feel better!!! Many prayers going up for you!

Good news on that front tho. I mad her really mad & she's been getting out & going places with her friends again, which is great for her physically & mentally.
oh that's good!!

Mike and Janet, glad that y'all won't be getting hit too bad from the 'cane. Hope everyone else is doing well!!

Found this posted in the Reo Lounge, thought y'all would get a kick out of it!!

The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you get WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.

Take two good friends to the nearest liquor store and purchase one or all of these three antidotes - Really Urgent Medicine (RUM), Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) or Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

I moved in back in June when he had his heart attack. Which I still hate to think of what could have happened if I had not. I was so lucky to be with him when he had his stroke. It's nice going home. I've lost weight, doctor had to cut my BP meds down, I'm sleeping, and my nerves are the best they have been in many years. So yeah as far as I am concerned. . . it's permanent.

Thank you and yes, he is pretty happy to be home. I'm just happy to be in my pj's all day. Back to fixing 3 wonderful meals a day and of course, he's already been eating his blueberry cobbler and ice cream.
Dad has his first outpatient therapy in the morning. Can you believe they made it so I had to be there by 7:30. grrrr They darn sure better not expect me to do these exercises with him at that time of day.
Kay, I love the place and hope it all goes through. I lived in a mobile home before I got married and loved it. OMgosh, I loved the sound of the rain back then. Not so much now.

The sun came out today but my body did not get the weather update cause it is still thinks it is raining. grrrr Tell me again why they call these the "golden" years.

Just so happy for you that your dad is doing so well and YOU are doing so well...YAY!!!!!

Sorry I haven't been participating much. Had something bothering me that has got me in such a hole I don't want to see anyone talk to anyone go anywhere even open the curtains. Just can't get it out of my head and it's driving me nuts. Will try to be better but don't know how to do that. Not medical really or financial or marital just something I have done to myself over a long period of time with the help of my doctors.

Hope things get better soon! You know your porch family is here for you. Please know that you have been an inspiration to us all and we miss you!!! {{{hugs & prayers}}}

{{{{{Patrick}}}}} Well, I sure can't "like" this post. Could it be some of the meds you're taking? That would seem logical. Chemical imbalances can sure make the world look gloomy. Hang in there, make an effort to be aware of the good things in your life - it's so easy for the storm clouds to block them out. You are such a joy and inspiration to this thread. I love reading your posts, even the technical ones where I don't understand what you're talking about!! I'll be sending prayers and good thoughts your way until the sun shines for you again.

Kay, the place looks very nice! Hope today brings you good news. I was wondering about the steps too, but am thinking that the surgery could help a lot with that. If you can handle those steps now, it should be even better when your hip is fixed. Got my fingers crossed for you!!

A mixed blessing to be driving again; I'd learned to navigate the universe quite well without a vehicle.

Very high mileage, 184K, but amazingly clean for its age. 2003 Subaru Forester; no unpleasant surprises at all on my drive home from Raleigh; drives great, very comfortable, everything that I've thought to check works well. Knock on wood. First time I've driven and first time I've had a working vehicle in 33 months.
