Large, beautiful and clear! Thank you! I hope you are nowhere near the path of hurricane Patricia. I worked at the Ren Faire outside Houston in Plantersville (sp?) for several years. One year, everything was blown away in a tornado! It blew me away!!!
I'm pretty much right in the path. Follow the link, scroll down to the interactive map. Hover over the map, & scroll to zoom in a bit. Now, left click & hold to move the map a little to your right & center Houston in the map. You'll have to zoom in enough to show the smaller towns around Houston. Alvin is directly south of Houston. As the crow flies, 15 miles from Galveston, & 15 from Houston, although if it weren't for city limit signs, no one would know where one stops & the others begin.

kenna are you getting a lot of rain now? We're still under flash flood warning, but we've had very little rain so far. Dunno what's coming though
No rain yet, it's still west of us between Houston & Brenham. But that link I gave is the Houston station & has all the local alerts on it. We're under a flash flood alert, too. It doesn't take much here, we're only about 45' above sealevel.

Walking the hound last winter. Must of been an inch of ice on the street and had a thin coat of snow. One step once I got to the middle and I was on my ..... Bashed the back of my noggin pretty good. All better now I think.

The mountains in Mexico are supposed to slow it down, & break up the base, but the top is miles high so may cause the bottom to regroup. If it does, it.s gonna be a dirty storm.
