This isn't really about vaping, so I'm posting it here.
It's a little lesson on how useful it can be to test proof of concept using a 3D printer.

I was looking at my vapestand this weekend, and wanted to see if there was a way to expand it. Going up would mean that I couldn't easily accomidate the taller items in the back.
So I decided to see if I could make a hanger for the individual units.
I made a test hanger... no luck. made a change and then it worked correctly.
Here is a close-up of the changes I made
vapestandhanger.jpg

Basically, I wanted to make a lip that would catch at the top.

this test worked
image_8.jpeg

took me 10 min to print each test.

The result. As you can see, the new hangers are strong enough to hold a PV

and a close-up

Yeah, it's silly of me to be proud of something so basic, but it kept my mind occupied without getting me into trouble this past weekend.

But wouldn't it save space to just throw everything into a shoe box?

RA Dr this morning. Gotta find out about approval for Rituxan therapy & what else I can do. Steroid injection by 11am. Look out, world. Have I said how much I hate steroids?
Oh, no! The steroids aren't going to make you become adamant about your opinions, are they?

Just kidding around with both of you of course. Very nice display, Ken, and best of luck with your treatment, Kenna.

Kanthal is FeCrAl. It's about 70% iron, 25% chromium and 5% aluminum.
Well that sort of explains why this stuff works sort of like Kanthal 52%nickel 48%iron. The nickel gives it the TC capabilities and the iron makes it so it dry burns. It sure made a difference dry burning it while it was spaced and then compressing. My second coil is working just like the first so far. I'm almost up to my 400F 15J setting I have on the other one and tastes great.

So glad to hear you are ok. I have snagged my toe getting out of my Jeep and came close to falling too many times. I am just a klutz, no other excuse.
Me too on the klutz!

I am famous for straightening up too soon and cracking my head on the hatchback door off the car.

Now thats a face only a mother could love. Frank is probably turning over in his grave. I made it my desktop. Inspiration

If you have the time, take a browse to Rolling Stone . com and read an excerpt from the piece they did on Keith a while back .. I don't think they put the whole thing on-line, but there is a good chunk of it .. right, wrong or indifferent, Keith is inspirational and not all what he's cultivated as his public persona over the years .. and, his new album is some great stuff ..

This is my first experience using the manual TCR adjustment and it works right on the TCR number it gives in Steam Engine for Nifethal52 which they make but not in this gauge. I think this might catch on. I talked to a guy last night who has been using the same coils for over a month. Thats right up my alley especially since it only takes about 10 min to make.

I spent most of my day today outside. About 4 weeks ago, I thought it would be my last day to cut grass. Well, with all the rain we've had in the last month, Mother Nature decided otherwise. This morning at 10 I was out there and the doggone lawnmower wouldn't start for anything under the sun. I put it away and said, "To hell with it." But....but, it kept nagging at me.

I went out and tried to remove the spark plug, but didn't have the proper tools. I got dressed again, and was getting ready to head to town to buy tools until I called my BIL. Bless his crazy heart........he came right over.........took the plug out and the air filter and got me going. I got the yard cut in no time, but the weed eater and I then had the dance from hell. I eventually got it all done......since we're supposed to have this fat storm system coming through late tomorrow.

I'm bone whipped now. My body is screaming for the bed, and I'm quite ready to oblige. Good night all!!

Yeah, we have that same storm heading this way .. and it's a cold drizzle outside this AM .. this morning, I feel like I fell out of the pain tree and hit every branch .. but you know what .. ?? We power on thru, don't we .. ?? Even at my age, my personal motto is "I'll outwork any 20 year old, it's just gonna take me longer" ..

Ken what 3D modeling software are you using to do the designs? I have been working in Blender a ton lately and Strata Studio years before that (not sure that one exists anymore).

Also for the one looking for help with hard work. Have you looked into how much it would cost to hire a helper from Manpower for a few hours? A friend hired me 2 workers when I had to make a short notice interstate move years ago and it was a godsend with loading the U-haul. I doubt it was all that expensive given her tight budget.

If you Redbox, today only, code AMERICA nabs you a free rental .. can't say if you must use it on-line only or if it can be used at the box itself .. I use the app for rentals .. and, "Southpaw" or "San Andreas" are worthwhile .. the CGI in "San Andreas" is worth watching for that alone ..
