Wow how did y'all luck out?? It's 37 right now in my part of Texas, and that has warmed up from the overnight low. Glad y'all aren't freezin yur keester off though!

oh wow that's interesting. Would that Krill oil kind do the same do ya know? I don't have a DX of dry eyes, but my eyes go back and forth between weeping like crazy and then being super dry.

Having dry eyes, my eye Dr. told me to start taking fish oil...no more dry eyes!

A couple days after a physical exam this year, a medical office assistant called me and left a message. She said "your bloodwork was all good, but your LDL is on the high side so the doctor wants you to take official daily."

I listened to that message repeatedly but couldn't figure out what "official" meant, and even Googled "official" to see if it was some kind of supplement I hadn't heard of. But Google was not my friend in this case and offered no help. So, I called the doctor's office to find out what "official" was. It turns out the message was actually saying "a fish oil daily."

Venting. Found out at 7:30 tonight that the family Thanksgiving was today at my sister's. She told Mom, who promptly forgot, & neither of them had told me. All I was told was to bring the broccoli & rice casserole & Mom was to bring 2 pies. I, of course, assumed Thanksgiving Day. Making it worse is that one of her stepdaughter's invited a friend with 2 small children. So glad she was included. We were sent leftovers which we will microwave & eat on Thursday.
So, not happy with the sister now for waiting till 7:30 to see why we weren't there.

Well that's really going to test 'sisterly love'.

I'm azz-backwards, always read the posts first..duh..

You all been chatty in the last couple of days!

In a little bit i have to do some errands around town...my GD and her pup Coco are sleeping in my bed and I'll be using her car...which is amazing as this is only the second time she's done that...and I'm the ONLY person that has ever driven it!

I'm having her, my two other GD's plus a husband...one of the GD's..NOT ME!..I'm going to make a baked ham with all the fixin's and i might even make a pumpkin pie totally immersed in home-made whipped cream.

Those young women will be dieting for days

As with most US holidays the real meaning of thanksgiving has been lost by most. It is now just Gluttony Day. And a gathering of family which is nice.

You know there is one alternative to consider for a Thanksgiving Dinner - places like Publix offer a complete meal for 6 - 8 people for about $50. We did it one year when we were doing so much cooking for other stuff that we got burned out on cooking for ourselves - actually a tasty meal and easy to prepare - just pick it up - transfer to your dinner ware and dive in...
