I'm thinkin' comfy. :)

Prolly the hot easier to drop 30 degrees than raise 54.

Well where we are headed on our trip the temperature will range from a low of 70 to a high of 85 through the rest of the winter. It is the one part that is truly enjoyable about the trip. Right now I am sitting with a space heater to keep my one little corner of the house comfy. Soon I will be comfy all day - enjoying a cool ocean breeze in the morning and cool shaded trees when the heat of the day comes around...

OH, I wanna vape that! Umm, ifn Iffy hain't ate it already...

Urrrp... sorry, just in time to be too late...

I had to replace the cutoff valve for the toilet in the master bath today.
...took me less than a hour. :)

Once upon a time a generation ago, our eldest daughter dated an handsome racist (unbeknownst to me early on) plumber. Since he felt da need to impress da ol' man, he installed SO valves on all our inlets on my dime, free labor.

As a result of my 'education' in my second career, ball valves rock!

How's your birthday going Iphster? :)

Matt, will catch y'all up later, gotta create a meal fer supper time...

Matt, mebbe u kin splain to me WHY THE .... plumbers insist on installing that idiotic chrome shutoff that looks cute until you need it? Of course it only looks cute if you get down on your hands n kneez to see it.

A happy birthday to Iffy!

And I think those toilet shutoff valves only come in chrome. Or plastic if you live in manufactured housing.

Ok - how many have read all 63,895 posts?

If I missed any posts, I'll blame it on my 'puter...

Almost did, but...

I got a different kind of shiny I am putting my money towards - it is called the shining smiles of about 80 kids that I am going to be seeing in a few weeks...

Phil, thanx fer da reminder! Will be in touch..

You know the answer to that one already Mike... :p Yep, 2 months with no WiFi, no TV, no Radio, no running water, no hot showers (unless you count boiling water and then using a scoop), but also no traffic, no smog, no stress, no no no... :D

Edit: I gotta take that back - there is running water - you run down to the mountain spring and run it back in buckets...

Back in the 'day' ... a true computer geek could read the holes in a punched card w/o needing the printing on top of the card

I punched the cards.......later I programmed in Fortran and Cobol.......years later I was a Sr. Systems Engineer at a casino in town. First "home" computer was TRS-80, then an Amiga then a progression using M$ Windows. So absolutely yes, I can read the punches in a card...no problem.
