I see a lot of people come here but hardly anyone talks anymore. What's up?
I'm just not feeling great so kinda lurking. On my way to the RA Dr for the usual bloodwork. Have the appt with the Cardiologist Thursday. I just want to sleep.

Well, I am still alive, the wife is all better and home looking for work. I have been promoted to assistant manager at my patio furniture store, still dodging the dark rider, doggies are good, the mini dachshund got savaged by a big dog, but is doing well.
Eldest son got his eagle scout the other day. My dad has about 6 months left, but then I was given 5 years, that was 7 years ago so who knows.
Got a birthday in a few days, will be 46, feel like 66.
Hopefully I'll have the will to stick around this time.
Kind hard sometimes to socialize, even electronically.

It is good to see both of you. I know what you mean, this forum is the limit of my socializing. I have a couple PS4 games I play to beat the boredom. I hope to see ya'll around.
I'm the same way. Other than the pet sitting. And I usually don't see the owners. They are gone when I get there, & I leave before they get back.

They are large enough that you can't swallow them with anything else except a large gulp of whatever you have. 1,500 mg glucosamine. It doesn't say how much chondroitin, but probably quite a bit less. I had a PT evaluation a few days ago, and she was especially interested in the function of my left hip. Not bothering me much. My right thumb is much better, too.
glad your thumb is much better!

Thanks Deb, but it's not that easy and I know of no video demonstrating it. I obviously can't make one. The offer is very generous of you, however, and I truly appreciate it.
gotchya. Really hope you can find someone who can help

Well you did a good job, I enjoyed the story!

JUP , totally agree

Hubby was read the riot act this morning and told to just take it easy and sit on your behind until tests are done.
Him not happy!
I bet he's not. You might have to sit in his lap! ;)

@Debadoo , saw this grooming setup and thought of you. Even the fan and grooming arm are purple!

that's awesome! Love it!

Good! Don't you just envy those people who are always happy? Someday, we'll probably discover that some people are born with some kind of happiness gene. That, or they're just nuts.
or they really aren't so happy. We had a dolphin trainer that always seemed super happy, but with all we knew of that was going on in her life, we might should have clued in. She committed suicide. There's a lot of times I've tried to cover also, outwardly happy, not a care in the world.....inwardly, quite the opposite.

The ongoing debacle of Chanel and PODS
wow, so hope this get resolved to your satisfaction. Might consider contacting an attorney. Most will do an initial consultation for free, sometimes that's all you need, just to find out what your rights are. I had a situation years ago, attny told me to send them a certified letter citing breach of contract, and deceptive trade practices act, they got their hearts right in a hurry after that cuz they knew I meant business.

R.I.P. Fats...
so sad!

WOW new hearing aids are amazing. I can hear all kinds of stuff I couldn’t before. Had kind of a scare yesterday after I took that antibiotic I’ve been coughing stuff up and did it yesterday and it was a mouthful of blood with what looked like clotted stuff in it I’d post a pic of the Kleenex but don’t know how on my phone it was nasty to say the least got a chest exray and never heard anything. Quit taking them and it has pretty much cleared up. Don’t know what it was but scared the crap out of me.
So glad the hearing aids are great! Really concerning about the other stuff. What the doc who is your friend wrote to you is 100% Keep that and read it often. I just hate you have so many health issues to deal with, but I know if you'll trust God, He'll walk through them with you.

gotchya. Really hope you can find someone who can help
Actually, last week in Atlanta I was talking to a woman I have known for years, she breeds Tervs, and she offered to help. She knows the braid and does a beautiful job. The best part? She is fast and eager for work. We are paying her, and she is happy for the extra "do while watching TV" work and pocket change. Love it!!!! She is staying with us a few nights during the next Ocala show in 2 weeks and I am going to show her some of the other braiding she can help with if she wants.

Thumb is much better. The wound is almost 100% healed over with good, healthy, SENSITIVE!!! skin. I am doing little therapy exercises to help. Tapping the sensitive part on different textures, soft to start, getting progressively harder. Fast, short taps for about a minute or so, or until you feel something. I will get a tingle in the area, not painful, just tingly. So I stop, massage a little, and do it again later in the day. Textures -rubbing on different textures. Massage - massage the scar tissue to help it keep from getting too stiff. Bending the joint - it will never bend fully, but might bend more as I stretch tendons and strengthen muscles. I am only using a bandage when doing certain things (like working with the dogs!) for protection, otherwise it is open to the world.

Still going to be while before I will be in shape to any real production, but I can sew, and have been able to, and many of our products require sewing. My friend is a huge help!!! Glad we got to talking!

Well I heard from my doctor friend and he told me that he thought I would be fine getting a biopsy and in worst case scenariio it is small and could be removed with 3 small incisions. So that's sort of better. I'm glad I wrote to him last night. It's always nice to have a doctor surgeon friend who is honest about things. He also thinks I beat myself up too much on my weight and I'm doing fine. I'm holding steady at 138. Just keep doing what I'm doing. I just wish he would have stayed here in Spokane. We have become friends over the years, if only through the miracle of internet. I would have definately kept him for my doctor here. I think I told you he is working as an ER doc 10 days a month in Norfolk, VA. He said he likes that type of work but he always answers my calls. I called him one day, I have his cell number and he seemed a little distracted talking to others and he said he would call me back. When he did he apologized but he was working on a younger guy with a gunshot wound. I guess he likes that sort of thing and it happens a lot in Norfolk, but it's a hell of a commute from Rapid City S.Dak to VA every month.

Now...THIS post made me very happy for you Pat!!!! I am SO glad that you have a professional for a friend!!!!

So glad you've found some help j are seeing improvement in your thumb! Those stretching exercises will work magic. The last three fingers on my right hand automaticly curl into a fist when I relax my hand, & wonct fully open flat without a nudge. Joint damage causes the opening part. The closing part is also joint damage because tendons don't line up like they should. So to keep from having a permenant half fist I have to lay my hand flat & hold it there to keep those tendons stretched. I have a resting hand splintn but I have to take it off to use the hand. I do things like stick that open hand under my leg when I'm sitting & can use my left hand if I do something. If I need that hand I just pull it out from under my leg instead of having to unstrap the splint. That & message really goes a long way toward keeping that hand more operable.

He'll walk through them with you.
Yep. This doc at the VA seems bound and determined to kill me. The only thing she does well is referrals. Everytime I go in there she is always trying to get me worked up and usually when I see the Oncologist he says if it was him he would leave them alone, the nodule in question. It is growing but didn't light up on the PET scan. Waiting to hear from him now she wants me to go in and have a prostate exam which showed slightly enlarged. She is going to find cancer if it kills me. I hate seeing her but she puts in the right referrals, going to see the occupational therapist to get my power chair approved and then they will fix it, needs new batteries and get me a lift for my car hopefully. Thats what he said, would sure make it better to go to Costco or WalMart, I could zip thru and honk my horn. As it is I can't even get to the department I want without stopping 3 times to catch my breath. Besides my legs feel like they are going to give out. I'm great for maybe 100 yds max then it's nip and tuck. So I can walk to docs appts most of the time occasionally will have to stop for a minute but any more then that is too much.
