Oh, Boy! I have a pre op appointment next week, with surgery planned for Dec. 18. If you get there ahead of me, would you let me know how it works out.
My inclination is to go for distance and use glasses for close up work. That will probably mean wearing glasses whenever I'm not driving, but no way can I afford the type IOC that is somewhat focusable.
When I get closer to the date, would it be okay if I contact you - on the off chance you get the surgery before I do?
It's not like it was when we were kids, Nermal. Wife has had both eyes done, on separate appointments. Office visit only, no blindfolds and hospital stay any more.
First one, I think she blinked a few times after, and then started enjoying better vision. Second one, she did have a "scratchy" feeling for a few days, then that cleared up and no problems since.
Seems to be about as rough as a flu shot, even though the mere thought of them cutting on the eye is petty spooky.
