Thank y'all for your well wishes and support!
You cannot believe the envy you have evoked.
Snoopy be soooo proud...Geordi is now CH Bijou Luisant Kontinuing Mission, CA, TKN, CGC!!
Isn't it nice when you see another vaper. I've seen a few but the opportunity to talk shop was not there......I have raised a mod in salute to another vaper and they have responded the same.Another fun thought - the man who judged the Bred by Exhibitor Herding Group is a vaper! We went to watch his judging "style" before the group and before the class started he was vaping away! He put his mod away while judging and I didn't get a chance to share vaping kudos, but I gained respect for the man right there. He was very kind with the dogs and I did compliment him on that. Kind judges don't get enough recognition and I always try to seek them out and thank them. Even if they are not judging my dog.

Another wonderful thing happened today - Geordi is now CH Bijou Luisant Kontinuing Mission, CA, TKN, CGC!! Yep, he won a 3 point major to finish (he needed 3 points)!!! Sincere thanks to his breeder for showing him to all his points. She gets special recognition for finishing a dog in Bred by Exhibitor classes. Today he won Best Bred by in breed and went on to win a Bred by Exhibitor Herding Group 3!! Shows don't always offer Bred by groups, and since he is no longer in the regular classes with earning his championship, this was his last hurrah in Bred by. It was a special day for both his breeder and me. I can show him now!
As we were leaving the show site it started pouring rain, so the timing was perfect!
professional pics to come....

That sounds like our kind of food......will be making it in the next couple of days as I have chicken soup left but will freeze the rest of it, and I have pork chops defrosted for tonight.Actually, after the dinner I made him last night he thinks he's being rewarded! I'm not worried though. His turn will be coming...
The dinner was Bacon, Cream Cheese, Cheddar Chicken. Wow! So easy and delicious! I made the bacon ahead of time so that helped with the prep. Put 2 pounded boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the pan that you cooked the bacon in (after pouring off most of the bacon grease). Sprinkle on a little salt and pepper. Dot some sliced cream cheese over the chicken, sprinkle on the crumbled bacon and top it all with about a cup of grated cheddar cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. If you like the cheese crispy on top you can stick it under the broiler for a minute or 2 or I just sprinkled some paprika on it. DELICIOUS! Will definitely be making this again.
Meanwhile, the eye has been coming along just fine except today it's bothering me. Might just be the dry eye problem. I can still feel the stitch in there somewhat, but that's going away. The vision is good, but things look whiter to me. Guess I'm used to seeing the world in sepia. The procedure itself is much easier than I thought, it's just a pain remembering to do all these drops! I'm glad I only have 2 eyes.

Things do seem brighter and more sharp. That feeling of something in the eye is what I felt also, but that dissipates as time goes on. Actually, the vision actually gets more concise and clearer as time goes by, too!
I didn't like the drop routine either, but knew it was temporary and that helped......
BTW, how was that chicken soup you made in the Instant Pot? I was tempted awhile back getting one, but I have so much cookware, that I'd be pressed for space! As it is now, we use our walk in pantry for storage.......I couldn't reconcile that with 'the man'....![]()
Here you go.@Bea-FL Was it you who posted the suet recipe for your birds? I need it and can't find it. This pre-packaged stuff is crumbly so the squirrels can dig out big chunks and take off with it. I need something softer. The birds seem to love it, but so do the squirrels and that's ok, sort-of. I have a log hanging from a chain with holes drilled into it to hold the suet. Those squirrels are always on it so Mike stapled a plastic plate on the bottom. It's helped some, but they still sometimes manage to leap up onto it. I'd like to have more food on hand to keep the holes filled.
