For my experience having been on them long term, then coming off them.....I did recognize the hyperalgesic pain that stopped when I went off them, but it was nothing compared to the pain that I was taking them for. I had to go off them when they went schedule II Pain clinic has me back on them now and I can at least function a little better with them. That being said.......if you can go without them that's much better than being on them.
Your right Deb, I don't think I'll ever be completely off.

I treated myself to some food from D'atargnan. FedEx Overnight brought me a box 5 hours ago. In a couple of hours I'll be able to cross "try Wagyu beef" off my bucket list... I got the Wagyu ground beef patties... expensive, yes, but not compared to the Wagyu steaks! I put a pair of the 8-oz patties in the fridge to thaw as soon as I opened the box.

Also got some duck breasts, truffle butter, and a lamb shoulder. The truffle butter is absolutely awesome. I'm excited! Reserved seating only.
Dang Bells the way you can eat, You should weigh in at 300+. Envious

Remember that he is well over six feet tall.
I know and he must have a good metabolism too. I think its great. If I could've eaten like that which I did and not wear size 46 jeans I would've never considered the operation. It all sounds so good. I wasn't criticizing I think it's great. My gdaughter and gsoninlaw are both like that except she is 5 months pregnant now. I'd love it drink beer eat great tasting food. I was never like that except when I was in the Army. Hey I can vape again. Still MTL but my civilian doc found the right antibiotic and got rid of the infection and the radiation just like she said got rid of the little tumor on my lung and that apparently was causing the bleeding. I really like those Prime clones also, they work great with TC. But haven't got the final results yet. Plus I also have several others that are small enough less then 6cm that they don't worry about yet. Popcorn lung from Froggeys Fog????

Well I'll leave you guys alone for a while again going to be going through some more bad days and I don't think well then or most of the other time either. Talk to you all later. I am going to delete most of these posts because it's just me feeling so good that I beat another step that was supposed to be one of the hardest and I have 1 or 2 more to go. I did it with a little help from Ginny and another special friend.

Oh Iffy, my friend, it's sad to read your post. Prayers and positive thoughts for your bride and you. The love you have for each other is beyond words ... I can feel it just the way you talk and post about the situation. Remember to take care of yourself too, so you can be all you can be to take care of your bride. We're still here and any help / support we can provide we'll sure do, even if it's just lending you and ear to bend, to 'let it out'.

@Iffy ... I just posted this pic, elsewhere, but I'll stick it here to ... maybe it'll bring a grin to your face for a bit tonight. I find it difficult not to smile when I look at it. Such joy, even the dog is smiling.

I don't know what your and Pattie's ailments are and you may already have thought about it…but can Social Services help by getting you an in-home care-giver to come by on a regular basis to help with the harder tasks? This is one that a friend's parents use.

Thanks Deb! Keep inn mind my little van and this one are not runnin around the country vehicles. We have a big Ford E350 that we do that in. This is for local driving. I didn't socialize Geordi as much as I would have liked because I would drive somewhere and break down. Not fun. So now I can get out and about! FREEDOM!!!!
oh ok, I coulda sworn you were doin shows in a van that used to break down sometimes. But glad you have better wheels anyhow!

my civilian doc found the right antibiotic and got rid of the infection and the radiation just like she said got rid of the little tumor on my lung and that apparently was causing the bleeding.

(((((((((((bubba)))))))))) luv you darlin! We've talked about this some, and you know you can call me anytime day or night if ya wanna talk. Hugs to Patty. I know you've had her much longer than you once thought you might, but it still breaks my heart to hear of her continuing to deteriorate.
Kewl beans on the puter!
