Mine had that gritty feel for about a month. I gather it's a lot less for most people

Fer moi, had a lil' grit fer 'bout three/four days. I'm still amazed with the procedure and sight improvements!

He looks old beyond his year :thumb:.

He certainly does in that picture, but I think the angle of the picture makes his legs look so big. He was starting to fall asleep so we had to hoof it back to the house to get him in bed.

Aww, poor little guy! Hope he's turned up soon. How are Miles & Huck?

Miles is doing great. He is now potty trained!! It only took a weekend - easy when they're ready and he's been ready for awhile. Hux is doing great except he's refusing to talk yet. Arrrgh! That's the fun part when you can finally talk with them. So far EVERYTHING is "Dat". He's been checked out and is fine. Watch this, he'll finally start and we won't be able to shut him up!!

Heh. I, too, opened both my eyes this morning, but at 11AM I am going in for my first cataract surgery. Wish me luck and that I will be able to open both eyes a few days from now with improved vision in my right eye. (Then it's wait a couple of weeks and get the left eye done.)

Still feeling fairly gritty. Can't tell what the vision will be like yet:

Wow, that's a great eye shield. Mine was an almost flat piece of plastic held on by tape that I had to peel off each morning. Ugh! My doc uses a stitch that felt like she left a needle in my eye! It got better each day though. Now that both eyes are done my eyesight is amazing. Yesterday I realized that I couldn't drive with my glasses on! Except for reading I truly don't need the glasses. The world looks so sharp and bright and clear and now I know that my back splash tiles in the kitchen are blue/gray - not green!! (Having this done must really throw off an artist.) It's definitely worth the hassle of having this done.

I'd have to say that the grittiness in those few days post surgery was the worst of it all and, it wasn't that bad
It's temporary, and well worth the bit of discomfort for the end results!
My husband is going in next month and I can't wait for him to experience this new vista.

Maybe they have changed the post-surgery procedures in the ten years since mine. I didn't have a shield/patch...

Shield is off (except at night); grittiness subsiding. Vision distance currently at about 10" (25 cm) but expected to lengthen to desired 15-16" (~40 cm) as the swelling of the cornea goes down. (It's actually increased by about an inch today.) So far, so good.

Spouse had both eyes done, some years back. First was 2 - 3 days of the gritty, second was, iirc, about a week. Just remember to carry the little card in your wallet in case your driver's license still says you need glasses :)
Hah! I'll still will need glasses to drive. I'm getting the inserted lenses designed to give me clear vision at 16" (40 cm). I spend 16 hours a day reading or at the computer. That's when I want to be able to see without glasses. I figure I would want glasses outdoors (sunglasses) anyway, so why not make them vision-correcting, too.

My oldest said a word or two at around a year. Then he stopped. He wouldn't speak. He just pointed.

Then we moved around his second birthday, to a neighborhood full of kids. Within a week, he was speaking in complete sentences! It's all about motivation.

Hiya hun! Great to see you. @subwaynm that's great you were able to stop vaping also. Although it's a million times better than smoking, the less stuff we put in our lungs, the better. As to selling stuff, check the classies.
click the main page of ECF then almost halfway down you'll see a buying and selling section. There will be a link for member classifieds. That stinks that it removed all your posts. If you were verified, did it remove that also? @classwife could probably find out what happened and fix it. You have to be verified to use the classifieds. How are the pups doin??

Hey Deb, yes indeed I had some help. Thank dang flu kicked my ... last fall and didn’t Vape anything since. And smoking either. Hope all is well for you and the fam. Take care. Nice to see some of the old crew. Also hope all is well with Kaz; send my best wishes and say hi to all.
Peace✌

I try to post in all my threads equally, but this one usually takes the longest to catch up, so sometimes I leave it for last then I give out before I can get to it. The last two times I got caught up here it wouldn't let me post my quotes. One time was when everyone was getting an error msg, the next time I could post a single post, but not more than that even with refreshing and restarting the computer. Will see what happens this time

Miss em both, but have at least seen Matt post a few times. Really miss Gary

Soooooooo glad they were much easier on you than you thought they'd be and that they are done now. I thought you had only 3, but saw you'd posted a 4th one. Prayers that the scan in a couple three months is clear! So sorry to hear you're losing weight again. Huge hugs for you and Ginny!

I'm with you, I chose comfort over fashion a long time ago. But with those boots, sounds like you'll be comfy and look good too!

Loved Hardees when I was a kid!

Wahooooooooo!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled to hear this!!! Have worried so much about you runnin around the country in that other van. Such a relief to know you're in a safer vehicle!!

JUP!!!! The Panthers certainly had a great season. Buncha years ago my Dolphins coulda had Cam Newton for fairly cheap, but the idjits in the front office decided he was too old and injured to be any good anymore........ how bout that now?? I'm sure he's glad they decided that though.

Chocolate covered cherries will make ya do lots of things! They are my absolute favorite flavor profile when it comes to sweets. But the only kind I like are Cella's with the 100% liquid center. I can't deal with the cream the others have. Cella's are hard to come by in the box. I did find em a few years ago at Target at Christmas time.

So very thrilled to hear this also!!! I know the road to wellness is far from over, but am so thrilled he's so much better!!

JUP! Love that show, but am fairly certain they are gonna break my heart on the next one

based on yours and dave's reviews, I looked it up. No go on Netflix, and only on Amazon with an HBO subscription. But I watched the trailer and it looked really great.

Everyone I've heard who has one loves it. Would love to have one of those or just a regular pressure cooker. They seem so much safer than the ones back in the day. I remember one of my stepmom's using hers a lot......it always sounded vicious when that rocker thingy really got goin

that is so wonderful to hear!! So many older and disabled folks need help with so many things, and there are so many kids today who really need to do a lil helping to appreciate all they have.

I'll zig zag them and tell em exactly what they can do with their french chalk! :sneaky:

First zipper I ever put in was absolutely gorgeous!! I was 13 and making a skirt. It was straight, the flaps laid down perfectly, I was beyond thrilled!!....... went to put the skirt on........found out it zipped from the top down on the inside of the skirt!

Jup.....fabric and patterns cost so much, but if I could sew, at least for the money I'd get exactly what I wanted. I'd rather be beaten than go clothes shopping.

hehehe don't tell me that. Haven't had em in a long time, but I have the same issue with Walmart's cheapo Iced Oatmeal cookies.

For my experience having been on them long term, then coming off them.....I did recognize the hyperalgesic pain that stopped when I went off them, but it was nothing compared to the pain that I was taking them for. I had to go off them when they went schedule II Pain clinic has me back on them now and I can at least function a little better with them. That being said.......if you can go without them that's much better than being on them.

oh......I had some of that at Susan's (seapeach) and it was wonderful. I was astounded at the flavor of the broccoli even that she got at whole foods. Our nearest one is about an hour from here in Austin.

Miss y'all since I'm not able to be on much anymore.

I don't have that designation on my license so no change needed. But isn't it amazing that a simple procedure can make that big a difference in your life? It'll take a month to make sure all is healed up well and then I can get new glasses for reading with clear glass on the top for distance. Until then it's safer to just wear my glasses on top of my head or I'll constantly be loosing them. Either that or one of the grandkids will be helpful and throw them in the trash. Miles did that with his Daddy's keys and he also threw his iPhone in the bucket of soapy water. I'm not taking any chances.

A few months ago I started to worry about my eyes, especially with night driving. Everything looked fuzzy. Then I read about how well VG sticks to the inside of car windows. I cleaned my car windows with some kine of green cleaner and paper towels. Suddendly, my eyes got a whole lot better at night driving.

I keep wondering if I should try to clean my windshield (maybe if I cleaned the outside, too, LOL)

Well, I think I just set a record or at least a record for me. I just had one battery and one 2.5ml tank last me into the fourth day of vaping thanks to this cold...

Started getting my taste buds back this morning and definitely had to clean the tank since the stuff in there was getting kind of discolored... Probably could of made it a full four days if not for that...

Sometimes helpful to clean the headlamps as well ;)

Welcome to the porch, LyLyV!
