More bad news. The doctor said he is afraid she is in the later stages of cancer. I twisted my knee last night and can barely walk so she went by herself to get a pet scan. I gotta get this knee to start working again.

He said that at this stage if it hasn't spread they will use radiation and chemotherapy if it has just chemo. No other alternatives. The pet scan will tell the whole story but it doesn't sound good. How long she has depends on this scan. He put her in right from the appointment for an iron infusion because her iron was low. We have an appointment on Monday and he will give us the news then. She has to have another iron infusion again on Wed. So it doesn't sound good either way.

This is a terrible time for me to hurt my knee. It doesn't hurt except to stand on it. Nothing broken I'm sure but can't hardly walk. The spot I hurt hits the prosthetic but I'm hoping will be a lot better by Monday appointment or at least it better be.

So far she is feeling ok. I think she is still in denial and it scares me when all of this finally hits her. There is no surgery at the present that would help. He said he will be able to tell us approx how long she has on Monday. Seems as tho the only good news we can hope for now is that it is localized to her chest, if you can call that good news. Or maybe it is a slow growing cancer because the test results were not back yet on the cells.

Pat, I'm so sorry to read this.
Many prayers for you guys !

@2legsshrt I wanted to thank you. Back when we were doing our trade, you gave me some small O-rings for the K5. I have had a problem with seepage on one of the K5s. Today, it really came to a point where it was no longer a small seepage. I went through my box and found the O-rings. I took the bottom off of the K5, took the old O-ring out and put a new one in. No seepage! After I replaced it I kept the old one and looked at it under my magnifier, it looked like it had been chewed on. Thanks again, buddy.

Oh Pat I'm so sorry to hear this. I agree with Diver about going with Ginny. Would crutches help?

Pat, please know your and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time for you both. Sure wish there was something I could say to make you feel better ... but i'm at a loss for words. Just hoping and praying for you both.

Well we just got back from the Pulmonologist. What a great doctor and person. He told us she has Small Cell Cancer but he is sure that she can get this in remission. He told her you go and kick the (EDITED) out of this. He said to me don't worry she is going to be one of the ones she's one tough chick. Maybe I'll be able to sleep pat 0230 tonight which is when I've been getting up. I wish more doctors were like this like the Oncologist. Then he gave her a big hug and said it was a pleasure and an honor being her doctor and made another appt for 8 months and said when I see you next you will have taken care of this.

I'm glad that he was so encouraging but I also know that the Oncologist is not. He is a real straight forward kind of guy and doesn't give any encouragement if it's not warranted. But for today it was a good thing. but she took her oxygen off for about 2 minutes to change the sprinkler and had a real bad dizzy spell and her O2 dropped to 83 so that won't happen again.
