Happy Anniversary!!
Sheesh yesterday was our 34th anniversary and neither one of us remembered. Guess you can tell our minds are not there. My Gdaughter just reminded us. Nobody else remembered either.

Happy Anniversary Pat and Ginny!

Oh, they do, but I've tried satellite internet before, with two different providers, and I'm not going to make that mistake again. It's unreliable and fidgety. 10 Mbps, or even the half of that I get from CenturyLink DSL, is FAR better than 25 Mbps satellite service.
Understandable! That's why I don't have satellite anything. Too unreliable when stormy or even cloudy.

A quick fly by to let everyone know i'm still alive. Moving is basically finished. Much organizing to do. Some stuff still missing, some important stuff. But, it has to be here.

So, on we go!
Glad your move is done! But it's so frustrating to know you have something but can"t get to it.

Yes, those. I'm not really worried yet. Not really, really. Just a little.

OMG!! Not The 'Varis.

They'll show up. They've got to!

You probably put them someplace safe, so safe even you can't find them. They'll turn up. When I'd lose something like that my mother would make me sit down, be quiet and think about where I remembered having it last and just walk back in your mind what you did with it. A lot of times she was right and it did work. I've got my own theory. If it's not where it's supposed to be then start looking in places where it shouldn't be.

Me too. We had Dish and it kept going out every time we had a thunderstorm. So we switched to cablea year ago.

No cable available where we live, so stuck with satellite (NO!!) or DSL. Not the fastest, but we can stream TV so that's what we have. We also have an antennae that can pick up Gainseville stations, so we get local news and network shows. We have Dish, but now that we have a Fire TV stick (thanks Amazon Prime day!), we are looking to get rid of Dish. Also may get a better antennae to get more air stations. Dish goes out in storms, but antennae works through most everything. Antennae is currently in the house so safe from weather.

I've never been able to complain about the satellite TV outages that occur during storms. They have always been reasonably brief outages. For me, satellite is the only available option... the fastest available DSL is too slow, and there is no cable TV available in my rural location.

Maybe the fact that there is no better option available at any price is why I can't complain. Heck, my 10 Mbps internet has only been available for around 4 years. Before that, the choices were wireless internet via the phone company, or satellite internet. My slow DSL is still faster than wireless internet, and more consistent (although not as fast) as satellite internet. Plus, satellite internet is capped, while my DSL is unlimited.

I first got a computer in 1996. For years, dial-up was all I had, and it was slow dial-up, due to the distance from the nearest hub.

I am SO grateful to live in the city and have cable internet!

I hope you're right. It still hasn't shown up.

It may end up being in a box in someone else's bedroom. The whole family except for me left town a couple of days after we moved. They'll be gone 2-3 weeks. They didn't finish unpacking before they left.

Crossing my fingers and toes.

It has to be somewhere in the apartment. It will show up eventually.

Well today is the big day. CT scan at 110. Yesterday was the first day she could sit up for a while and today she finally feels ok so this treatment took 10 days to get over. She has to go in for her next 3 days of it next Tues. We are hoping and praying that there is some good signs of the treatment helping.

Well they said they should have the results tomorrow. So lotsa prayers tonight would be appreciated.

I made my first trip to the new Costco. They put in a Super Costco. What a mess. I haven't been feeling real good for the last couple of days. Plus one of my ears when I was taking a shower a few showers ago about 2 weeks the right one seemed to get water in it and didn't come out like normal. Now it seems like my right ear has lost most of the hearing. I don't know what is up, I had the PA at the Cancer place look at it over a week ago and she said it was clean as a whistle but there was some fluid. I have tried the alcohol drops, blowing with my nose plugged like I used to do after swimming. Doing what I used to do and lean my head to that side and hit it against the palm of my hand with no success. I can crank that hearing aid way up and hear some, it doesn't hurt just plugged. So I don't know what is up with that. It's like I have an ear plug in it without the hearing aid.

Anyway they put the new Super Size Costco in and they have a double round about to get in on a 55mph highway. This place is huge. Need a GPS so you don't get lost. We looked like a real pair to draw to, me with my rubber legs and looking like Skeletor, her with her surgical mask air tank on, rubber gloves, head shaved with a stocking cap that she likes, more of a knitted hat.
But we made it. I don't think I would've ever been able to do it alone.

Pat, maybe you have fluid in the inner ear and a decongestant might help? I'd definitely check with your doc before taking anything though. Never know how it could react with your other meds. Of course you could always go to an ENT doc if it doesn't clear up in a day or 2, but that means yet another doc visit. Hopefully it will clear out soon. I've had that a few times and it's very annoying.

Continuing prayers for you and Ginny!

Well I didn't think it was possible but, we have I think Tremors 5 a cold day in hell on. Didn't think they could get any worse then the last one if you follow these but they did. The first one was kinda funny and have gone downhill since then. I'm sure the guy who plays Bert Gummer does these for extra $$. He is the only one of the original cast in any of them since #1.
