Today I realized what probably happened to my Provaris.

I noticed some other things missing too. When I noticed a certain set of drawers missing (that's way too big to miss in any box), I realized the whole mess of missing stuff probably got taken to storage instead of the apartment.

It'll be a couple of weeks before I can find out. But, I have high hopes.

Oh my, I'd have the jitters waiting that long to find out.

Tell me about it. So all we know for the next is 9 more Chemo days and do another scan. We'll find out more on Tuesday when she goes for more Chemo. As long as she can tolerate it for 9 more. Her blood counts have been holding pretty good but they get a little worse each time. I'm not sure if they get it to where the smaller ones they can't see if they can do radiation or not. He did tell us when we started there is no cure for this type of Cancer but if they can hold it at bay the more time she has. I've talked to a few people who have had the same diagnosis and they are past the 2 year point which was the max he gave her. But like they said he doesn't know for sure. Like I said we met a guy who has had 114 treatments, but it keeps coming back. I think Diver knows what I am saying. Another guy came in and his numbers were too bad to get the treatment and you could tell he was disappointed. It sure is great tho that there was significant improval. Now they know they are using the right thing for her. And you never know there is still a chance for a miracle too. And also like her pulmonologist said if someone can beat this it's her. She's a tough chick. He is an optimist and the oncologist is a pessimist. I'm going with the pulmonologist.

Her sisters numbers also showed improvement but now she has to go in and get 2 units of blood tomorrow. She's hoping she'll be able to get off the damned couch soon. Her words. I told her I need a complete change and a filter possibly lube job also.

But all in all it's a pretty happy day here. The later it got today the more worried I got that it was bad news and she didn't want to call for that reason. We finally called them. Glad we did, it was like a giant weight lifted off on both of us.

@2legsshrt, I'm not sure I mentioned this or not. One thing that we did was got Kindles and loaded them up with books from our local Metro Library. Both Nancy and I are voracious readers so using the Kindles was a lot easier than carrying books. Of course, now I have a Kindle reader app on my Samsung tablet. Being able to have the books available was also a big help waiting to see the doctor during the long waits. Check with your local library to see if they have a similar option available. I have been thinking about you and Ginny and have the two of you in my daily prayers. :nun::nun:

I'm glad you thought of that. I too am a voratious reader. Hubs carries his kindle with him to all his appoitments because we have long waits and I carry my mini ipad with kindle app.

Leggs when you call the library ask if they belong to the Overdrive. That's what the virtual library is called. It's a national organization and most of the large city libraries use it. Tons of current and older books on it. Two other online libraries worth checking out. I've gotten many books from both. In fact I volunteer proofread for the first one.

Thank you for the info. I haven't bought myself a Kindle thingy yet. So, I don't remember where I put this info. So, thanks!

There is a free Kindle app you can use on a tablet, phone, or pc.

I read a lot myself. Since I began reading via Kindle (Kindle App on iPad, although I do own an early Kindle and a Kindle Paper-White) I haven't read a physical book in a long time. I'm in the process ol replacing my physical library (around 20,000 books) with Kindle versions where they are available. I plan to keep only a few thousand "favorites" (just for sentimental reasons) and anything that is not currently available in eBook form. But for actual reading, Kindle all the way.

I find the Kindle-App version to be so much handier. I can highlight a word and look up the definition, or Google a term, or (best of all) go to a Wikipedia article to find out all about some word, place, or person mentioned in whatever book I'm reading. I would have to arrange to have an entire reference section within arm's length of everywhere that I read to have that kind of access.
