Man I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep this up. This morning Ginny went up to the bathroom and she was feeling a little weird which she didn't tell me. She got in the bathroom and blacked out for just a second and I heard a thud. I said are you ok she said no. I went up and she was laying on the floor bleeding like crazy. She fell when she blacked out hit her head on the bathtub, and if you know anything about head cuts it bled like a stuck hog. Looked like about a quarter of a cup. I freaked I wanted to call 911 but she said no just give her a minute. We got it to stop bleeding which was easy, then I helped her up. She sprained her ankle pretty bad, I got some neo sporin on it and a big bandage, was about a little over an inch. She just went into Chemo and they looked at it put a couple of steri strips on it and put a new dressing on it and thought it was good. She did her chemo like normal but now she can barely walk so I have to follow her up to the bathroom and be infront of her coming back down. She was doing a few things around here which was helping a lot so now on top of everything else I have to do what she did and watch out for her. I can't do much else she out weighs me by 30 lbs. I could just cushion her fall. I am so beat I'm about ready to collapse. I don't know what we are going to do. She has one more day then off for 36 days. The are going to let her move her next one back so I guess it's 25 days. She wants to go to her mothers Bday party 90 on the 23rd I think and she doesn't want to be sick

{{{Patrick}}} Wow, that was scary. Sounds like you did exactly the right thing though. You're right, heads bleed like crazy even if its just a little nick. The thing is, you have to calm down and know that each day may involve different problems and you have to be flexible. Just deal with one thing at a time concerning Ginny and don't worry about doing all the unimportant things. Take frequent rests as often as you can. One thing at a time. It would be helpful to have someone come each day or every other day to help or even just talk with you about your concerns. They would have helpful suggestions that maybe you haven't thought of yet.

I was going through some saved files on my ipad this morning and came upon this lovely, if sad, poem I found somewhere a while ago. I want to share it with you because we have all lost a fury friend who shared our life and whom we still miss…a lot.

"You no longer greet me, as I walk through the door.

You're not there to make me smile, to make me laugh anymore.

Life seems quiet without you, you were far more than a pet.

You were a family member, a friend, a loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal, the silence to go away.

I still listen for you, and miss you every day.

You were such a great companion, constant, loyal and true.

My heart will always wear, the pawprints left by you."

And this is my sweetie…Reggie…who left me many years ago but whose pawprints have left permanent pawprints on my heart.

Well Gdaughter found a house and they took their offer now it just has to pass the inspection. Crazy way to buy a house, sight unseen only walk thru with agent and it looked pretty nice. If everything goes ok they are going to close Oct 10th. I hope it all goes ok. 1st day on the market and it sold. For @DavidOck its in Spanaway. $290K. I'm way out of todays loop I guess. Weird to me to never see a house in person and buy it, they are selling so fast over there it is insane. Small lot 3bdrm 2 bath 1900 sq ft 3 car garage 10 years old. 20min to the base for Jacob. Nice small yard with a gas firepit and fenced in the back. His housing allowance is enough to make the payments. She is flying up to the other side on the 19th but won't have a car.

The baby just screams his head off in the car. Seems like all the babies I've known love riding in the car. The USAF is coming to pack all their stuff on the 15th and will hold it till it closes.

I am having another worry day. got up at 0300. Don't know how I'm going to get out from under the motorhome. I need to get it in and get the tires aired up before they are too low but I need Ginny to watch the rear wheel clear the in ground water meter. Trying to figure out how we are going to take enough oxygen for her to get over to the otherside. Also how to get this air machine in the car. Weighs about 55 lbs I don't know if the two of us can lift it in the back of the car plus how many bottles of O2 we need to take

She had another bout with the chest pains yesterday. Didn't call 911 this time and they went away after 30 min. She has been pretty much sleeping since Thurs. Having to use a cane because she sprained her ankle so bad on her fall. Had a shot in her tummy to hopefully bring up her HGB. She is feeling like crap again now no more chemo till the 25th next month. They are going to give her the extra week to go to her moms for her 90th. She really needs a portable unit so I'm going to look into it. Really don't have an extra $3500 laying around which is what an Innogen costs including different batteries an the capability to charge in the car and lifetime bumper to bumper warranty and immediate replacement if something happens to it. Medicare will pay for one but then they won't pay for emergency back up oxygen tanks, or the big machine for use around the house. Best to buy it yourself.

Can you believe when I got up at 0300 the temp was 42. Crazy.

The house sounds wonderful. Our dgtr and fiancé had to find a house to rent like that. They picked out a few and contacted a realtor, he flew out for the weekend and walked through the places using his phone to FaceTime. They picked one and that was that. I'd have a hard time doing that if I was actually buying a home, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Most babies fall asleep while riding in a car, but our grandson, Miles, screamed as well. You have to ignore it and eventually they get used to it and are fine. Not good on your nerves until they do though.

Why don't you ask a neighbor to help you when you move the motorhome? Or does someone have an air compressor so you could inflate the tires without having to move the whole motorhome? They could also be a help for moving the air machine into the car. I bet they'd be happy to help.

Yep that is what she has to do with Jash but she figures it will take her 7 or 8 hours to drive over here since he has to eat every 2 hours or so. He weighs 15 lbs now. The air compressor it takes a pretty beefy one to pump up those truck tires to 90 lbs. I checked out the oxygen generator and I can lift it myself. Not for very long so I think we can get it in the car ok. That's what they did with the house, the realtor took them thru the house on face time and I guess it looked pretty nice. It was only on the market 1 day. They are going to have it professionally inspected.

WaysWhen we looking for a house in Florida hubs flew down to view them with our realtor. None fit the bill…and between the flight, car rental, hotel and meals that trip cost about $1000! We simply coyld not do this again.

The next time our realtor had three houses to see we too did it through Facetime with the realtor going through the houses. When we narrowed it down to one I used Google Earth Street View and the satellite view to "drive" around the neighborhood, and the regular street view to check for stores, hospital, etc. I also had the realtor take measurements of all the rooms and hallways. So the first time we physically saw our house was when we and the moving van pulled up to the house!

Our realtor told me that it's not unusual for northerners to do this when moving to Florida.

If I could just turn back the time
To when I heard you say,
That I could be your shining prince
And all the dragons slay,

I'd build a castle on the hill
So all the world could see,
The lovely princess that I chose,
To live and die with me.

If I could just turn back the time
And start my life anew,
I'd plant some roses near the paths
That I have led you through.

There'd be no thorns to pierce your heart,
No tears to dim your eyes,
I'd leave no stones to bruise your feet,
there'd be no sad goodbyes.

But Father Time will not turn back
The hours that passed away.
I can't remove the thorns and rocks
From all those past gone days;

I cannot live my life again
But dragons I would slay,
If I could be your shining prince
For only one more day.

Don't know how I'm going to get out from under the motorhome.
I sure hope you meant that figuratively. Also, that is a wonderful poem you posted.

I hope you can find help as easily as I was able to find Alexa, with Iffy's help. She tells me jokes, the weather, and changes the channel for me. Since I'm new to Dish, I don't have many channel numbers committed to memory, but as long as I know the channel name, Alexa knows the number. I can do this with my voice remote, but it's easier to do it with Alexa. Soon, I will find out how adept she is at handling an Amazon purchase.

To be lobotomized when she tells you you bought the whole store :)
I'm sure she wouldn't do that unless I really needed one of everything. Plus, I imagine that Amazon might try to reign in her spending after they have to pay all the return shipping in addition to refunding all my money.

One thing that I am curious about, though, is to find out whether Alexa is capable of any flexibility or if she just picks the default item, which is often more expensive than other Prime listings for the identical item. I suspect she might not have enough Scottish blood to pick the most economical listing, but I won't know that until I put her to the test.

Nic wins again! We've all heard of some study that Alzheimer's disease may be slowed down with nicotine but I just found out it can be a big help for Ulcerative Colitis (UC) a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Apparently, the unmentionable substance which can work miracles for Crohn's (the other IBD) doesn't work for UC.

A friend to whom I haven't spoken in a few years was just telling me that she was diagnosed with a pretty severe case of IBD. The first thing her gastroenterologist asked her was if she had been a smoker. Turns out she had quit a few months before and that was when the trouble began. The doctor told her that that there is strong evidence that nicotine controls UC symptoms for many people. He tried her on several different medications and none worked. So then, because she didn't want to go back to smoking, she started wearing a stage 1 nic patch 26 mg nic). Within a few days all her symptoms disappeared. With the exception of a few minor flare-ups, she has been able to manage her disease with the patch for years!!!
