Venison does have a different taste and texture than ground beef. The taste is just because it's a different critter and the texture because it's a lot leaner. If you are using a forman just mix 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of bacon grease and your preferred herbs into the patty and see if that doesn't change the flavor for the better.

I appreciate the recipe suggestions for ground venison, but I am completely happy topping it with my homemade hot and sweet sauce. The only patty I've eaten so far that was not completely enjoyable was my first one, which I deliberately cooked without additional ingredients in order to experience the naked taste.
We didn't have steak very often when I was growing up. When we did, it was a modestly priced cut. The rule enforced by my dad was this: you can only put ketchup on steak AFTER you've eaten at least one decent-sized bite WITHOUT ketchup. I carry dad's thinking forward.

While other cuts of venison can be tasty plain, naked bambi burgers are better with some customizing. 
Ya made me do it. I ordered 3. If we're not here to spend each other's money then what good are we?
Technicality: if they're customised they're no longer naked. My hot and sweet sauce is really amazing. I thought I'd put too much cumin in it but after a day of steeping it settled down. Lots of horseradish too, which I love. If I had a commercial kitchen I'd make huge batches and become rich and famous. Oh, and motivation... yeah, I'd need that too. My main reason for having a library card (other than to keep their stats up at budget time) is because they have a subscription to the OED (Oxford English Dictionary - all 22 thousand-page volumes) which I can access from home (or any computer) using my library card number. Useful for when I want more than the standard dictionary entries.

Man I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep this up. This morning Ginny went up to the bathroom and she was feeling a little weird which she didn't tell me. She got in the bathroom and blacked out for just a second and I heard a thud. I said are you ok she said no. I went up and she was laying on the floor bleeding like crazy. She fell when she blacked out hit her head on the bathtub, and if you know anything about head cuts it bled like a stuck hog. Looked like about a quarter of a cup. I freaked I wanted to call 911 but she said no just give her a minute. We got it to stop bleeding which was easy, then I helped her up. She sprained her ankle pretty bad, I got some neo sporin on it and a big bandage, was about a little over an inch. She just went into Chemo and they looked at it put a couple of steri strips on it and put a new dressing on it and thought it was good. She did her chemo like normal but now she can barely walk so I have to follow her up to the bathroom and be infront of her coming back down. She was doing a few things around here which was helping a lot so now on top of everything else I have to do what she did and watch out for her. I can't do much else she out weighs me by 30 lbs. I could just cushion her fall. I am so beat I'm about ready to collapse. I don't know what we are going to do. She has one more day then off for 36 days. The are going to let her move her next one back so I guess it's 25 days. She wants to go to her mothers Bday party 90 on the 23rd I think and she doesn't want to be sick
Oh geez ... what a scare that must have been. Listen to 3mg ... see if you can get some help around the house, even if you don't qualify for full time assistance even someone completed a couple times a week for a few hours will give you a bit of a break.

Sounds like what happened to me, recently. The reply I first posted was a few days old. So, maybe I forgot to click the right button, but it just lay in my reply box, waiting for me to hit the button in a completely different thread.
