Why record anything on Netflix. You can go back & rewatch anytime. If you stop Netflix in the middle of something just go back h it will pick up where you left off.

Netflix does take things offline sometimes. Things disappear, sometimes never to be seen again.

Have any of you had involuntary movement of you hand/arms. Ginny has been getting it really bad at times. She spills her coffee on average of 3 times a week. Going to get her a Tommy Tipee Cup. It gets really bad, we both had them before but with the chemo it has gotten really bad.

Which is the worst for Ginny............the muscle twitching or the muscle weakness?
I've experienced both together and separately for different reasons.

I think the jerking is the worst for her. It is mostly in the morning for some reason, the weakness is also a problem for opening things especially. Plus now with the broken ankle and the nerve in the other leg has been giving her problems making it very difficult to get up the 7 stairs to the bathroom. Luckily the Cancer team upped her prednisone which is helping with the nerve pain, she is having to use a cane to get around..Her purse is as heavy as the oxygen bottle she has to carry. Luckily they did have 1 back type oxygen holder which is better if she wants to go into a store plus wearing a surgical mask and gloves so she doesn't pick up any infections. Right now I believe she is beyond the Nadir stage which is 7-10 days after Chemo and lasts for a week or 2 which is the time she is the most susceptible to picking up stuff. She is sitting up today but if she stands for any length of time she starts feeling sick to her stomach. She's having a heck of a time, I just hope this 3 day excursion goes well. She has 2 more 3 day chemo treatments then they will check again and see how it's doing. Don't really know where she goes from there.

First, please tell me why Ginny is carrying all that stuff. You could lend some assistance you know!

Second, why does she not have a walker? ros-rl10040a-rd[1].jpg

I use mine everywhere that I don't use my scooter. Inside the house and outside the house and room to room. It gives great balance support and has a seat that you can sit in comfortably when you run totally out of energy.

I had the muscle jerking and the weakness until my electrolytes were straightened out. In my case it was low calcium but her reason and my reason are majorly different I imagine. Yes, you need to let your Doc know about it and very, very quickly.

Get that Lady a walker. If you can afford Echos to play with I bet you can afford a walker. Even I can fold mine and put it in the back of my car.

Wow I'm watching Nascar and its in Las Vegas so who better to represent then Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton. Had to laugh it looked as if he did that he would break his face. Man he's had a lot of work on it. He almost didn't look real his face is so tight. What do they say if he had another face lift he'd have a beard.

Actually we have 2, I had 1 and the VA gave me a better one but our house is kinda tight for a walker. Especially the living room. We have 2 oversize recliners, a loveseat and a hospital bed with one of those hospital type tables by her bed. She does pretty good but she just had another one of those trembling things, this time she told me so I was right with her on the way to the bathroom. Wish she would have done that before she fell and broke her ankle, probably wouldn't have.. Don't know what are causing those exactly, I know it's from the chemo but don't know if it's from her HGB still being low. If she didn't want to go to this party so bad she would've had Labs last Tuesday. She only has those occasionally. This chemo really puts your body thru the wringer. Plus she hasn't been eating real well. She has been for the last 2 or 3 days tho. She has been getting her protein every day tho. She was drinking a lot of Gatorade but her tastes change so much its hard to keep up at times. I think we'll stop in at the cancer place and get her labs done.

I ain't carrying no woman purse. I have my limits. Actually I do carry her purse at times the O2 I can't she always wanders off in the store or stops and when I turn to talk to her people look at me like I'm talking to myself. If I had her O2 she'd get a whiplash. I think she has lead bars in that purse. I've considered getting an Innogen but just not sure if we really need it. We really don't go many places. She uses 3 liters outside but may get back down to 2 if they keep shrinking. We do check occasionally to see how she does without and it is getting better but still gets down to 88 and lower pretty fast.

She really has very few of the symptoms of Stage 4 SCLC. No cough she occasionally gets a feeling like something in her throat and can't seem to clear it.

Hey remember our little preemie? Here he is today a little over 4 months he will be here on the 23rd. She starts her next chemo on the 24th for 3 days but I think this will help. I think she gets tired of just seeing this old mug.

Awwww, he's so cute! He'll be a great distraction for Ginny.

Maybe have Ginny go through her purse and take out all the stuff she really doesn't need to have with her for a short trip to the store. We do tend to collect stuff just in case and don't really need to have most of it with us all the time. For starters get rid of all the change! I just dumped mine out today and it's amazing the difference it made.

Yep she has everything under the sun in there. She can usually find what she's looking for but not sure how, she's got a system she says

Patrick if you won't carry Ginny's bag (although I don't see why not) buy her a new one…a very small one that she really likes…and in which she can't carry much.
Tried that too but the one she liked looked just like the old one. Now I have to see why they won't renew her DL online. Tried last night and she has some kind of restriction which I don't know what it is. She didn't want to get her pic taken when she is bald plus gimping around with the ankle so today I can call and see what the problem is. She hasn't had a ticket in close to 50 years.

I get trembly when I go too long without eating. I get a blood sugar drop. Especially bad if all I've had is coffee. She can't not eat. Is she using Boost or Ensure drinks? Have you talked to the Dr about this?

With her immune system so low she may have Thrush. That will feel like a lump in your throat thst you can't swallow or clear. If so, her tongue will have a white coating. I think it's a type of yeast infection. If that's what it is they can call in a prescription for a "swish & swallow" liquid to clear it up. Plus eating a good quality yogurt with live cultures well help.

That is one handsome little boy! He looks so happy!
