why iron them? Just take them out of the dryer as soon as it stops running. They'll look just right.

Just take them out of the dryer and fold them nice - DONE!
I think the key has been found! I do the laundry and have a tendency to forget the simple things in life.
I have ironed my jeans since early in my Navy days.
As a friend once shared, "When a woman is looking for a man she should look for a person who has been in the military because he knows how to take care of his own clothes. Also, a man who has piercings as he has a knowledge of jewelry and pain. o_O

Last week I got industrious and did some chores around the house. I was taking laundry out of the dryer and I discovered I had 3 pairs of jeans that were wrinkled, really bad. I also found a pair that was hanging on the rod above the dryer. So now I had 4 pairs that were in need of ironing. Oh well, my pain level was bouncing about a 4 or slightly above on the doctor's scale. I turned on the sound system, cranked up the volume and started jamming out on the Eagles and "Hotel California". It wasn't that long and I had them all ironed and hung up in the bedroom closet. Today, I was doing another load of laundry happy that I wouldn't need to do any ironing. I turned around looking at the ironing board and there, right near the iron was another pair of jeans in need of ironing. Dang it! Oh, well. It didn't take long to iron them and hang them up. I haven't worn jeans since Spring so I'm not too worried about it. I do have a pair of bib overalls for when I am doing weed eating and edging of the yard.
No ironing here except spacial occasions. Throw them in the dryer with a damp towel h poof! No wrinkles! But get them out begore they cool off or you'll have new wrinkles!

I once had a buddy who sent his jeans out to be dry cleaned. (Rich! He showed up at school in the fall of 1962 with a brand new Studebaker Avanti.) The jeans eventually developed a sort of steely blue-gray color (as opposed to the paler, washed out color of conventionally-washed jeans).
I used to have my jeans dry cleaned. Better crease. After a awhile that crease was there forever.

Wow another 3 day cycle over. She felt great till today but she might just be tired. I know I am, I do all my shopping on those 3 days. Man Walmart is huge on a sore leg. I hate going there but some things have to be gotten there. Hoping she feels better tomorrow. Get to stay home and relax.
Most Walmarts have a free grocery pickup now. You order online, pay, set a date & pickup time, show up & they load them for you. Kroger has it, too. You can order OTC meds & toiletries also. You don't even have to get out of the car.
And use the scooters until your leg heal!

I don't care what anyone says or what it looks like to some - No Matter what store it is . . .

GIVE "ME" A SCOOTER . . .

retail-supermarket-grocery_shop-grocery_store-groceries-trolleys-cwln3968_low.jpg

Shopping made so much easier, and although right now I don't need any assistance to reach most items - a lot of people will ask if I could use help getting things off top shelves or out of cold/freezer case . . .

Even better Ya' find the right place and another person riding a "Scooter" - makes for a great race / some bumper car fun too . . .

 too funny! Makes me remember a night at work in the casino when I turned to my pit boss and asked if the drunk woman speeding and careening through the casino floor on a scooter as people jumped to avoid getting hit, could be busted for DUI...

No disrespect meant towards anyone....I'm not far away from needing a scooter myself...

could be busted for DUI...

FUNNY you should have said that . . . Well I know if the "Pit Boss" or management (or anyone really) called the police the woman could have been arrested, especially since it was a motorized vehicle . . . Matter of fact, I happen to know "Ya' can be "Busted" in some places for being intoxicated while even walking and get a "DUI" riding a bicycle in a lot of places (It happened a few times in New Hope ) . . . And on the local News around here the other night they arrested a guy for DUI while riding a golf chart back home from a bar . . . Some states (like Florida, Nevada, etc.) have state laws prohibiting people from even standing / walking and sitting in their cars while intoxicated . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

DUI bust is valid for scooter, AND bicycle, at least in Wisconsin, state of a million beers. Of course, removal of license does not apply. But the threat of injury is 100 times worse.

I have gone to the local grocery store with my scooter, and once I did that, the grocery stores speed controlled scooters are, like, MAJORLY tortoise-like. Probably because their users are likely to be less experienced with scooter-driving.

You can take a guy out of the Navy but you can't take the Navy out of the guy. Did you starch them?

Yep my Gdaughter is going to sign me up next time she is here. We're just going to pay for the plane ticket, she probably won't let us, but that kid is enough to drive anyone up the wall. Turns a 6 hour road trip into 8 hours of hell. He sleeps for about 30 minutes then screams at the top of his lungs till she can't take it anymore. They are closing on their house on Wed and the AF is delivering all their stuff on Thursday so they are going to be busy busy busy. I hope they have good neighbors. They still haven't seen the inside of the house. CRAZY to me. It appraised $7000 less then the offered so the owners lowered the price to $283,000. Works out good, being in that area his housing allowance is $1800 which will pay the payment so that's all good. He has to report for work Monday after next. Military has sure changed, he took some leave, they give him 10 days to find a place to live, already have their doctors lined up on the base. So they put the dogs in the new kennel overnight and went to Portland. They have some huge book store they have both wanted to go to. So they are taking advantage of the time. Sheesh a RT ticket on Alaska Air is only $125 so not bad and a one hour flight will definitely cut the stress. She can just use our car here and doesn't have to worry about the passes.

True story...not long after I married my ex-professor husband, I was presented with a huge 3'x3'x3' box of crumpled up, button down oxford cloth shirts...those sucker were a biatch to iron...no such thing as perma press. 100% cotton, that had to have collar and cuffs starched 'just so'. I can't remember how many days it took to get them all done and hanging....filling up most of a closet.

Took a short trip to Oregon, so that my Great-grandmother could get to hold my daughter...her great-great-grandaughter. We were gone for 5 days, and when we got home....all but a couple of the shirts were back in the dirty laundry. It was summer, and he must have been changing shirts every couple of hours. I hit the roof and told him that from there on out...his laundry was on him to take care of....and it was...;) I never again washed, dried, or ironed any item belonging to him.

Wow it got down to 25 last night. Getting pretty cool. Ginnys Birthday is the 15th. Need to get her something good. I don't know if I want to put us into a little more debt and get her a portable oxygen generator but I don't know if she would use it enough to make it worth the $3K

I'm pretty sure there were a couple of news reports of guys getting ticketed for DUI while riding home on a horse. And I do remember a bicyclist getting ticketed. Not sure what states it happened in, but I'm sure such would be the case in PA too.
