Sounds terrifying!
I was too doped up by the benadryl to care. :D Reminds me of how dependent I am on others, and how I must trust. I have been noting more allergic symptoms, so need to increase my dosage during the week. Getting deeper into my reading, benadryl is standard pre-treatment with Taxol. Evidently one of the ways it works is to empower the immune response, to get the body to start attacking those baddies. One of the complications of this treatment could be auto-immune disorders. Neuropathy is also a SE, almost a given. Given that I already have that, another concern of mine. But they are already aware of that, and are prepared to help me deal with that.

In the rare instances that the body reacts in a life-threatening way to the drug, they lower the dosage, or try something else. I prefer the side-effects to the possibility that there are baddies circulating in my system, looking for a place to call home. These cells like the brain, too. I went in for a blood draw yesterday, values were getting lower, but still ok; I have another treatment tomorrow.

Yep that is what Ginny gets I believe it is. That's what they give her the pain meds for along with higher doses of Prednisone. She got up one day last week and could barely walk. She gets so mad because she tries to pick something up and ends up dropping it, not able to open caps on things. She has a heck of a time. She gets so mad cause her hands just won't work right. Constant tingling in feet and hands eve a month after the Chemo. Are you just having 1 treatment a week?

One a week for twelve weeks, Taxol with Herceptin. Then just Herceptin for a year. It takes a long time for peripheral neuropathy to heal. Given the fact that they took her to the brink of death in a last-ditch effort to give her more time, she needs to be patient. I know gratitude seems to be a cliche in the face of such frustrations, but it is better than going into tears over it.

I wish all a blessed Christmas, and many more blessings in the New Year. Double for those who are going through painful times in their lives.

Yep they hit her with some heavy duty stuff but it was the normal for this type of Cancer. She went in for her first Cyberknife treatment today, then one on Friday and one on Monday. Then 10 radiation treatments, low dose to her brain. Then I think she may get a break. I hope so.

I asked my onco if my treatment is aggressive for what I have, and he said no that it is normal. A guy rang the bell yesterday.
