You don't have to give them different "Wake up" words (Alexa is a WakeUp word, not a name); in fact, you probably shouldn't.Thank you!! Getting ready to set up 2 of them and didn't want to fubar...![]()
Okay...question for those of you with multiple Echo/Dot 'Alexa' devices....if you have them in a separate room, do you need to give them an individual name? or...can they all just be called 'Alexa'?![]()
I am just a learner. It is a new and different world. Last night I slept from 8:00 to 4:00, then decided to take a nap at seven, and just woke up, at 10:00. That is allowable in this world.I stand corrected - I really didn't know (thus the ???). Thank you for the correct info!
I live alone....never have guests....only speak occasionally to my dog...have never been one who spends time yakking on the phone...and haven't started talking to myself....yet...Don't want to sound like Chicken Little but reliable sources say that those things listen and RECORD everything they cam hear. Used as evidence in a couple of cases.

I got a call from Patrick (2legs). At 3am this morning his time, he took a major fall in his bathroom. He broke his left hip and left shoulder.
Re da Echo Dots, ya have to dig deep to find a near verifiable instance of Echo 'tapping'.
... that my personal privacy depends entirely upon being totally uninteresting.

My conversations with myself usually start with "Damit, Kenna!" & end with "what the ****?!".Sometimes I find it the only way to have an intelligent conversation...![]()
