I've wondered if I had an Echo and a Google thingy if they might get into any conversations worth eavesdropping on.

I've wished I could call my sister's home landline h when the voicemail picks up tell Alexa to call her at work. Then let her think I'm calling her from her house.

We talked to Patrick tonight. He had to go back into the hospital on Monday with pneumonia and low sodium. He can't get on the computer so he asked that we let everyone know that he's doing ok. It's the same hospital where he had his legs amputated, not the VA hospital. He seemed to be in good spirits so that was good to hear. He gets to order from the menu what he wants when he wants it and says the food is not too bad. He promised to keep us updated so if we don't hear from him in a day or two we'll give him a call and let you know. Meanwhile some prayers and good vibes wouldn't hurt.

Thanks, @yiddleboge6!

Nice sunny(ish) day here in London - even a touch of warmth right now. I suspect it won't last, though I keep forgetting it is only March.

Anyone still have snow?

No snow and sun is shining in my part of Pennsylvania. Looks like Spring is on it's way....hope I didn't just jinx myself...

People in states to the west of me aren't so lucky...

Rescuers are having to rescue rescuers...:(

I think in Feb it almost hit 20C/70F for a few days - people were at the beach, eating ice cream! Not so much now, though.

But it does seem much more dramatic in the US. The UK has escaped lightly (so far), with no repeat of last year's nonsense. That's a really good thing - we aren't the best at coping when it hits. It's almost as if we're a bunch of snowflakes… :D

Yiddle beat me to it. They're having a hard time in the mid west, but here in Pennsylvania it was like a Spring day. Lovely, but it makes it hard when the cold weather comes back for a bit like it always does before Spring gets here for good.

First, thank you, Janet for the update on Legs. Much appreciated.

We had a tornado hit 20 miles away on Tuesday, rare for here and scary!
Yesterday were winds up to 65 and had some trees coming down, roof tiles flying, even some sheet metal. Very strange stuff. Finally got tv and internet this morning about 10am. Today is nice and calm, I like it much better!

That is a relief to hear. I hope they don't bring him those no salt meals now. Thanks for letting us know!

We only get snow here about every 20 years, but we are getting rain. We should have one more cold snsp in March. We already have wild flowers blooming. We are floating bwen high 50's & high 70's.

We had a lot of rain yesterday, which melted maybe 1/3 of the snow, but there is still plenty on the ground. Predicted temps range between 56 and 15 for the rest of the week. Trending warmer. By the end of the week, most of the snow will be gone. Except in the snow repositories, where it is piled as high as a house. When another storm is predicted, the city takes the excess snow piled on the boulevards, and puts it on otherwise unused land.

I am so ready for Spring! Last year I ordered and planted a bunch of perennials and can't wait to see them start growing! Some of the plastic tags have disappeared so it'll be a surprise to see what comes up. It really would help from here on in to make a map and list whats planted where.
