@rave your artwork is amazing!!!! Thank you @Uncle for posting the link.
I know about hands and thumbs. I braid leather leashes for show dogs and 2 years ago one of my dogs, in a straggling panic, bit off the end of my right thumb (totally not aggressive or her fault!!!). Being extremely right handed, it's been a struggle to heal and learn to adapt, but I have conquered the "absence" and, although I still get nerve pain and my hand stops working (especially in the cold, good I live in Florida!), I do manage to shoulder through. Nothing like I used to be able to do, but enough to get by.
Your artwork is awesome and I hope you can show us more. I also hope you hang around. This is a fantastic group of people and many of us have known each other for many years (not all from this thread originally but from other threads, so you fit right in!).
Welcome!!!
I haven't looked at Voltville in ages. I think it is dead. Heck, I don't think I have vaped in six months. But you know the scare I have been through.Thank you clnire! Weird - I look at my artwork via the link that Uncle posted, and everything is all blurry. Does it look that way to everyone else too? Or ... maybe I need to clean my glasses ...
It's a pain missing that whole thumb relationship. Sorry that you had to deal with it too.Ziploc baggies and buttons have become enemies of mine - but I force myself to use the bad hand in hopes that the nerves will reconnect. They won't try if I don't! I force myself to wear shirts with buttons just for that reason.
I used to be kind of a fixture on ECF. Started vaping in August of 2009 and never looked back. Just had my 10 year vaperversary. Back then, there were like ten different set-ups. No tanks, only cartomizers. I was part of a team that was trying to develop some kind of usable tank. The manufacturers were watching and picked up on our ideas. Awww ... back in the day. I was one of the Voltville gang. Is that still running?
Hi, rave! Nice to meet you! Glad Uncle got you here!Hello There My Dear Friend!! You are too kind! I'm still around, but not so much here.![]()
How are you doing?I haven't looked at Voltville in ages. I think it is dead. Heck, I don't think I have vaped in six months. But you know the scare I have been through.

I have an infusion of something called Herceptin once every three weeks. It can cause heart damage, so I am going to get an echocardiogram today to make sure everything is OK. I have lost 25 lbs!!How are you doing?

I have a lot of chemo-induced neuropathy in my feet, along with the sciatica-related neuropathy I already had.
I'm still praying! It's good to know what to pray about specifically, even if it's not required. 25lbs! I'll donate 25 so you can lose them for me!I have an infusion of something called Herceptin once every three weeks. Speaking of prayers, we thank you for yours and the positive thoughts!
Our eldest daughter had a colostomy a while back due to either Crohns or ulcerative colits (unknown at the time). Two weeks ago she had surgery where they removed her affected large intestine and connected the remaining 'plumbing'; IOW a successful surgery!
The docs determined she had UC, which was corrective with the operation. Her prognosis is excellent, with diet changes.
So we again thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts! View attachment 840929
Side note:
When I received a text that the surgery was successful, went in to tell my bride of fifty years...
Honey, the surgery was successful!
I know.
How did you know?
I prayed.
So happy your daughter's prognosis is excellent...that has to be such a blessed relief for all of you.Speaking of prayers, we thank you for yours and the positive thoughts!
