Very interesting. You worked that craft from seed to completion! And no 2 are alike. I'm sorry you can't continue doing it.

Wow, that sounds nuts. At least they didn't ask you for any blood. For the Real ID there was a whole list of possible documents to choose from to prove who you are, but you only need to pick 3. They looked at my social security card and either my passport and/or birth cert. (I forget) and that was it although I had other documents as well. There was a very brief form to fill out while waiting for my number to come up. I was due to renew my license anyway so I got that and the Real ID at the same time. They asked if I wanted to use my existing photo so I didn't even need my picture taken. They just printed out my new license with the star on it, I paid the fee and I was finished. The letter they send you to get Real ID sounds a lot more complicated. Didn't even need the police or the FBI.
I just renewed my DL online & they sent me the new one with the star & same pic. The renewal was 2 years early but that means it's 5 years before I have to renew again.

It's also tough to post when I'm supposed to be working. Taking a coffee break and lurking now. I'm counting the days (1460!) to retirement.

Unfortunately I'm in MA so no stocking up for me - unless I find something I really want and have it sent to a friend in NH ;)

I won't make it to DC this weekend for the rally. I'm going to Walk & Wag for Veterans. An adopted family member came back from 2 tours in Afghanistan in tough shape. His dog, Tippy, has made a world of difference to him. He's active in this program and I'm supporting him. Unfortunately, it's going to be on the cool side with a high of 42 for the day. I'm going to be bundled up!! I'm not ready for winter yet

Morning to ya Dancing ... yep been quiet around here. Maybe everyone's off checking out the sales and stocking up before the May deadline.
I just haven't been able to get into it this time. I've thought about buying a few things, especially nic. But, I just can't make myself do it. My heart just isn't in it, not this time. I think I wore out my stocking up enthusiasm a few years ago.
Good morning! :)

I've been around, but as Mike said above, I, too have been checking sales! Additionally, there are some other things going on IRL.... all good..... that are requiring my attention!
Yup, RL seems to be taking most of my energy too. I follow a bunch of threads. But, sometimes I go to check my unread threads and have to just skip a thousand posts at a time to catch up.

4 years. So close, but so far away. You can do it!

I'm back from visiting my sister. Aiken South Carolina is a lovely place to live. Everybody is so nice and things the lifestyle is laid back and the weather is mild. No wonder my sister loves living there.

Is that working days or days til retirement? It may seem like forever right now, but it will go faster than you think.

You've got mail...

LOL - that's total days, 4 years. Full retirement age is actually a little less and I'd like to retire sooner. I'm working now to keep building the savings account and for very good health ins benefits. My current job is high stress and doesn't pay what former ones did. I'm ready to say enough. I have to make sure the numbers ($) work to do that.

Yes, the years fly by - Aug 2020 is our 30th anniversary. How'd that happen? I know we're newlyweds compared to some, but 30 seems like a different milestone than the 25th which is supposed to be a biggie. Funny how some things hit you. Plus my DH turns 70 next year and I'd like us to have time to enjoy together. He had a triple by-pass a year ago (the day before Thanksgiving). It makes you re-evaluate what's important.
