Well, it's warmed up to 49o after this morning's low of 37.....one good thing is it puts me in the mood for Christmas decorating. Let me see....is there another good thing??? Sure, can wear my winter garb that I kept! Let me see, is there still more.....ummm....

Today we got the big tree up in the family room and the pencil tree up in the front room. The trees are up, but it doesn't feel like Christmas yet. Kate is coming here on Thursday and we're going to spend the whole day baking cookies, just like I used to do with my mother and sister many years ago. We're looking forward to starting a whole new tradition!
Well we finally did it. Got rid of Cable TV entirely. Dropped down to just internet only and subscribed to Youtube TV. We get more channels now that we actually watch and a bill that is $150 less a month. Better yet because of my little roku device I can actually watch TV here in the computer room instead of just Hulu and Netflix. Happy Kitty dance!
Hubby can watch all the football he likes on the big TV. I can sit in here and watch what I want to. Hello TCM!

Congrats! Last 2 years I've been using free legal web sites and some pirate apps. More and more websites lately many have older shows that I like. Uncle Earl's Classic TV Channel
Many old shows on YouTube also that run on Chrome and then Cast the show to the TV easily. Shows and movies all the way back to silent ones.
With the mute button, they can all be silent ones
Good morning everybody! Today is cookie baking day! Our daughter is coming so we can revive the tradition of baking Christmas cookies together. Maybe we'll put on It's a Wonderful Life while we work.
I bought myself an early Christmas present on a Black Friday deal. It's a Bissell Power Fresh floor steamer for tile and hardwood floors. It arrived yesterday so we got to use it on the kitchen floor and it works great. Much quicker and more efficient than my old one. It's going to come in very handy after the little ones leave!

Sounds great! I found a pleasant cmas channel on utube, grown up Christian type music that plays for hours that I use on the nearest tv.
Ok, so we only got 3 kinds of cookies made today. We decided to play with the kiffel recipe, but they didn't turn out very pretty. A lot of powdered sugar should fix that though. It was a good learning experience. So, I'll still be doing some baking before Christmas.
We did watch It's A Wonderful Life while we worked. It was the colorized version that was very well done. Somehow I still don't have the Christmas feeling yet though. Maybe we need some snow!

We'll be at a rainy 56 degrees today, but the cold temps are coming tomorrow. Did I mention there's 101 days till Spring?
