I make a pot, turn it off as soon as it is done. I nuke each cup individually (except for the first, of course).
I don't reheat coffee, and my Behmor Brazen coffee maker doesn't have a warming plate. The funny thing is that back in the early 1980's, I'd walk in the middle of the night to a 24-hour 7-11 that was only a city block away from my apartment, and I'd pour myself a giant cup of mud that was evaporated down from sitting on the warming plate for hours and hours. Potent stuff it was, and with enough milk and sugar, drinkable.

that sounds disgusting. lol But when I got out of the Navy, I'd drink anything......cuz their coffee was awful! My sil lived with me for awhile, and I would make a pot, (several during the day). If there was some left in the pot at night, I'd reheat it the next morning, bought generic coffee, sometimes reused grounds. Didn't matter, I was used to nasty Navy coffee. She couldn't take it. So we ended up always having fresh folgers. Once I got used to good coffee again, I can barely stand to reheat a cup in the nuker now.

lmao! Newp..........I totally mean toy.......sorry darlin.......you aint gittin that one past the sensors.

yay!!! on it being OFD!

hey, you're just the person I need. My son can't get his laptop to play nice with my printer. So he sends me songs for church to print out in email. I can easily do it from the puter. But what do I need to print from my phone? Sometimes it says samsung cloud print, sometimes something else that I forget. What is a good free dl from the app store or whatever, to hook the phone up to my printer pleasey please

Sensors!?!?... I hope there ain't no sensors here! I try to just quietly slip in and slip back out (while sneakin' Sally through the alley) :p

As for the censors here, I tiptoe around them too. ;)

Gimme a ring re: the phone/printer, we can more easily walk thru it telephonically :D

BTW, I have a coffee question (see below pleeese)

While you're debating whether or not to mask your identity, don't forget that the camera can also take still photos, which you could post rat cheer.

Sounds good, I'll do that in a few days. Can hardly wait to get my hands on it... it's gonna be a looong day. I live out in the sticks, and never know when the Fedex driver-du-jour will come... sometimes before noon, most times later, sometimes much later. UPS is always the same guy every day and comes at the same time every day --- within ~45 min. or so (mailman too).

I've always been an off-the-shelf coffee person, Folgers Classic Roast Medium in the cheapest auto-on drip machine we can find when we need another... usually either a Black&Decker, or... a Mr. Cawfee ATM.

The Folgers has started to give me heartburn along about the end of the second cup... is it too acidic? I guess my aging gastrointestinal system is getting more sensitive?... I think need a smoother, budget-priced coffee, with emphasis on the 'budget'... any off-the-shelf suggestions? Either that or I need to try hot tea maybe?

I know this may sound like a stoopid question, but I know absolutely nothing about coffee except how to scoop it in, add water, and hit the ON or AUTO button.

I'm not sure what would be a less acidic off the shelf coffee, but you can try adding maybe a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda on top of the grounds, that often helps the acidity. I have serious heartburn due to a hiatel hernia. I also sometimes add just a pinch of salt, but that's not for easing the acidity. Sometimes add some cinnamon to the grounds also.

I considered Taster's Choice freeze-dried instant coffee to be a gourmet delicacy... instead of heating water for it we'd just use hot tap water.
Borrowing 3mg's Gaaaak!!! and you're welcome to use grrr mudgeon anytime ya like. :D I did that once when I was a teenager, hot water with instant........once was enough to cure me. Now I do like using Nescafe for making whatchyacallems. Yanno, Iced creamy coffee drinks.

Smooth and budget-priced don't go together very well when it comes to coffee. Do you use milk or cream? If so, my suggestion is to switch to almond milk... it's so much easier to digest than dairy products are.

Never used milk or cream usually... but about a month after the burn started getting worse, on impulse, I put in a big dollop of quality vanilla ice cream in my second cup. That seemed to help, but we ran out of that and my wife bought some on-sale Butter Pecan.

I'll put almond milk on the grocery list, I don't think I should have 3-4 big dollops of ice cream early every morning!

I've never been told I'm lactose-intolerant, but I know that my system files grievances when it's asked to digest any significant amount of ice cream.

awwwww c'mon.......why not! :D

I'll try that and see if it helps - and if my wife notices the taste
If you notice a taste at all, use a lil less. There really shouldn't be any taste, unless you or she have super sensitive tastey buds

oh that's awful. I can deal with having to cut my coffee back although that was hard to go gradually from 2-3 pots a day finally after some years, to only a cup or two a day. and I can deal with having to watch it on how much mater sauce I eat etc, but very glad I don't have issues with ice cream or other dairy. My grand daughter does though. I hate she goes through that.

Today is that special kind of day.
The kind of day that you want to record every single second
Put it into a decorative box with smiley faces all over it,
Tie it with a decorative bow,
...
...
...
And burn it out of existence.

My day started just a brief 4 hours after going to bed. 5:30 and the phone rings. I had to quickly grope for the receiver and answer.
Mom: " who am I speaking to?"
Me: "Your loving son Ken."
Mom: "<dad> had a heart attack and I've brought him to the hospital and..."
-- dial tone --
Well.. my bedside phone doesn't have much but a dial and receiver, so I turn on the lights and stumble to the living room wondering why she used my dad's name instead of saying 'your dad'.
Call her back, and, yes.. "your dad is in the emergency room now being looked over, but they don't want to call it a heart attack, just a possible heart condition."

welp. no more sleep today.
Later on, while at work, I get several texts with updates...
I like to take a nap during lunch, so I lay down on the couch and drift to sleep.... for 20 min. Mom calls again.
She doesn't remember calling me this morning and was wondering how I knew to call her... she was not really with it this morning.
Turns out that the good news is that it was not a heart problem.
The almost as bad news is that it's pneumonia.
time to sleep - 4:20 <sigh>
Then they delayed his Dialysis today until his heart started rapid pulses.

Mon called tonight at 8:30 to tell me this gem. She is exhausted as she never even got the 20 min nap. She got 6 hours of sleep, but still.
Tomorrow, she is going to go postal on the staff to make sure that his Dialysis is given in the morning like it should be.

ya... time to put this day in the trash.

Oh geez Ken! Here's hoping it all works out for the best for him.

Don't know how well this works with off the shelf coffee, but cold brewed coffee tends to be less acidic.

    @umanbean

please don't ignore/cover up possible reflux issues - can cause a chain of troubles.
    this is very true.

Duhhhh I knew there was something I was trying to think of, and this was it! @umanbean definitely try cold brew. It's a little bit of a pain, but Janet bought a thing specifically made for making it. I could be wrong, but I think she said maybe around 20.00 Maybe one like this, https://www.amazon.com/Takeya-Coffe...324503&sr=1-4&keywords=cold+brew+coffee+maker but she can tell you exactly what she got. You just have to plan ahead as it takes around 12 hours for it to brew. Then you have to heat it up. But.......the coffee is soooooooo good and way less acidic. I really enjoy drinking it black when it's cold brewed, and I'm mostly a cream and sugar girl.
