See I don't want all that techie stuff in my head. Do all TC mods require fiddling like that.

So I use 7 wraps of 29g kanthal - 9 wraps of SS will be close that. But even 9 wraps will be tedious to fit my build decks. 8 wraps with Kanthal was always my upper limit for length if the coil.

Poor little girl.

But then I'd have to buy Windows. That ain't cheap. I'd don't want to spend on that just to adjust my mod.
I'd also have to buy a machine to run it on. Wouldn't you?

In the last couple weeks, I have changed over to SS. I use Steam Engine to figure out the coils just like I did with Kanthal. I agree with Kenna, the shift to SS is easy or I wouldn't have switched either. I was a bit intimidated with making spaced coils but after making my first one it is a piece of cake. Give it a try, what do you have to lose.
I do spaced & contact with SS.

Most mod makers grounded dna boards through the board mounting screws for chassis ground. Try tightening the board mounting screws and the 510 mounting screws (if it's not a press fit 510). I bet it'll fire right up.
I can make it work, by clamping the top and bottom of the mod as hard as I can in my hand. The battery sled is made from a poor grade of plastic and has lots of cracks in it. The metal outer case is slightly warped. The DNA200 chip, though, is worth saving... I didn't really realize that when I tossed the mod in the trash after looking and seeing that it wouldn't be easy to remove the chip. It's a Wismec Reuleaux DNA200. I have several other Wismec Reuleaux mods that are the cheaper RX200 variety, and their battery sleds and cases are all deteriorating in the same fashion. The wiring inside is poorly done, too.
Sometimes I miss bowling. Had to give it up about the same time my average got high enough to be proud of it... My wife and I go and watch it once in a while on a bored Friday night a few times a year...
I was a formidable bowler at one time, with an average in the triple digits. :thumb: I quit around 1981 because there wasn't a bowling place on the planet that had a pair of size 14 shoes to rent to me. Wearing size 12 was killing me.

I hate to say it but my heart is breaking.

I am trying to figure out what I can do to help her keep from walking into the fence.

OK, let's 'see' if we can give ya a lil' relief here...

What does a dog look for? Owner, ball, fav toy, teasing squirrel to chase and/or 'nother possible .... to 'greet'?
What does a dog listen for? It's name, compliments, whistle, cupboard door, food dish replenishment?
What does a dog really need to be a happy/contented canine?

The smell (puppy's first sense), tender touch and nurturing love of her caring bipedal pardner(s), AKA her pack! All else is a canine bonus...

As long as your yard is fenced with no new hazards, your four legged gal will be fine. Chances are she'll surprise and most likely amaze ya!!! Don't feel sorry for her as long as she's in no pain. She's just so doggone happy to be with you...

BTW, her sniffer is much mo' sensitive dan your eyesight in da dark. She'll learn (if she hasn't already) dat fence line before ya can change batts in your flashlight.

Ya'll just luv each other while ya'll can!

@3mg Meniere just saw that video - for real? She is freaking out over a tiny needle? (20-22G) is what I've seen them draw blood with, 22-24G to administer an IV with - unless you're getting a FAST-1 or a neck stick (IV delivered in the neck) then they use 12G and I think the FAST-1 (which goes through the sternum and directly into bone) is about 4-8G. The FAST-1 is for last resort "HOT DIGGITY DOOD! All of your limbs are missing!". I have had the luxury of hitting someone with a FAST-1 before... its painful to do.
Shhhhhh! Last time I had surgery I started coming out of the anesthesia & kept feeling something tickling my neck. I'd brush at it & zonk out again. Repeat. Repeat. Finally I wake up enough to realize there was something-something my neck. I could see my sister next to me & I reached up to grab at whatever was ticking my neck. She leaned over me, smiled, got in my face & told me not. to. pull. the. iv. out. of. my. neck. An iv in my neck is a major thing for me. Freaks me out! Just waaaaay too close to my brain. She thought it was funny. 3 years later I'm still "Eeeewwww"! Knock me out!

Thank you, everyone, for the lovely comments about my poor pup. She is 6? years old and has lived in the house and yard for the whole time. She knows her way around the house but has some trouble in the yard with the chainlink fence. I am trying to figure out what I can do to help her keep from walking into the fence. I'm thinking of stakes and a small rope about chest high a few inches in from the fence. I do some crafting with paracord and have plenty of it around the house. The vet did say that there is a possibility her sight will return when the infection is cleared up. If it doesn't I might see about getting a seeing eye dog for her.
Try tying strips of white plastic grocery bags to the fence at eye level to catch her attention?

Your right about that. It's amazing some of the stuff I've read about some of the mods. Practically have to rebuild them to get them operating properly. I haven't really had any problems with my Lost Vapes or Lavabox ones. My hcigar VT133 seems to not use the batteries evenly plus it came with no settings for the mod in it, but I found a guy on the Evolve Forum that had 7 of them and he had them all so it made it easy. The Lavabox is a really neat little DNA75 so light all aluminum but I hate the screen. They put a piece of Dark plastic over it and you cannot see the screen outside except at night.

Yep you should have seen me getting ready and after open heart surgery. They had to put one needle into my artery for arterial blood and she did it just above my wrist, she went through the artery and it took her about 20min to get it to stop bleeding. I had IV's seemed like everywhere, luckily they knocked me out for most of them using the one they had in my wrist. I had more tubes then a chemistry experiment.

When I finally came around even tho I was on enough pain meds to put a horse down I felt like I got hit in the chest with a wrecking ball. I told the doctor my chest hurt, duh, he said yep I had to do a lot of stomping around in there. I got Last Rites twice, figgered that was a good idea. Once at the church and a priest made his rounds in the cardiac surgery prep area.

@bigbells heck yeah man! I got some games in yesterday with it, just to learn it's power, core, reactions to the slightest motion, twitch, wind, etc. My old Toxic needs a break. I'll use it to pick up spares, as it's core is symmetric whereas this core isn't. I did feel a lot more feedback from the gauntlet as well, meaning wherever i throw it, is likely where it's going to go. Same with twisting my hands, even slightly, it will spin until it gets 3/4 down the lane, then hook off rapidly sending pins flying in every direction. She's a bad gauntlet. Probably the most fun I've hand bowling in awhile.
I never was very good at bowling. My wife's sister and her husband bowled in a league in L.A. and each year went to Las Vegas for a tournament.

I do spaced & contact with SS.

I had no idea that you could do contact coils with SS. I am just now getting OK at doing the spaced and think I will stay with them for a while.

One thing I have noticed, my DIY juice sure does junk up my coils. The first couple maybe three days I can do real good with the tanks in TC. Then after that, it will automatically switch to Wattage Mode. I can clean and re-wick and it will not stay in TC so I continue using the tanks in Wattage for a couple more days and then it won't recognize the coil. I then make a new coil and can do TC again for a couple days, starting the cycle again. Oh, I am using the Kanger V5 on my Wismec RX200.

Thank you, that is very nice. I did go ahead and put paracord about 8 inches from the ground and all along the fence line. She is learning where she can go and what the limits are on the fence. She is my constant companion, following me around the house, yard, and is my protector when working in the workshop.

Spaced coils seems to be better for some reason. I even do them with Kanthal when I use it rarely.

Yep plus I made the mistake of watching a video of the complete surgery before hand so I knew what was coming. NOT advisable. You don't want to know.

Did you notice that she used a butterfly needle? Like for pediatrics or someone who is dehydrated? LOL-- major trauma. Obviously some kind of psychological problem.
