It's those things I've done today that I don't find out are wrong until tomorrow that are the most challenging.
Yepper, I agree...

Mine is under my mattress. Kinda lumpy, maybe that's why I don't sleep so wellHey if you have more then 22mil you're in good shape specially if you own a corporation. That's most of us right?
I don't usually bruise, unless they go diggin or blow a vein. That's the way for Ginny also plus she is an easy bruiser. She comes out looking like I beat the heck out of her.
wahoooooooo!! Meant to comment on that a few days ago, and forgot. Hope it continues.I gained 3.5 pounds that is good
Awwwwwwwwww I can just see him being so amazed! Glad you are close to them, but I know they can wipe you out. I can't imagine chasin after a lil one now. Our pups wear me out. We've had Miles for 3 days. So last night we took him to a nearby street where 2 houses are all decked out in lights. Tune in to a radio station and the lights are in sync with the Christmas music. Miles has never seen anything like it. Kept saying, "Look at that!!" It was great. I see those displays and while I'm enjoying them can't help but think about the chore it's going to be to put it all away!
This morning it sounded like Miles was waking up at 4:15 and by the time he settled down I couldn't get back to sleep. At 5:45 I came down to catch up on some emails and 6:45 Miles was up for the day. Thought since we put him down late he'd sleep in... Good thing we take him home in a little while. We'll go pick up Baby Beckett and take them both home. Pizza for dinner and then we'll head home as soon as the Momma gets home from work. This has been a most glorious 3 days with Miles Man, but we're whooped. He's speaking in sentences now - some of which we actually understand! He's a riot. 3 year olds are the funniest age I think.
kewlios!Got a couple new toys this week
Glad it went well for you. Hope the others do also. Kinda neat they give you something to look at.I start Dec 26th then every other day for 5 sessions with a break at New Years. Oh and the light on the ceiling is a picture of trees lit up.
Jup. I get staying away from a few things, but we don't need to be forced to be so PC that we can't talk about anythingWhy not?!?! This isn't a political issue. It is, in most cases, mainly a timeless female issue! Regardless, it crosses all sexes/ages/economic status/etc.
I'm quite certain that we have folk here that may not be comfortable to discuss such matters; so be it. BUT, we are adults and know right from wrong as to proper respect for each other.
Being an husband with three daughters and a grand-daughter, I'm more than willing to discuss da topic in this forum. If we do, I anticipate sum interesting 'engagements'...
Oh wait, OK... no politics and religion... agreed. Musta missed da sex abuse/impropriety part...
Please correct me if I'm 'off base'!
wow.......what a great guy! They'd have had my business also!Yep, and a cold winter night is not the time that you wanted to be reminded.
Several years ago we were out shopping after Christmas and it happened to us in the mall parking lot at 9pm. You would not believe it - we were saved by a O'Reilley Auto Parts guy that had closed up shop and was coming to the mall to pick up something on his way home. The batt was to dead to jump off so he went back to his shop - opened it up and brought the battery back to us. Then we drove over and paid for it...
JUPAs far as veggies and fruit goes - frozen is the best - picked at the closest to ripe that they can let it get - quick frozen within hours in most cases and little if no preservatives...
Canned - avoid it these days like the plague. To much in the can besides what you are trying to consume...
And fresh - well it was picked about 2 weeks early and let ripen over the days that it took to process it and ship it through a processing center and delivery to a store - in some cases they pick it so early they have to spray it to get it to ripen faster for you to see as a fresh product...
It really stinks that is how they work.......but they do. So much is wasted, but you could always turn it into a win. Take the new chair, and give your other one to someone who needs one, but can't get one if they could get the batteries. Stinks the lift would be so expensive though.Well I went to the VA yesterday to see about getting batteries and a lift for my power chair. Kinda funny but this is how the govt works. They won't do anything to my chair which is like new because they didn't furnish it to me, but they said they would get me a new one. I don't see any point in that, for the same chair right now which they haven't changed in the 9 years since I got mine, since it was a great design with the shortest turning radius powerful to negotiate almost any hill, large drive tires for traction and the price now is $4000. I told her that would be a big waste of money for the VA and I would cover my own batteries, the chair only has maybe 1-2 miles on it.
They also said they would get a lift for me, but after some investigation what they came up with would not work for my chair, it is too heavy like 300lbs, The alternative is something called a Bruno Chariot, there are other brands also, but you may have seen them. They attach to the rear of the car with a hitch and another brace on each side. They have 2 wheels and lift the chair up and it is supported by its own suspension and the 2 wheels but it it not like a trailer the wheels turn and you drive and back up normally. Now I just have to see if they would cover something like that, they aren't cheap like around $3000 plus installation which the same place that they contract out to is an authorized dealer. So will have to talk to them tomorrow and see if they will cover something like that.
I'll just have to see but since I would be saving them money not getting a new power chair, maybe just maybe they would otherwise I would have to finance it. It would sure be nice not to have to sit in the car because I can't walk much over 150-200' without being in really bad shape.
Oh well I'll see all I can do is try. Kind of a long post. The govt works in mysterious ways. I don't need a new chair tho.
I'm not touching on this subject here.......
Please note in this quote of my post that I did NOT tell anyone that they couldn't voice their thoughts!up. I get staying away from a few things, but we don't need to be forced to be so PC that we can't talk about anything
Believe it or not it is possible to discuss issues without being offensive or insulting towards someone's beliefs. What i take issue with is those who cant broach a topic without reflexively blaming everything on the party opposite their own and calling its members or leaders foul names for no purpose than to vent their own frustrations. Civil discourse is lost because everything in politics these days boils down to opinion and emotion, and those "facts" that are based on opinions are the hardest to let go of.Please note in this quote of my post that I did NOT tell anyone that they couldn't voice their thoughts!
Harassment, assault, and abuse, whether physically, sexually, mentally, emotionally, are not owned solely by women. It is something that happens to both genders and all sexual orientations.
To my knowledge, I still have the freedom of choice as to where, when, and with whom I choose to discuss this.
Well I did get some news and with this chair and this car there is no lifts available. I would gladly donate mine to them if they got me one that would work that was as good as this one. Guess I shoulda looked into it more but this particular chair is heavy. They make one that would work but the VA view it as a trailer thats the Bruno Chariot. It will work on any vehicle but even tho it becomes a permanent fixture on your car it is considered a trailer even by WA state you have to license it, I guess cause it has its own wheels and tires. So I heard from Bruno but not the VA yet so maybe they will come up with something. It really stinks that is how they work.......but they do.
I wasn't referring to you in any wayPlease note in this quote of my post that I did NOT tell anyone that they couldn't voice their thoughts!
Amen!!!And as for the harassment and such: is it really too much to ask that people act in a civilised manner? If every man, from our leaders to our ditch diggers, acted like a gentleman, and the women acted like ladies, none of this would be an issue.
4yrs stinky free
Hope they get something worked out for you. But if you do get a new one, I wouldn't give the other one to the VA unless it was a particular program they have that would see to it it got to someone who really needed it. Ya can't stop the government from wasting money, but there are tons of folks who don't have access to things like that, but really need them.Well I did get some news and with this chair and this car there is no lifts available. Yeah that picture of him in the blow up chair still cracks me up, he is such a guy. Hope Mike doesn't mind that I copied it here. But here it is for those that didn't see it. Really cracks me up, should put a smile on your face. Not only such a guy he's already device literate. Takes after old grampa I guess. Mike you should get a chair like that and photo shop it in. I love this pic everytime I see it I start giggling.Awwwwwwwwww I can just see him being so amazed!

Ya you are probably right, they would probably throw it away or something dumb like that. I'm sure there would be someone who would love to have it.But if you do get a new one, I wouldn't give the other one to the VA unless it was a particular program they have that would see to it it got to someone who really needed it.
I guess I'm just trying' to remind folk to count their blessings as opposed to biatchin' 'bout their perceived 'slights'.
BTW, it's not been an enjoyable past several days re Patty's situation. Ergo, my quest for the positives and my near intolerance for banal complainin'.
May all our Porchers realize their blessings and revel in this Holy Season!
Peace out...
((((Johnny)))), sending all my good thoughts to you for continued strength and I consistently include you and Patty on my prayer list.I guess I'm just trying' to remind folk to count their blessings as opposed to biatchin' 'bout their perceived 'slights'.

Yep!*WHOA! No one accused you of such.

Well, I guess my hopes for a civilized discussion on this very relative/current topic has been turned into a perceived personal affront.
So sad...
