Stopping by for a hot minute, then I must get productive!!

6a0120a79d6acb970b01676536ebfc970b-pi

Nah, being unproductive is productive if that's what you need.

Well anyone got snow on the ground yet. We don't luckily. Its been freezing everyday and if it did snow it would definitely stick. The ground is frozen.

Yep, we've got about 2". Just enough to make everything look clean and pretty. It's too cold to go outside though so I'll just settle for looking at it through the window. Speaking of which I had to clean the windows on the sliders today. The sun was shining in and it was so marked up with Miles prints it's a wonder we could see anything out of it!

@Flowersoul hows Peter doing. Were they able to get his ejection fraction up above 55 yet?
Thank you for asking, Pat. Unfortunately, no.

I hesitated posting about his update cause it wasn't happy news. The doctor said it was most likely the virus that he contracted while we were in N.Carolina at the hospital where his sister was. He was at that hospital visiting once sometimes 2x a day. His other sister caught the same bug, but it didn't affect her heart. Each of us caught something also, but only lasted about 3 days. The doctor, however, was pleased with his bloodwork and said, although weak, his heart sounded good?!?

Doctor wants him to wear the Life Vest for another 2 months to see if the virus will run its course and hopefully, the EF will increase to 35% which is the number the doc wants to see to eliminate the implant....

I hate the fact that he has to go through this and his look of disappointment when the doctor told him his EF factor didn't increase put a crack in my heart.

Growing old ain't not for sissies, to be sure!

I'm so sorry for you guys. But hopefully will make a swing for the better. Will keep praying for him and you. These damned viruses, it worries me everytime I go to the doctors cause I see so many. My hands are all dried out from using so much sanitizer. People don't realize how much it weighs on you when things like this happen unless they are going thru it themselves. Seems like no matter what you do its there in the back of your mind, constantly.
I'm glad he has that vest that will give him instant help if he needs it. I'm also glad he is at least able to carry on some of the things he enjoys.

I try not to let it get me into the stinkin thinkin as they call it but sometimes I can't and I'll let it start manifesting itself in things that I say and do. Then I have to take a xanax to make it stop. It's something that some don't agree with but I can put myself into a full blown panic attack. Everytime I have to go thru some procedure like this Cyberknife I worry about it. People try to reassure me but it doesn't help. I'm sure it seems stupid to some but it is what it is. Unless you're living it yourself it's hard to understand.

You guys try to have a great Christmas. I'm glad you have family to help you.

I don't normally like to use sanitizers cause I would like to think that our immune systems are strong, but now we have one in every room.

My daughter and sil here is such a boost! We're normally a very positive upbeat family, but there have been 'those' times when we become very reflective. That stinkin thinkin!!! I actually allow those times to take their course (as long as they don't last too long) cause I know if I don't, then they will persist. I get em overwith! :) We've been keeping very busy with Christmas and we will have a home full of grandbabies and friends and the preparations are keeping our minds busy!

Well we get to see how our Outback is in the snow today. It wasn't supposed to but it's snowing and the ground is well frozen. Gotta go pick up the Ford from another tire fix. Hope they got it this time. Alyssa a nd Jacob are going to use it for the 2 days they will be here. No snow tires on it this year just couldn't see putting out $100 to put them on and $100 to take them off when we have the Outback. I should've traded the Ford in but it is nice now that when Ginny goes shopping I at least have something to drive if I need to since I usually stay home. Too hard for me to get around these days.

about 7 mg/ml of nic

You still inhale that stuff? I decided about a year ago that continuing to stuff foreign chemicals into my already damaged lungs for the sake of a nic fix was not a good thing. Since I quit stinkies in 2011 I have steadily decreased nic from 12 to 0. Been at zero nic for a while and feel better for it. Yes, I know, it's the tar and carpet glue that give you cancer but I'm not willing to bet on the nic and flavoring additives anymore in joose either.

Well the Outback did great but I decided not to attempt to bring the Ford home after I saw people stuck all over on little hills. Since they didn't call me yesterday when it was done I called them and told them I would have to leave it till they hit the roads a little. Heres a pic of our no snow forecast.

That's great! You know what they call the person who graduates dead last in their class from medical school?.... Doctor.

Captain is the answer to that. Heard that from some oldtimer at the VA I believe.
You beat me to it. I've heard this answer since I joined the Navy. Although, one of the squadrons I was in I took care of the gear for the Flight Surgeon at the local base healthcare facility. Talk about a smart individual. He was a doctor and also a fighter pilot.

Nah, being unproductive is productive if that's what you need.

I am reminded of an old joke. Every morning when the old couple would sit at the table for their morning coffee the wife would complain to her husband about their neighbor and how lazy she was because of her whites that were hung out to dry were dingy looking. One morning while having coffee the wife remarked that the neighbor's whites were sparkly. She asked her husband if he had mentioned anything to her husband about their laundry. He took a sip of coffee and shook his head, nope he said. I washed our window!

No they did away with Net Neutrality that made that stuff illegal so the ISPs are now allowed to do that. So they can hit places like Netflix and the other streaming channels with an extra cost and they are now allowed to pass it on to the consumer. From what I can make of this which isn't much that I understand but the ISPs have the right to throttle your speed if you use sites that they don't prefer. I agree Amazon isn't anything to write home about. I hate it when they have a series and you get to the last season and they want $$$ for that one. They do that a lot also.
oh........well that stinks. Figures though, it's always all about the money and how they can mess the little guy outta more of it.

Seems no matter who we send to Washington ther all turn crooked.
They either are crooked, turn crooked, or.......if you can manage to find one that stays honest, someone will cook up rumors about em to get rid of em. Can't have a moral honest person gittin in their way.

We have the same, but it's always at the bottom from puppy paws and noses.

Most of us still inhale that stuff, but glad you were able to give up flavors and nic.

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get better news, but it's not all bad. Thank heavens for the vest and there's reason to think that he will improve, it's just going to take longer than expected. He's got you looking after him and I know he'll listen so I'm certain he'll do fine. And you're right, getting old sure ain't for sissies!

Keeping my fingers crossed for your hubby.

How wonderful that you two will have friends and grandbabies around you for Christmas. That should cheer you both up a lot.
