All dressed up for Santa
I can remember getting to go see Santa how about you? She has outfits for every thing. That guy is going to need a walk in closet.
Damn PW I get through 1 or 2 per lifetime.I have an old Kindle (maybe 2nd gen?) and a PaperWhite, but I don't use them much; I may take the PW if I need to read in bright outdoor light where the tablets are washed out. My main "reader" is my iPad which gets up to 6 or 8 hours a day. I can read on my iPhone (on the rare occasions I get stranded without the iPad), but the smaller screen plays havoc with speed reading (I usually get through one or more average novels per day).
Nah, we're age enhanced![]()
Has anyone talked to Iffy. I don't recall seeing him very much lately. Maybe this new doc who took an interest in Patti is helping. I hope so. It was 11 here this morning. I read that there is supposed to be a gigantic storm going to hit most of the US in the next few days. Guess that shoots some big holes in the theory there is no climate change.
OK thanks Mike.Iffy's been posting occasionally on the Front Porch
(Looking for my enhancements)

My best guess is 50,000 books read (many of them more than once or twice) in my lifetime. But then I'm only 75, so I can read a bunch more if I keep at it..
Ah, Christmas memories and Santa. I have probably already mentioned this before, however, it is still a happy memory for me. When Nancy was stationed at Orange, TX we were active in the little community (Deweyville, TX) we lived in. I was a volunteer firefighter and EMT and Nancy was also an EMT and on the board of directors for the volunteer ambulance service. Anyway, I had played Santa for the Reserve Center Christmas party and still had the costume. One of our friends, fellow EMTs, were boarding a pony their neighbor had bought for their daughters Christmas present. They were going to walk the pony over Christmas morning. This was an opportunity I could not pass up. So Christmas morning I dressed up as Santa and all of us walked over with the pony. I'm sure that little 5-year-old girl has a lifetime memory of her pony and Santa. Come to find out their neighbor was the Chief of our local volunteer fire department. He and his wife were extremely appreciative of the gesture.
I wish they would stop putting this Join ASPCA commercial on tv. It makes me feel so bad, I hate it it's bad enough knowing there are some really screwed up people out there with their treatment of animals, who should be lined up and shot but I think that is too good for them, I think they should be chained and live outside in, if they are lucky a cage. I can't even express how much I HATE people like this. they belong in cages or better gone. It should carry a much higher penalty then what they get,
My Rant for the day, if I never see that commercial again it would be too soon. I think they should declare open season on these people.
So nice of you to do that. That little girl will always remember that.Ah, Christmas memories and Santa. I have probably already mentioned this before, however, it is still a happy memory for me. Just stick it in there. You can debone first if you want. I like the garlic & herb ones from Walmart. After deboning I slow boil the carcass & make sure to get alk the jiuces from the container in with the carcass. It makes a fantastic soup base!I haven't tried rotisserie chicken, but I'm about to. Any tips on the best way to store them in the fridge for a few days of sandwiches?
