Well Ginny has started her radiation so she stops everyday. She's 1 in a million. The lady accross the hall has C and knows Ginny from the C center, so Ginny brings me food and it is always way too much for me and she gives her 3/4 of it. I don't think this lady Marty is long for the world, she had to have a colostomy and she is staying here. her bag broke tonight and Ginny delivered her food and came right back she said she has her limits. She's like a Candy Striper here. Her first treatment she said they barely got hooked up and it was over.The doc said tht she may get a headache and also gave her some cream in case it burned. They had my pain meds messed up last night and the doc raised the amount by 5mg, he also put 4 times a day instead of every 6 hours. I guess they mean 2 different things 4 times a day means between 8am and 8pm then nothing after till 8 am. My pain doesnt shut off at 8pm so I woke up at 1 am and couldn't have any till 8am. My pain didn't shut off so was awake till 8:30am then I was out like a light. So no therapy today got it straightened out I hope.
Well todays episode of as The Old Folks Home Turns. Pretty eventful. Got my pain meds right, times for my therapy right. A couple of times really made my shoulder hurt but I'm ok now. Joined the d==p of the month club. Got one of my fave aids tonight. Yikes the aidd came in and I left my puffer out lucky it was the good one damn. I can't believe I did that. I've been so careful. She said she wouldn't say anything. But they don't allow that, so don't let anyone else see it. Damn damn damn.
Well I hope she sticks to her word, I think she will. Shes a good one I think, but who knows. She sure is a hard worker I know that.

Aw Patrick 2legs.... for quite a while now ,I believe that I admire you more than any other person in the world.I would be happy with only a 10th of your attitude!!
well they are a little worried about me I've lost 7 lbs, 117 today so been trying to eat more or some. Did I mention the food was terrible. So I have to drink an ensure + with every meal. I've eaten so much for dinner I'm about sick. Some of the weight was water. Things were pretty swollen when I got here. Not now tho. I have to be able to transfer from bed to commode on my own to get freed. cAN BARELY STAY awake right now.
Oh joy. And some REALLY cold temps following right behind this storm. Fortunately we replaced our heater in Sept. so no more worrying about the heater/furnace giving us trouble. Got the firewood stocked up in case the elec goes out.

Snow is ok, even enjoyable, certainly beautiful, it's the ice that's so dangerous, so we're staying in.

Snow is ok, even enjoyable, certainly beautiful, it's the ice that's so dangerous, so we're staying in.
Here I am. I hate riding in a snowstorm. I like to think I have control. So after a visit to a nearby town that has better shopping, we said the rosary all the way home. I am feeling nun-like, wearing scarves, even though they are bright colors, it is the tactile, not the visual.
More snow expected mid-week. I want some good snow to insulate my garden. Last winter sub-zero weather without snow did a nasty number on many peoples gardens.

I bet you look just fine in a lovely scarf. There's a lot of different ways to wear them and lots of demos online to show you how to do it. I think it's most attractive. It's just going to take some getting used to because you'll look different. Different can be a very good thing!!
Looks like we're just going to be getting sleeting rain here. Ugh!! I agree it would be much better to get the snow for a lot of reasons. If I remember right I think the Farmers Almanac said here in the northeast and north of us it was going to be a cold winter with not a ton of snow. Looks like that prediction might be coming true. For us February is usually our peak winter weather.
A few years ago, I helped a friend after she lost her hair by watching some vids from Valerie Harper doing the wraps she wore as Rhoda on those two TV shows. I think Valerie/Rhoda did them the best ever.
For some reason, I see snow as a challenge. I feel compelled to go out and see what I can do in the way of winter driving.
I learned to drive (in the 1950s) in a VW bug. Rear-wheel drive and "...-heavy" made bugs easy to get into a slide or fishtailing skid. Light enough to wrestle them out of a snowdrift single-handed. As I got older, a heavy snow was a challenge to go out and acquire enough alcohol to weather the storm. (Now, much older, of course, I always have enough wine on hand to weather ANY storm.) But I still like going out in the snow. Being the first car down a snow-filled country road, feeling for the shoulder by the texture of the pavement (or lack of pavement) - - - "Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow!"

Well not much to say from the old folks home. Therapist gave me a workout not a lot but put more of the burden on my shoulders to stand pivot and sit. Made my shoulder and hip hurt pretty bad.Sheyou tomorrow.
