Since I get to do all da culinary chores 'round here, I recently bought two additional kitchen appliances; an instant pot and an air fryer.

Well tonight I cooked an outstanding stoveless/ovenless power miser meal:

Bacon wrapped colossal shrimp (air fryer, 15 min)
Asparagus (instant pot, 2 min)
Corn on da cob (microwave, 3 min)

If ya never have tried COC in da micro, try dis slick method:

If ya like grilled corn as I do, just nuke 'em and den throw 'em on da grill for da roastin'.

Another trick is to use those red microwave potato bags for the corn. Tastes almost liked it was on the grill.

Sounds like you like them? Never heard of these red bags so I looked it up. I see 1 bag for 8.99, 4 pack for 9.99, 2 pack for 6.99 etc. They all look exactly the same, but I'm wondering if the cheaper ones are cheaper material? For just the 2 of us I'd think it would be pretty handy - if they work.

Do you have a Roses? Maybe Big Lots. I paid 1.00 for mine at Roses. I use it for potatoes for potato salad as well as other veggies.

If they still have them here, I could get a couple for you, if you like.

Oh my, oh my! We haven't bought any vape gear for a long, long time. I guess the new Deeming date coming in about 9 months now put the scare to us. In the last couple weeks we've bought ....

    2x Dicodes Dani Box Mini's
1x Dicodes Surface Mount Charging Station
2x NOS Provari Classics (the flat top models)
4x Zenith D22 tanks (domestic version 3 ml capacity)
    2x Zenith D22's (Euro version 2ml capacity)
    6x boxes of Zenith coils.

Now to watch for sales on the Zenith coils and stock up on them. Janet is really liking that tank, which is a good thing ... means less re-wicking for me. Actually I find it a pretty good vape too, I have one in my daily rotation too.
I love the Zenith and Zlide as well as the Z-biip. The coils are phenomenal. They make a flavor change without blinking and they last so long.

So, this is where everyone, who's anyone hangs out! I was feeling a bit lonesome since PIF closed so I was just wandering around and found this cool little porch with some shade and a lot of sunshine! Would love to share some iced tea with you all and this little contribution; Clouds blowing clouds? What do you think it looks like?

Thanks for sharing your porch, seems like these days all I do is sit! Ok and cook a fair amount, not a good combo tho! @Iffy I bought a Ninja Foodi last fall, has the airfryer/pressure cooker all in one, I must say it has replaced my oven for almost a year now. Love to have only 1 pan to clean and omg, not heating up a oven on one of these blazing hot days is the best!

Pif was so fun to be a part of, sadly when Lox passed away it was pretty much a ghost town. There were so many fun people that would just chit chat the night away. We'd tell stories late into the night sometimes laughing so hard tears rolled down my legs. I've been thru the blue foam, Taryn spin, tea bags, jery-rigged battery box mods, 510's, 801's, darwins, reo's. home made syringe tanks and even re-wrapped coils.

These days it's Istick 20's, unflavored diy..life is so much simpler. I retired last year, this is the view from my "back porch" and I love getting up everyday to see the sunrise - have a great day everyone

Very nice, I had a similar lake view until I moved last year.

Do ya leave the husk on? Would a large unhusked ear fit?

Da method I posted does leave da ear clean as a whistle; no silk pickin' at all!

    Vchick, luv da lake view!

I remove the husk and silk when I make it in the micro. I use the grill when I am grilling but if I am making something not on the grill such as meat loaf I use the micro method.

Thank you so much for the offer, but I can just order them from Amazon. We don't have a Roses here and I've never heard of them. What I've been doing is cutting a baked potato in half, rubbing the whole thing with a coating of oil and putting them cut side down on a baking sheet. Works great, but still takes about 1/2 hr to cook. I found 4 of the bags for $6.44 so our son and daughter can have one too. I suspect all the offers are exactly the same thing. I like cutting up the leftover potatoes to fry and serve when we have breakfast for dinner so this way I can have them even when I don't have leftovers.

Lovely and so tranquil. I really enjoy the view from our back deck in the morning w/ my coffee and vape but it doesn't compare to your view.

Very jealous here. We're off to VT next weekend for some much needed R&R. We can watch the sun come up over the mountain, enjoy the day, then watch the moon coming up at night. It's my happy place.
