The 3 AM report from here, a theme and variations.
I continue to use Kanger Subtanks exclusively as my delivery devices. I've given up, though, on the clone replacement parts from Fasttech that enabled top-filling. The convenience of top-filling was too inconvenient because of the amount of joose leakage that seemed unremediable. In addition, refilling required a syringe. In addition, the glass tanks were thinner glass that broke easily. I'd never broken any glass tank before, but two of the clone tanks cracked and broke from mishaps of the type that the OEM tanks have survived a great many times without damage. It's been wonderful to go back to the original equipment of my 2 Kanger Subtank Plus delivery devices.
Back when I got my first mod that was capable of Temperature Control (about a year ago, I think), I purchased a 5-pack of the Kanger Subtank 0.15 ohm Nickel 200 OCC coils. The first two of those coils failed within a short period of time. They quickly dropped below 0.10 ohms during use, at which time the mods I was using at the time would no longer fire them. In addition, prior to failure, the vapor was sparse and pretty poor anyway. I put the remaining 3 of those coils into storage and more or less forgot about them.
Just a few days ago, the Kanthal coil in one of my Subtanks was approaching the end of its useful life, and it was time for me to replace the wick and/or build a new coil. Then I remembered that I had never tried those 0.15 ohm pre-built coils with my current more capable mods, a Wismec Reuleaux RA200 and a Wismec Reuleaux DNA200. So, expecting very little but with nothing to lose, I put one of those coils in my Subtank. It is working marvelously at 390 degrees F in TC Nickel mode in both devices. Very smooth, tasty and quite voluminous. Yay!
Shifting gears, I had a very vivid dream about a month ago. Bear in mind that I'm a political junkie who gets wrapped up in the craziness of the current Presidential primaries. So, for what it's worth, here's what I dreamed:
I was playing golf with Donald Trump. The golf course was covered with a couple feet of snow that had a solid ice crust over the top. We were using bright pink golf balls to help with seeing them in the white conditions. We also had tees that were several feet long, which we'd drive down into the snow and then mount the golf ball on top, sort of like a combination of T-ball and golf. It was very difficult to swing the golf clubs and maintain footing, due to the ice.
Donald was outplaying me in every way and was bragging about his own skill while laughing at mine. However, he was getting really worked up with the effort he was putting into his shots and his face was getting increasingly red. It was nearing the end of the round, and we were teeing off on either the 17th or 18th hole, with the clubhouse in sight a couple hundred yards ahead of us in the blizzard conditions.
Donald wiffed on his tee shot and became redder in the face. When he swung again, he went under the ball and struck the tee, which didn't yield, sending a jolt through Donald. The ball didn't move from atop the tee. With total concentration, Donald swung again and hit a great drive but he collapsed to the ground. He wasn't dead but he was unconscious and headed towards death. For some reason I feared that I'd be blamed, so I dragged Donald to where his ball had landed and then headed to the clubhouse for help.
Trump died, and I didn't get blamed. Calling all Freuds!
