I can't even say a guy in a picture looks "G" without ticking someone off. Sheesh. Did not really consider that an insult anyway. If someone is "G" is that an insult?
I am old is that an insult to say I look old?

Now fat and women I will NOT touch at all :D
Smart man.

Off the top of my head....Omg Meniere, and MattB101 are two people who could give you some input as to what they're using, etc....;)
Haven't tried them. I don't even wear the ones I have like I'm supposed to. Long story but, basically my ears sweat so much that they are uncomfortable.

Jim is. Sheldon isn't.

He's just clueless on the show. I think it's a maternal guidance issue. It may have been a side effect from the time he tried to build a nuclear reactor as a kid. Radiation poisoning, maybe. He was visited by the Men in Black who probably used the memory eraser on him.

Sheldon Cooper - The Big Bang Theory Wiki
Originally from East Texas, Sheldon started college at the age of 11, receiving his first Ph.D. at the age of 16. Sheldon was involved in numerous experiments as a wunderkind, such as his plan to provide free electricity for his hometown by building a nuclear reactor - a plan stopped by government pen pushers claiming it's illegal to store Yellowcake uranium in a garden shed!

There's a lot of information in this lengthy Consumer Reports article about hearing aids. You don't need to be a subscriber to view the article.
Best Hearing Aid Buying Guide – Consumer Reports
That is a good article. They didn't review brands, they just reviewed features. I think that is a tip-off to the fact that HA's are almost infinitely customizable, so if you have the options of several brands, it is best to list the features you want, then go looking across brands for whatever HA will fill the bill.
I'm currently using a GN Resound that's supposed to be pretty good.
My previous ones were that brand. I liked them, although the technology got dated. One of the worst problems with hearing devices, IMHO. But new ones are also nice.

Legs, too.
Thanks for the link. I've actually been a member of that forum for a few years, but apparently haven't made good use of it. Still, nobody came out and said this just blew the others off the table. I guess the fall back position is the trial period. I think the trial (full refund) period is down to 30 days not, but I've probably had enough experience with GN that will be enough. Since my current aids still function, I'm going to have to see more than a boarder line improvement before I plunk down something north of 30 grand.
I am also a member there, and I just got back in! Been a long time since I participated, but I learned a LOT! Don't get receiver in the canal, unless you enjoy going to their office to get repairs. I prefer to get mine fitted as if for someone with more severe loss, because I don't like the chirp when feedback suppression kicks in. I think that technology is oversold.

My current ones are Behind the Ear Hearing Aids, BTE Hearing Aids The advantage for me is that they are not far away from here. A hard-to-fit friend of mine actually went there to their clinic. They ended up hiring away our Mayo audi.

North of 30,000$ ???? You are really looking for high-end ones, then!

I was amazed but my Veloster came with a built in 500 watt inverter. Just push a button on the dash, open the console and plug in. Pretty cool. Kind of underpowered but for most small items.including a laptop it works fine. Just gotta watch out on the laptops. Some of them really don't like modified square wave inverters.
Veloster?

That stinks. Hope you can forget about him for awhile & focus on what you are about today & the headache goes away. (Then go home, set his alarm for 3 am to wake him up tonight & every night for the next week. I'd go further than that with the alarm, but you get the picture.)

I'm discovering that as we age good sleep is dependent on limiting caffeine. No more after 2 or 3 in the afternoon! It takes about six hours to clear the system and that's if you are hydrated.

I still remember the days when I'd come home from work and fix a big mug of coffee. I could fall into bed at 11pm and sleep like a baby. Not so much anymore.

Can I bring an OT problem to the group. I'm having serious hearing aid problems with both clarity and extraneous noise. My right one sounds like a 747 on takeoff roll just driving down the road. Don't mention a restaurant environment. I talked to the Liberty lady at Sam's, and truly, she makes the brand sound too good to be true. Does anyone here have any personal experience with the brand, especially if they can compare it to a different brand? I'm currently using a GN Resound that's supposed to be pretty good.

So far, I've missed that (not!), but my brother, SIL and Dad have all switched to the Costco linue-up and seem to like them quite a bit. They all use the behind and over the ear models.

it was a video of a family of bears in a pool, 1 mama and 4 cubs. Nope I'm not going to dispute their use of the pool. It's theirs, have fun. Check it out on youtube very funny.
Saw that on the news also yesterday, was too cute! Felt sorry for the little girl though when she cried, about the bear eating or tearing up one of her pool toys, forgot which one.

Denebulan isn't that Romulan for gay?

I took as fun and I will not censor myself too terribly bad here. I'm home and I act like it. I try not to insult anybody but I also am not nor will I ever be politically correct.
Absolutely! Although I sometimes fail I do try to be sensitive to others, but don't wanna have to walk on eggshells around anyone.

Unsolved mystery in our house:

So you can't put metal in a microwave oven. But the rack is made of metal. So what kind of metal is the rack?

I've often wondered this, saw the article, and possibly it's just a matter of pointy stuff and too small a space but have always wondered like Gary said if it's a different type of metal

Depends on the metal, Mike. I have never heated a cup of coffee without a spoon in it. Never a problem.
For reals? or you bein funny? cuz I'd believe ya and probably be dumb enough to try it if yur just funnin lol

You need to post of pic of you in the lipstick! What shade?

Good to see you and nermal posting! Caffeine doesn't seem to affect me much. Used to be very addicted to it, but not as much anymore.

Hope your headache gets better Crystal. And hope your son straightens up

Nope. Fur reeelz. I always have a spoon in my cup. No clue why, just always did. But they're stainless. Don't try it with a cup with some fancy silver or gold plating. Unless u like fireworks. And don't mind ruining a pricey cup. :)
