Unsolved mystery in our house:

So you can't put metal in a microwave oven. But the rack is made of metal. So what kind of metal is the rack?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
We have a combo microwave and convection oven in our motorhome and the whole inside is metal. I wonder how that works?

I have pretty good luck with porter-cable stuff.

But some trivia. Black and decker invented the electric drill. Were king of the hill for quality.
Then they fell off the face of the planet by turning out junk.
Stanley was junk, now pretty decent.

But - Porter cable, Stanley, Dewalt all... black and decker owned.

See I never even missed it :)

I used to like to watch is every now and again.
My DIL is hooked on that show. Has each season on DVD and watches them religiously, well, them and her Korean soap operas online.

I've spent that long living between the real world and the world I imagine to help me cope that it became blurry long ago.
When I find people or a person with similar interests, likes, thoughts whilst I am pleased I am still taken aback.

Can I bring an OT problem to the group. I'm having serious hearing aid problems with both clarity and extraneous noise. My right one sounds like a 747 on takeoff roll just driving down the road. Don't mention a restaurant environment. I talked to the Liberty lady at Sam's, and truly, she makes the brand sound too good to be true. Does anyone here have any personal experience with the brand, especially if they can compare it to a different brand? I'm currently using a GN Resound that's supposed to be pretty good.

Been awhile since I've seen you here with us..... welcome back to the porch...:)

There's at least two and possibly three people on the porch that use hearing aids, who might be able to give you some input, that I can think of , but.....they're not night owls like I am and are most likely asleep now. Hopefully somebody will be here in the morning to answer your questions.

Thanks for the link. I've actually been a member of that forum for a few years, but apparently haven't made good use of it. Still, nobody came out and said this just blew the others off the table. I guess the fall back position is the trial period. I think the trial (full refund) period is down to 30 days not, but I've probably had enough experience with GN that will be enough. Since my current aids still function, I'm going to have to see more than a boarder line improvement before I plunk down something north of 30 grand.

Oh, I look in here every day, but as I once explained, it moves so fast I normally look at the most recent page or two and see what's been quoted

I just got a 2000 watt inverter and mounted in under the hood in my truck with a starter solenoid type of power connection for it. Run my tools wherever I can get my truck. Otherwise in my workshop.
I was amazed but my Veloster came with a built in 500 watt inverter. Just push a button on the dash, open the console and plug in. Pretty cool. Kind of underpowered but for most small items.including a laptop it works fine. Just gotta watch out on the laptops. Some of them really don't like modified square wave inverters.

The dewalt lithium packs have 18650's in them.
I think mine (Ryobi) do as well. I don't have a dead one to cut open to find out but, as soon as one dies I plan on checking it out. Definately not a cheap way to get 18650s. A high capacity One + batteries can go. For around $100 depending on where you get it.
