Good to have them both taken care of.
Start the procedure the day after Christmas then every other day till I get 5 of them done, got a holiday in there too so I'll get a break between #3 and #4. Hoping it all goes real smooth.

The pup apparently slobbered my other quotes away. :(

And I forgot today's news. Husband had a colonoscopy today. I raised my nice 25% to compensate. :sneaky:

I hope so too. I didn't think to ask him where the factory is.

I could be wrong, but I thought AWs came from China. Or was this just a warehouse they were stored in?

China rings a vague bell. @mattiem, ask him next time if you remember. Now I'm curious. Guess we wouldn't hear about most floods in China.

@MikeE3 how much of a pain is it to refill those. I'm thinking real seriously about grabbing a couple. $38 for 2 using MAP. Do you guys use them a lot? Course I could get a couple extension kits for $2 each I think. But that wouldn't make them pocket friendly I do carry my K5 tho. I imagine its the same size.

Well, I see you pulled the trigger and finally ordered some. Hope they make it through customs faster than my FT order did. Thay sat in NY for 10 days once they landed in the states.

5 years stinky free!

Congrats clnire ...

I came to the conclusion that trying to make a tank into something it wasn't meant to be never worked too well.
I agree this K5 that I taped off is ok but no cigar. But they are so much smoother then anything else I own. Hoping the Primes are the same, I think the extensions will help also.

Me too Mike, have you noticed SXK has come out with some black and shiny finished ones, $2 more but they shiny ones look pretty good. I got the original flavor. What was it you did to be able to see how much you had the JF opened?
Yep customs can be a pain, hopefully they will come directly to the West Coast. They've already shipped.

On 'one' I put a score mark on the chamber with a diamond wheel on a Dremel tool. The one's not marked, I just look at one of the juice holes, then spin it open and count 1,2,3,4,5,6, and when I get to the 7th hole ... stop. That makes it just a bit more than 1 full turn open.

meh! ... I just took a look/see ... I'm not fond of the black and gold combo ... I'd have sprung for a couple in black if they weren't jazzed up with the gold.

Have you found a schematic also do the SXKs come with spare parts? I'm going to try my favorite TC coil and see if it works with one change 2.5 not 3mm the 26ga will take up a little more space which it looks like there is not a lot. If it works great if not might have to get some 28ga. I can see swear words in my future whilst building them. Not used to that tight of a build. Got spoiled with the K5s and Siren 2s.

Just remember to wrap your coil leads around the 'ears' and not the deck screw. Makes it easy-peasy to mount the coil. Actually I leave long legs on my coils, leave the coil on the mandrel, place to mandrel w/ coil right onto the air hole, take one of the long leads, pull it around the ears on each side of the screw, then wrap the 'long lead' around the mandrel to keep it in place, then holding the mandrel in place, tighten the 1st screw. Then repeat for the other lead. The I raise the coil some, trim the leads and done!

Sounds very similar to the K5 thats the way I do that one too. Those ears are handy. As long as you don't leave them long enough to touch the coil also. I take it you are talking about the ears on either side of the screw. I do go directly around the screw on the first side then around the ear on the other.

I haven't been getting around ECF a lot lately and was surprised to see this today. Stanton Glantz sued for sexual harassment Wonder how many other peoples' work he's claimed to be his and if he'll again get a pass on this too. He's not my favorite person.

Do I want to know what comment you meant to make?

EDIT - ECF is getting weird, it's not showing that I quoted Legs' quote of my post above. When I edit, it shows the quote though. Weird. Hopefully it shows up by tomorrow.
