Hope that's because it is time to retire... Sounds like you have earned it...

Retiring is hard to do. Been diligent about saving so that won't be a problem. But working is part of your self image. For a lot of people anyway. It's like a big step on the long downward slide towards the exit which is part of the second half of your life. Not really, but that kind of thinking does creep in.

I retired 2 years ago and took a part time job after 3 months because it seemed like a good idea at the time. The last 3 months of grueling hard work followed by a slap in the face from the GM cleared my mind a bit. Right now I feel really good about retiring.

I do have to replace the cedar siding on my house this summer. Babysit for the GGD. Repaint several rooms. Today I started replacing the exhaust fan in the bathroom, and a new microwave waiting to be installed. Lots of vaping stuff on the list as well.

I'll say ... I vape constantly

from Spinfuel:

"There is something, some truth that is spoken about in e-cigarette forums dozens, maybe hundreds, of times a day that for the most part all Vapers know to be true but others, non-Vapers, do not know. It is this; Vapers vape a lot more than smokers smoke.

We all know this to be true. Hell, if I counted the number of puffs/drags I take everyday from my e-cigarette and applied that number to tobacco cigarettes I would be in the category of a “4+ packs a day” smoker.

I’m a chain Vaper, like tens of thousands of others, I vape all the time. Why not? It’s safe. Harmless even. Hell, maybe even beneficial to lung health. And cheap. There isn’t a single reason that I can see for not vaping anytime I have the urge. I call it ‘pacify vaping"

I'm going to need to do something like that soon. When I'm at home I vape nonstop unless I'm busy doing something that requires both hands.

Tomorrow I'm going to hand in my 2 weeks notice at work. I spent the last three months working 5 or 6 night shifts a week due to staff shortages. I'm closing on 68 and it's getting harder all the time. They finally hired another engineer last week and I thought I would get a break. The next day the GM decided to get involved personally, to maximize profits he told us he was introducing 4 hour shifts during quiet periods. One of the other guys put his keys on the table and walked out without a word. My boss is a decent guy so I told him I would work my 2 weeks, as long as he didn't schedule me any 4 hour shifts.

Anyway, now I'm going to be home a lot. I can see my consumption going through the roof. Guess I'll be doing more cooking and gardening and so forth though. I thought about reducing my nic from 8mg to 4mg or so, but that might make me vape even more.

Wow ... we’re the night shifts in addition to your regular hours. That would indeed be grueling.

I was in the military for 26 years and smoked even before I was drafted for Vietnam (won the draft lottery - First birthday pulled). It has now been 2,730 days since I had my last Marlboro! BUT I still have two cartons of Russian Marlboro's sitting on the shelf! Everyday I look at them, and think I should either give them away or throw them away, but each time I pick them up to get rid of them, I think them could be the motivation to keep vaping! So I keep them for awhile longer!
I have noticed that more and more places are getting clued in on vaping. I used to go to a bar that sold cigars, so had a license that allowed you to smoke inside, instead of having to go outside like most other places. When I first started vaping, I would be asked to go outside to vape, but more and more establishments are getting clued in and allowing vaping inside. People are becoming more educated about vaping, and I have been asked thousands of times how to get started. And yes, I have been responsible for converting my daughter and many others from smoking to vaping! I used to have my before and five years after vaping lung xrays as my "proof" that vaping works! I would be dead now, if I had continued smoking four packs of cigarettes a day! But now I have clear lungs! As a side note: My chest xrays convinced my doctor to convert to vaping and is a strong supporter of it now!

Good for you getting your daughter off the smokes. I still have a few unopened packs of Maralboro’s around. I’m not even tempted to puff one, just a reminder of how thankful I am that vaping replaced them.

OMG, that is funny! [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] I'll have to tell my father that, he'll laugh as hard as I did. I brought home all sorts of animals but never a skunk. My mother has always blamed him for my devoted love for animals and trying to help them out.

I know a lot of you like trying new stuff but is there anybody on here that found what they liked, stocked up on everything, and now misses getting vape mail? I've been cruising all the old sites I used to buy from and can't find anything I need or want. There's always the unaffordable but even that doesn't make me wince much. :(

One more "caption" and Iffy has to give up the story. C'mon you guys! Is that you in the picture Iffstah?
I settled in over a year ago (2 years?) with my HexOhms, & K5's. I don't even go looking anymore. Icm down to 1 or 2 juices that are adv's. Who'd a thunk?.

I actually vape less than I smoked. Smoking was limited to work breaks & going outside to smoke the rest of the time. And smoking a whole analog. Vaping I can do anytime. So 2or3 puffs an hour vs a whole 120mm x2 at every opportunity. I vape much less than the pack a day I smoked.

Batch # 78, Sort of a fruit smoothie, freelanced minutes ago.

21 ml FA Yogurt (4.2%)
12 ml FA Bilberry (2.4%)
3 ml FA Spearmint (0.6%)
3 ml FA Watermelon (0.6%)
5 ml FA Strawberry (1.0%)
3 ml FA Cocoa (0.6%)
3 ml FA Lemon Sicily (0.6%)
50 ml 100 mg/ml nicotine in 100% VG
400 ml VG

Yield 500 ml at 10 mg/ml nic, 10% flavoring, 89/11 VG/PG

This came out really tasty right off the bat with no steeping done yet, just a few vigorous shakes of the amber bottle after all ingredients were put in. I don't use any heating or micro-mixing tools. It has a nice little bit of kick from the Lemon Sicily (which is the only on of these flavors I'd never used before), and the Spearmint. The only non-pictured items I used were a gallon jug of VG, a 100 ml graduated cylinder and a 10 ml graduated cylinder. I enjoy making mixes where all flavors are the same brand. Once in a while I'll add a few drops of vinegar or lemon juice to aid with blending but I didn't do that with this mix.

Neat story. Don't have a caption, but that image on his shirt looks like yosemite sam and popeye had a kid!

TJ - Anybody seen or heard from him? Anybody know if he's okay?
I've been wondering about him too for awhile now @tj99959

Awww! You're not blaming this little guy, are you?

how adorable!!! De-stinked skunks are so sweet!

As the story goes - when I was 5 I brought home a skunk in my little red wagon. He did not spray me - my father was not so lucky...
you lil stinker you! :p

Newp don't miss it. I'm down to buying batteries and a few flavors sometimes. At some point will need more pg and vg. But any money I get now goes to getting stamp mail! (not the postage kind)

OK, that question proves that I wasn't the only one who found details in the picture difficult to make out. I took the liberty of brightening up the picture.
thank you!

Are Snook good to eat?
Although stone crabs are eaten in large numbers thanks, in part, to commercial fisheries that support restaurants and fish markets, there are few foods more coveted in Southwest Florida than snook. It's illegal to buy or sell a snook. If you want to eat one, legally, you have to go out and catch it yourself.

and

In the Atlantic, snook must be not less than 28 inches and not more than 32 inches total length, which is measured from the most forward point of the head with the mouth closed to the farthest tip of the tail with the tail compressed or squeezed while the fish is lying on its side.
very interesting. I'd heard of them, but didn't realize they tasted so good, or that you couldn't buy/sell them. @Iffy do they taste anything like crab?

You're doing it wrong, Semi.

I vape while watching the coffee drip into my cup :)
Jup! My reo is the first thing I grab when I wake up. Before I even sit up (unless I gotta tinkle really bad) Turn the lights out, lay down.....have a vape or two. sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night. Can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep watching tv with a Reo in one hand and the remote in the other. Rarely dropped the Reo while I was asleep.

wow that stinks! But happy Re-Retirement. Sounds like you'll be plenty busy.

My chest xrays convinced my doctor to convert to vaping and is a strong supporter of it now!
that's amazing!! And wahooooo on getting your sister and others to switch. Welcome to the thread!!

Quite a mishmash of flavors! But, it does look interesting. I've never even thought about a yogurt flavoring. Sounds like a good idea.

I've found that I don't toss and turn much at all anymore (unlike my younger years). So, I sometimes wake up with my mod laying right where I left it as I dozed off.

I just wished I coulld vape like I used to but it makes my left lung hurt. Went in yesterday and my doc told me and showed me that the malignant tumor on my left lung which was pretty small has been replaced by a larger spot of scar tissue and I have another one on the upper part of same lung that is growing. She wants to wait till it gets to 8cm and then blast that one. I always get cm and mm mixed up. Its about 1/2". She said my lungs are in bad shape and covered with mucous so I have to start using mucinex and see if it clears it up. So I have another round of Cyberknife in my future. This thing really blasts the nodule the scar tissue is about 5 times the size of the nodule and she said that will always be there. All I've been able to vape is my Kabuki and a store bought juice. Makes me mad.

I've always tossed and turned a lot in bed...woke up upside down even, but can't do that in this twin bed, I'll fall out lol It takes effort to turn over and not knock Ozzy outta bed. and lord help us if Frankie had decided to jump in bed also. I can't move at all then with a puppy on each side.

I just hate that you have so many issues darlin. I had to look it up, but she prolly meant mm not cm. 8 cm would be over 3 inches. 8 mm would be .31 inches. At least they can blast em and get rid of it. My sil described that they inserted needles around the tumor and shot the radiation or whatever in that way. she has the hole from the first one. They tried doing the other one, but just can't get to it.

Upside down? In a cave, hanging by your feet? Can you vape in that position? Insert me ducking behind the couch here.
I do have vampire fangs, so watch out! :D I need Johnnie's vampire fang emoji. Prolly have it somewherz, but it wouldn't show up for long anyhow.

Just because she's upside down doesn't mean her mod has to be. And probably hard to squonk that way.

Gotta think outside the box, Bells :)
Precisely.

They did send me 5% off to finish my order, but does anyone know of any other coupon codes for RTD at the moment?
