My only new gear recently have been SMOK Fit kits ($10.99 @ on $ale) for my new v-verts and an Orion to try myself.

Have yet to receive the Orion.

The Fit provides a surprisingly pleasant vape. It's a great lil' starter kit for tyros to test the vapin' universe.

Material: Aluminum alloy + PC
Size: 18.4×8×107.5mm
Battery Capacity: 250mAh
Power Range: 10W-16W

{ @Iffy } ... how the heck you been ... and how's the bride. Missing seeing you as often as you used to drop in.

Just noted the counter in my sig- today is my 5 year anniversary of starting vaping! Never made it this long before...I quit for 4 years using patches, but relapsed badly.

Hooray for vape!!!

Congratulations!

Hey all been a while since I was on here. Just wanted to stop by and tell ya'all as of Thursday November 22, 2018 Thanksgiving day. I laid down my vape and have not used it since I am pretty much finished with it all. 49 years of cigarettes and 5 years of vaping and I am finally free of a nasty addiction.

Congratulations! I'm so jealous, I wish I could quit vaping but I know if I did, I'd go back to cigarettes. Well, actually, I'd go back to vaping but you know what I mean. Hand to mouth, bit of nic and all that. Just be sure to hang onto some of your gear and a bit of juice should the worst happen. ECF is littered with people who quit vaping, got rid of their gear, hit a rough patch and went back to smoking. I'm NOT saying you'll relapse, just seen so many where the worst happened and had to struggle to quit again.

Again, congratulations, job well done.

Haven't seen Debadoo in nearly a year, I think. Anybody know what's up with her? Is she okay, did she quit ECF, what's up? I'm worried about her. :(
She's been having computer access problems.

Congratulations to you! I agree with Tutu - hang on to a device or two and some juice, just in case.. Wishing you the best!!

I'd suggest the 3 hole restrictor to start, Dave. That will give more air than a KFL2+, and you can restrict it more with the external ring, so you'll have some room to "explore". If you find yourself always dialing that ring down, then you can switch to a smaller restrictor at the next rebuild. (Can't change the restrictor with the coil on.)

Last night I got the Skyline out of the box and tried the air restricters. I like the 3 hole best. Sometime today I'll wick it up and try it out. It seems not to have any traces of machine oil on it, but I'll give it a wash to make sure.

When I ordered it I also ordered two extra glass tubes. Cheaper to get it all together on a FastTech order.

Well I've been up since 0430 and I thought I already told you about the Orion Go. I love it. It's tiny battery doesn't last great but not bad for the size. It is so stealthy. Haven't been able to try a lot of different things but for what I'm using it for it is a neat little rig. Gives you a nice vape, the way I have it set not a ton of vapor, which is what I want. Can't get over the size. Will tell you a few more things later in different circumstances. But if you just want to put something in your pocket and be able to take a vape occcasionally this works great. I use a nic salt juice at 30mg normally I vape 4-5mg so more vape not necessary. I've only used low so far and the .5ohm pod. It seemed a little pricey but glad I got it now.

I initially got two, so I could set them up differently. Subsequent order of more, I added several restrictor packs and (iirc) a package of 6 poly tubes. Don't vape crackers, have never had issues, so for me the poly, being less liable to break, made sense.

They ARE making inroads on my KFs!

Janet has occasional leaking ... don't know what's up with that ... user error or otherwise. I should start using mine more regularly to understand it more.

I built the CopperVape Skyline this morning and got it right the first time. I took me a minute or two to understand air and juice flow, but once I figured it out all was well. I have the 3 hole air restriction insert in and it's just right for a long time Kayfun Lite vaper.

She is fully closing the juice flow before filling, isn't she? And, after fill and closing up, inverting it before opening it back up, to let the slightly pressurized air out?

I lucked out on my first build with the Skyline. JFC was closed from the factory, so I didn't make a mess. I did have to figure out why the vape was getting weaker after a few minutes. Then, I discovered the JFC, turned it until I could see it begin to open, and hit it right the first time! For my 12W vape it's open about the thickness of a sheet of 24# printer paper.

I'm liking it so far. I'm probably going to retire my KF Lites for the Skyline. This is the first one I've bought and tried that's given me the impression that it may be a strong KF 2 replacement. I have most of the KF variations and none have lasted long enough in use for that. I always go back to the KF2 as my main vape.

My experience as well, @DaveP , and that sounds about like where I have my JF set as well, for 8.5 watts :)

I, too, have a few KF variations, and the 2Ls are my usual go-to. But 4 Skylines are also in use - I typically have around a dozen going, all different flavors.

Most of the variations have too many parts, I like the simplicity of both the 2Ls and the Skylines. :thumb:

Hmmm? I don't know if she is fully closing it or just closing it enough to close off the juice slot. Would it matter that much if she's not fully closing it ... "I wonders".

Edit: oops ... she just said she closes it until it doesn't turn any more. But she is opening it up more than the thickness you and DaveP mentioned. I'll have her not open it as much and see how it goes.
