If you vape where you were able to smoke who cares! If you want to argue it's vapor not smoke.....thanks in advance for the stiff regulations were gonna have forced upon us. Most proponents put anyone blowin anything in the same category! Respect you're surroundings and the people in it and you'll be fine.

So in other words, lets make sure everyone believes that vaping and smoking are exactly the same and just as dangerous. Amazing plan.

I vape in public but not inside public buildings generally.

Generally speaking, the only building I vape in is my home, friends houses, bars that allow smoking and outside. Many people know what vaping is and my mechanical sure does not look like a cigarette. Over time, the general population will eventually accept vaping, it's not like any technology advancements have ever been put back in the box once released. OK, but if you eliminate the Middle East--generally people will learn, adjust and accept the truth....usually. When cameras were first put on cell phones there was talk about banning them in public places. Have to protect the children from pedophiles taking pictures of them in public bathrooms!

If you fear the ignorant--then you'll have a miserable life. Vape on but be reasonable.

My job allows vaping, but NOT if your device looks like a cig or pipe. Too many complaints from visitors when they have seen people using the cig-a-like ones. Management got tired of explaining it, so they banned that specific style.

That's interesting. First time I have heard of a "type specific" restriction. And I understand your management's thought process on the issue. I have always believed that the more we vapers do not use cig-a-likes, the better it will be for the vaping community.

I've no interest in cig-a-likes. I may be a victim of mod envy though.

That's the way it always goes...you can ban theirs but not mine.

It really makes sense at my job because I work in a nursing home. There is liquid oxygen about the place. People really freak out when they think someone is smoking an analog around liquid oxygen!!

When they see a non-cig-type device and vapor coming out of it, they seem to think it's a "neb treatment" or something.

No crazy panicked people running to the administrator or director of nursing scared that the building is going to blow up!

Our residents are allowed to vape inside the building, but only in their rooms or the room of another vapor. Some of them even say, "I'm going for some respiratory therapy". Employees can vape indoors in the break room.

Where I live, vaping is rare, to the extent that I have seen literally no one else doing it. Smoking, sadly, is not so rare. I make a point of going out to vape, as that's where I meet smokers. If they ask about what I'm doing--and they have--I will explain. It's not my business to annoy a non-smoker eating at a restaurant. It is, however, perfectly appropriate to explain what vaping is to a smoker. I wish some vaper had done that for me years ago. I would have switched sooner.

I honestly believe that one of the best ways for us to avoid legislation is to vape in public and explain what it is that we are doing.

I honestly believe that this will do absolutely nothing toward legislation, regulation or anything else.

It's all about the $$.

Oh god! Almost afraid to post here. Trial and error.

We want to expose people enough to be knowledgeable or at least know when they hear malarkey about it. At least that's the way I feel. Sort of like fishing though, when they start to fight give them some leeway to flounder about and wear themselves out. People sort things out at different rates so some may take longer to fight their preconceived notions and nurtured prejudices. That's just my opinion and how I will approach the issue. Not trying to tell anyone else how to behave or think.
